Deathblades are one of the Advanced Classes that fall under the Assassin Class. They wield Dual Blades and a Longsword, which allow them to deal incredible damage up close at an astonishing pace. However, they’re difficult to pilot as a solo player especially when it comes to higher-tiered content because they have to constantly change positions to maximize their damage output.

I have around 1200h on Russia mostly nonstop pvp and i played before the Deathblade came out . i got videos with my rank and how i was in top 5% on my channel just for reference that i am not talking crap. In the past 2 days i have been spamming pvp and i looked over Deathblade skills / made 1 after almost only losing against this class-specific . It is totally op because of : huge burst , mobility , nonstop super armor and AOE CC that makes it impossible for a class to get close because you will lose the trade 100% . I then looked on Korea and Russia threads /ranking : surprise .. it is the most broken thing considered in every region and the ranks show it as well .
I hope you will talk about it maybe we can get a balance check faster .
Loving my Deathblader my dude. I really appreciated your video VERY EASY TO FOLLOW. You really helped me with a lot in this video I am lvl 27 pretty much lvl 28 Deathblader as my main, then I have a lvl 20 pally, lvl 15 Striker, lvl 22 Zerker, lvl 15 Bow I think there called a "DeadEye", lvl 3 mage, and then a lvl 23 Gunslinger. I AM REALLY enjoying the game there's just something about the game that just keeps pulling me in... & I can't stop lol haha. Great Vid tho mate you killed it!

I tried out a bunch of the classes in the trials and deathblade immediately won me over with how quick/mobile and hard hitting it felt. Didn't know anything about the game, so these guides are perfect to get a starting grasp on it.
Finally, a good guide. The skill explanations at the start are what I spent a good deal of time looking for.

Moonlight Sonic is amazing, it is a must have. I currently hit 50 and am sitting at 440 ilevel. I do 50% plus of the damage in guardian raids as I just got the I Hit Hard achievement and am a consistent MVP. Highly recommend this class if you want to delete everything. Great guide Ty

Love your guides. I have used them for my main and all my alts. The only thing I struggled with this guide for was what runes should I add to the suggested combat skills. I looked elsewhere and I found a guide that I hope can help others to perform better with their skill build. I currently have a 1460 Deathblade and I'm having tons of fun playing her. Here is what I found for my current 8 combat skills:

which engravings should i be looking to level from the books that the post 50 quests give me for deathblade?
To get void strike you need to get to the vern from following world quests and got a quest for your 1st awakening and then you get the void strike

I trialed the Deathblade during the beta and was very impressed. In my opinion it has quite a few similarities to the Warrior from Tera, which I had mained. The only downside to me is that Deathblade is gender locked (personal preference, never was found of gender specific classes) but I loom forward to a male counterpart hopefully in the next year or so. In the meantime I will play as Paladin.

@@Cadenaz I miss 2012 to mid 2014 the most before they removed remodel and Vanarch systems. Looking back I am so happy I got to play Tera when it was new and fresh with plenty of people to run dungeons with and learn from. If they brought a retro server in I'd recreate a character from scratch.
I had the exact same feeling like you, it's like Warrior from Tera that I mained too, also feels like Levi from attack on titan, Zoro from One Piece, Nero from DMC and Riven from league of legends had a baby, and I'm all in for the adoption of her
@@wolfskull23 Tera was the first game that made a priest class that wasn't complete garbage to solo level, not only it wasn't garbage, it was on par with other classes, Bard in Lost Ark gives me the same feeling
That's going to be a long wait unless they specially said they would do it. Since this is a Korean game it's normal to play female character. Personally a pixel don't he screen is not going to stop me from playing a class I like. Just saying :)
Tried out both engravings, remaining energy seems to do a lot less dps unless I'm doing it wrong. Maybe that's the trade off for it being seemingly easier?
When I was levelling up my Deathblade I wasn't quite feeling it, until I got the Surge engraving and now I don't think I will find a more fun class.

currently acquired powerpass from my sorc journey to 50 am really digging death blade but dunno i want either him berserker or wardancer and am really struggling with decision any thoughts on dmg fun wise
Would be nice if you could include how to allocate your skills if ur skillpoints are low, since this is a video requiring 340+ skillpoints or so whilst most ppl (probably) only got 270-290 to this day.

Definetly go for Fist of Darkness and Sustain enhancement - its just way better. this guide recommends a couple of very strange tripods that i (and many others) dont agree with also remember you probably dont have enough skill points for everything that is recommended in the guide once you hit 50 so i suggest going earth cleaver push - moonlight sonic as mentioned with shade sonic - malestrom orb control blitz rush with vital point, charge enhancement and shadow rush, void strike with orb control fist of darkness and dark explosion and on dark axel i recommend swift fingers (so the animation ends faster) and as the guide said pick the optional tenacity and not corkscrew that was recommended - high axel is a must have tho and finally spincutter with open weakness. Thats my opinion atleast in the end you gotta go with what works best for you. You got options try everything out but some choices that are a no brainer usually are not recommended here idk why.
Is that little freeze at 3:44 something that happens to everyone? I've been trying to do everything I can find online to fix it but I still have random little stutter/freeze like that in all parts of the game. Not only when doing a skill or moving around. Sometimes when right clicking to equip items, or add cards, triggering a skill, npc talking to me. It's often enough that I definitely notice it.
Anyone know what the assassin's creed-looking skin for Deathblade from the thumbnail is and how to get?
In the skills and tripods section you listed 10 skills, however you can only equip 8 at a time. Which ones do you equip and if a skill is not equipped does that mean it gives passive benefits?
Best question i have no idea either dont know why cant you just have all skills in the bars a bit weird
As much as I understand it (With my 4 days of experience so take my knowledge with a grain of salt) no skills give passive bonusses, so the 10 skills he listed are the 10 you should choose 8 from, depending on your preference or the content you're going against.
@Joker the skill system in lost ark is a bit more focused than in other mmo's, the system is based around having 8 skills and not more so the cooldowns, upgrading with the skill points etc. are balanced with the content
He mentioned that if you want to impair enemies further & receive push immunity, to take Head Hunt & Turning Slash. So generally the -other- 8 abilities it seems.

@@MatthewTheUntitled i did play vanilla and you could have every skill in the bars plus talents :d sure you wouldnt use all of them but i can tell you as an hemo rogue i had way more than 8 , cold blood , slice and dice , kidney shot , gouge , backstab , eviscerate , rupture , blind , vanish , hemo. There you have already more than 8 skills and i can keep going. Maybe if u said garbage shadowlands would make a bit more sense

I miss a part about using the orbs, if I should press it once and use it for my normal skills or its better to click it again and do this Z attack using the orbs
Generally you will get more during the duration of only pressing it once, unless the second Z will kill the remaining enemies

You need to farm skill points, which is a slow process. Just search here on UA-cam for a guide of how to get skill points after level 50

You will get Void strike and Awakening skill as a reward from a purple quest, after you get to Vern Castle *do the main quest*

You surely know a lot about the game, and you have a good content but you go so fast 💨 that we can’t follow up and therefore we loose 50% of the informations, best thing is to slow up a little bit so we can follow up. Beside that keep it up good work 👊🏼

That's all you can max level it seems. I am in sane boat but i am level 55 still with only 4 maxed skills
you gonna get skill potions from endgame activities, don't worry about that, master the skills you have atm then add rest step by step

I tested the damage of Moonlight Sonic between Dark + Sustain vs the video recommendation because thats what ive been doing...
The total damage numbers was insane: 39670 (With fire/Quick) vs 61089 (With Dark/Sustain)
I also did sustain with fire: 57402
Item level 533.33, with stats ranging from 150-300 depending.
I'm sorry but i cannot accept anything besides sustain. Quick prep is nice, but sustain just gives way too much damage to be passed over.

Assuming you are only hitting one enemy, sustain in this scenario gives you another 10k damage in a damage comparison of one minute. 3 casts per minute vs 2 per minute, Sustain feels the better choice for bosses or anything that quick prep can't kill instantly.
After hitting the later half of tier 1, most other skills have difficulty one shotting enemies on par, with moonlight with sustain being the only one capable of doing so.

The ones he mentioned will do you really well. For me, the staples are Void Strike, Moonlight Sonic, Blitz Rush, Soul Absorber, and Dark Axel. The video actually has some decent tripod setups, so go with that if you want to get the feel for it.
As for early level, don't worry about it too much until you get moonlight, then dump everything into it asap.

Im new to this game i selected the Deathblade without watching any video's.
I did try Warrior but was not me.
Started with Gunner but got bored with the low damage.
This game looks beautifull, bu also such a time sink...

Mostly all guides has a same problem, they are refering to lvl 60. Wish there would be guides for level 50 cause that is where the grind starts.

@@love-pz3zn Follow the main story quest to Vern city until Beatrice notifies you to visit her in Trixion. Completing her questline rewards Void Strike and Flash Blink Awakening Skill. Check your mailbox and consume the items to unlock the skills.

That'll depend on your play style and preferences.

@@Slowp0w Actually, that's wrong. At the time of the video I watched, the top 200 blades... only 3 were surge, while the rest were remaining energy.
@@latrebra3851 Depends on what you're after and your play style. You could consider both to be equally good. Though looking at "good" is just a way to fail. After all, if you pick nothing but high damage skills... considering them good... then you've created a trash build, because you won't have armor, movement, or counters that you should., etc.

also both spincutter and turning slash give 9%dmg increase for 10 seconds (for all party members) and since they are on low cooldown you can technically keep it always applied

Great guide for PVE, but a lot of this is wrong for PVP just a heads up for those wanting to find PVP stuff.
can you reset those skills without getting any penalty ? i mean ill set up for PVE mode for grinding and reseting those for PVP mode
@@hendyiwan9998 Yeah pretty sure you can have multiple specs saved, not sure if it costs anything to swap between the two or not.
Hmm Ilvl 460 atm and I ended up with:
- Lvl 3 Super Charge
- Lvl 2 Master of Ambush
- Lvl 1 Barricade
with 0 lvl on class engraving XD. Is this good, meh or bad?
You should definitely go with a class engraving that fits your playstyle, our damages comes mostly to either Surge or Remaining Energy.
- Remaining Energy let you keep a part of your death orb buff for 30s after the use of surge, which is too good to skip on
- Surge let you stacks damage for your surge ability while using skills in death orb mod, which is also really good
at the end choose which one you prefer and go for it.
So for now your build is definitely meh if you miss your class engraving, super charge meanwhile is must have for a Remaining Energy deathblade

Level 1-15 and I am in love with Deathblade... altho I did notice things got a bit hairy during that demon invasion. So it gets harder the higher I level up? ugh... ok g2k.
before level 50 the game is basically a huge tutorial to explore the world and try things out, the roster level even encourages you to try other classes and explore the world, which is awesome
Nice guide, I'm def going for this class, since i like assassins and pvp, it is supposed to be a high tier class for that.

Amazing so far for me
Great with a couple cons. It's absurdly easy early on and there's a lot of content you get bricked with. However, the game picks up speed after level 30ish and while ya get bricked with a lot of content it does a decent job holding your hand through some tutorial stuff.
Pretty good but gets really confusing along lvl 30 when they slam you with content.
