I start flight school in August at a major! This has been over a year in the making! I’m soooooo excited!!!
Congratulations and way to go!
Well, you’re set to embark on the most thrilling adventure that will deliver the highest of highs and some of the most frustrating lows. Have fun with it! Congratulations on just getting to where you are now!
Congrats! I’m right at the beginning doing ground school😂
Me as a student pilot: 🧍🏾♂️
In curently going working on my private pilots license in highschool and going to college for professional aviation
Starting flight school in 90 days. I can't wait to start the journey to a Major!!
Congrats!!
Can’t wait to see you in the skies
I just started flight school 2 months ago. Word of advice, get started on the ground knowledge! Get any of the written exams out of the way that you can. For me, the flying has come easy but the ground knowledge is an insane amount to start to conquer. I am at an accelerated program but I would imagine it's a lot regardless.
@@chaseseuffert3551 I'll be in an accelerated program as well. I lucked out and met an instructor who is helping me with ground knowledge prior to starting. Gives him practice instructing and me the ability to learn beforehand.
@@chaseseuffert3551what school? I live in Ga and currently looking for one
keep making these behind-the-scenes video, as a student pilot i find them helpful! will be soloing here in the next week or so!

Big fan keep up the good stuff
As a CFI with 715 hours, I am very ready for the next step! Been watching you for so long, keep up the great vids!
8.6 hours in the logbook so far at my little Part 61. 52 years old and took the FAA a year to make sure I could get a 1sr class medical, so you can bet I’ll take advantage of some of this premium pay once I get in the cockpit.
Hi Garrett! I just started flight school 2 days ago and I absolutely love your videos!
How’s flight school so far?
Awesome video garrett. Looking good buddy
We just drove through Slovenia yesterday. Beautiful country. I’m stationed in Germany and had a vacation in Croatia.

You rich bro! Congrats. Go for a home gym update.
Checkride for PPL next week! I’ll y’all up there soon🤙🏽
More of these please.
So informative
More videos like this !!! Please bro
I have a long way to go to be in this position (I’m commissioning into the marine corps as a pilot if I’m selected next year and I’ll have a 8 year service obligation after flight school so about 10 years total) but if I’m not selected I’m definitely going to go this route and fly commercially
try naval aviator as well if you don’t get selected on the marine board. must have at least 2.5 gpa and astb score of 7’s and above and you auto qual for selection
Great going...
i recently visited NYC i loved it there a trip to NYC was a dream trip of mine it was so cool to have a dream vacation
I recognized LaGuardia immediatly as you walked in!
I like how the time the video ends is 737
Ljubljana is an amazing place one of the best places I’ve visited ❤
Hey Garrett! Is there any best way to reach out to you for some questions about a pilot career?
Good 👍 job!!! ✈
hey garrett. seen part of your video before you made it private but in all seriousness. how about making that vlog into a livestream so people can get the answers they want or need right away?
I an airplane geed and love your videos. Have a friend that made 900k two years ago.
I’m starting flight school in August !

Don’t do it bro, biggest disappointment ever
@@Bro-wb4yr why do you care?
@@fahadalbalushi684 cause I’m an airline pilot
Do airlines ever assign pilots to different bases or is it 100% up to the pilot if they want to move?
What's the shade of your veneers? Is it bleach 1 or 2?
I’m convinced pilots put captions such as this for pure clickbait at this point.
Beautiful hound!!!!
I always pray for you more success in life and good health 🙏❤️ Sir Garrett ❤️❤️❤️.
The only thing money cannot buy is health.
Great day CPT Henderson pilot Garrett ray ❤️😍
7:37 good one
Garrett I am an upcoming pilot thinking about flight schools. Please recommend me which flight school is the best around newark airport.
Is there an amount of time that legally you are suppose to remain grounded?.
I want to become an airline pilot! I speak English and understand Spanish very well but I am still improving on the speaking aspect. What other languages are useful for this job?
thanks
VOO and chill with that extra pay if I ever get that high.
What’s a 15 45
You kept saying it at the end
Glad for you getting that bag, but I find it disappointing that airlines still try to give pilots even more money, meanwhile mechanics barely top off at $100k while getting exposed to chemicals and physical injuries.
Dang!😮 👍
Hey garret do you recommend college or part 61 schools for perspective airline pilots coming out of highschool
Go to a 2 year college college and get an associates degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology, get your A&P license, Remote Pilot license, Aircraft Dispatcher License, AGI/IGI Ground Instructor license. Get your private, IFR, commercial, and multi engine under part 61. Get your commercial single engine sea, commercial glider and sport gyroplane. Don't bother going to a 4 year college nor university because you will rack up debt with no hope of getting a job in your field to study.
Part 61. Do not train under part 141 nor 142. 141/141 is way too expensive.
Hello❤ my dream pilot in America inch'Allah 🤲🤲
Do you have to be really good at math, I always wanted to become a pilot but was never really good at math
👏👏👏happyne for You life on pilot and father of belle ,and your lo es White raquel❤
Shit youre so lucky in the US. Here in EU starting at midnight and going back and forth, coming back midday is standard without any extra pay :/
❤❤❤te iubesc
I am a Canadian major airline pilot, we have a hard time making $65K as an FO.
❤❤❤❤
If pilots can only fly 1000 hours per year, how do you get to a million? If he flies every trip at 150%, if his base rate is $200/hr, that's still only $300k/yr. Do DH hours not count towards flight hours? If that's the case, let's say a pilot flies 1000 hours and DH 1000 hours. All at time and a half. $200x1.5x2k is still only $600k. What am I missing to get to $1m? Are we factoring in profit sharing? Per diem?
Yea I definitely can’t make that at my rate. These are typically captains.
The length of this video is 7:37 , just as the Boeing 737
😎😎
Hi cpt I like your tattoo artist and very nice
Looks like Garrett is a 1st officer by his stripes.
I ha estado not fly for you of pilot viscaupse not fly usa i fly Europa for verano aug in the line Jet fly
Wish the FAs get a new pay soon!!!
He's a 737 pilot, how is he an international pilot?
Imagine if you lived somewhere besides New York and made that much. You'd actually feel wealthy.
737
Can you do a video about if pilots can have a beard please
He talked about in a past UA-cam video and TikTok. They can’t have beards. They have to have shave faces because of the masks.
Some of the cargo airliners allow beards. Like my company Atlas Air. I believe UPS allows beards too. It’s a good thing because we are all pirates.
We wear the same oxygen masks. It’s more for show to the public than safety these days.
Can we get more bonanza videos 👀
Coming soon!
$1mil as an airline pilot is really $500k after the impending divorce for never being home from working so much. If your marriage survives, your health definitely will not. Live a modest life and work as little as you can. Best advice I was given in my career…
Not with the cost of living being so high nationwide across the USA and Canada. You need medical savings and emergency money.
@@CHGMANCHG live within your means. If you can’t make it on a major airline pilots pay, then you messed up somewhere. If you want to drive a Ferrari, don’t become an airline pilot.
@@amouredsaint872Look. The cost of living, cost of healthcare, cost of insurances, cost of groceries, cost of utilities and cost of education tuition is so high that you can't manage your finances.
@@amouredsaint872That is not true. The cost of living is so high that airline pilot wages cannot no longer keep up.
Dude, y your so handsome?😅, u look like a pilot while I look like a hamster 😂😂😂
Didn’t realize you were on international. For some reason, I thought you were domestic.
Second!😀😀😀😀
You look like a goofball walking around the airport and terminal with your selfie stick.
If he doesn't care about it while doing it he certainly doesn't care about your comment
Yeah, you'll be lucky if you take home €50k (in Europe). Before taxes. To all the aspiring pilots: don't be fooled. Educate yourselves before starting flight training. And for the record: there is no (zero flight time) pilot shortage. There is a 'captain shortage'. Again, don't be fooled.
I believe everything you say. I am a big skeptic about those incentives advertised.
What country are you from?
Exactly bro you said it. IN EUROPE. US in on another level
Why, they pay our pilots a lot. Military says they make that, but a lot of those pilots make more than 50k too. I guess our airlines are bigger, so if you have smaller ones that can't pay that makes sense. Aviation is not profitable from flying alone.
"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
You need all the money you can with the cost of living skyrocketing nationwide across the USA and Canada. You need medical savings and emergency 🦺 money. I know what the Bible says but you have to forgo biblical standards to put a roof over your head and feed your family.
You obviously come from privilege as evidenced by your lifestyle, your first-class travel (and I don't mean non-rev), and the frequent vacation trips. My question is: what do you give back?
;)
American really screws their workers over..:
The union leaders would frown at this..
Bro you are not even a millionaire. Stop this nonsense
When did he ever say he was a millionaire?
@@austinwaits1425 he lives pay cheque to pay cheque and will be lucky to have a networth over $2 million before retires
Any more pics of Slovenia, besides picking up trips, pilots make $ from utube that's nice ,
You will have no life if you do this. Chasing the dollar is foolish. Family and faith are far more important. I have been in the business 28 years and I’ve seen many divorces and family breakups.
Family first for me. But it’s nice to know you can make extra money if you need/want to.
I’m also in the business. I’ve always found this sentiment to be misguided. Work smarter, not harder. 3 days of pay for 1 day of work sounds amazing. You can chase cheddar and have excellent quality of life with your wife and children at the same time. Try harder.
@@flywithgarrettGreat content and love your energy Bro! I’m an avionics tech with 35 yrs of experience. Wanted to be an airline pilot when I was young in the late 1980s after immigrating to U.S. I didn’t know how and never met a person passionate as I’m with knowledge and “ways to achieve it” as I could guide a younger version of me to be a pilot now. This is why I love your content because you provide some guidance and perhaps would consider creating a A-Z guideline “how become a pilot with an ATP rating” , so any teenager or a young adult has a checklist they could work with to achieve their dream job as an airline pilot. All I know is, you rarely run into a pilot who’s “just doing my job” vs most that are absolutely passionate about flying.
As hard as you’re working, living and enjoying your life… make sure to max out your 401k contributions every year invested in diversified investments (compare fees and returns to the S&P 500 as a bench mark) and Roth IRA (if you qualify for it), so that investment grows as you age. Compound interest returns does not show up overnight though it will be working for you every day and will be waiting for you when you arrive into your late 50s.
Wish you good weather and safe flights in all your journeys!
congratulations flywithgarrett
