Hey bro, you've said Tuesdays and Fridays and here I was waiting for your post. You keep your word and I'll keep my loyalty. Thanks for your hard work and my much needed therapy!

Hey bro, I really appreciate you taking the time to respond to my and other's comments. I just wanted to say please don't feel obligated to do so. I am thinking maybe you can build a shredder machine (or ask Vevor if they have one), and mount it on two rails over the totems. So you can slide it over the bin a gind plastic, metal, paper. You can fit lot more in the totems. And watching stuff being shredded is a wonderful content to watch.
Hi Ants. You can use the large blue glass jar for fermenting pickles. Your mother may know how. The old silverware can be sold…sometimes silver can fetch a good price. The large ladle looks interesting. I would use that. And your grandmother’s cast iron frying pan is a real gem! I would use your grinder to clean up the metal and then oil and re-season it. You can make fried potatoes for your children, and maybe they’ll do the same with theirs. If you can get that old Soviet record player working, you could sell it to a collector, along with the iron. Sometimes it’s fun to go through old stuff. Good for you.
I've replaced loads of motors, switches & battery's from name brand tools that I've found whilst dumpster diving. I've replaced everything pretty much with Chinese made parts, motors etc from ebay & paid literally the cost of 3 magic beans. They've been working for years after the fact cause sadly the parts that are inside these expensive tools are already from China from new there just rebranded sos the likes of Dewalt & Milwaukee can sell them at a massive premium cause people pay more for the name. If you find the dimensions & power rating then match them up on companys catalogue or contact them with your dimensions of your motor or other parts needed, you'll find ur repair costs pea nuts. .
33:00 That always happens. I use a rotary tool with a tiny cut wheel to make a decent notch or two and then hit it with a proper tool to get the bearing race to crack, then it's easy to remove. Using a grinder will probably end up with big notches on the wrong place, behind the bearing race. Proxxon FBS 240/E is the ultimate little tool. Way quieter and steadier than any Dremel I've ever tested (only 2 xD) and has torque for days (for it's miniscule size). And the chuck is "universal" and fits anything from 0,3 mm to 3,2 mm! It goes "only" to 22k rpm, but anything above is more likely just marketing numbers without any load. I once told a dude to get a Proxxon, but the store only had the beefier "pro" version and it was crap. It had a more beefy frame but everything else in it was more crap than the cheaper one. Way more cumbersome to use.
You can bolt that smaller saw that you exchanged onto a small, good-fitting table. Maybe with wheels on one side or ready for bobcat transportation. It won´t make it a lot more immovable (we used aluminium Profiles). Ja I know, Ants Pants will use lot´s of steel and lumber... so better make it bobcat-ready! 😆But you shouldn´t make it too massive to keep some mobility. You usually want that saw to sit sturdy on some table anyways because of working hight, stability, precision etc. We did that with a similar saw and we love it! It´s like a movable table saw for the smaller things that you can do directly on your worksite!
Pressing the bearing was fun. Imagine if this was a Joseph track knuckle that thing needs at least 20 tons of press fit to loosen up. So a 5-7 ton press fit is nothing. I can say the Mazda runs great and no more annoying bearing noises in the front. I think Ants you need a lawn tractor upgrade at some point. Other option is a robotic lawn mover but it can get lost very easy. That record player would be super sweet in a old car from the same era. I have kept silver spoons one of them is probably from the I8 century. I like what you said: old antics aka mostly junk. 😂Anyway many thanks for the help man, would have been dead stranded with that bearing.
Watching you cut the grass made me reminisce of when I was a young boy spending my summers with my grandparents, The bought a riding mower and I would cut their grass with it, they lived in the Pocono mountains in Pennsylvania and your property is a lot like theirs was. Thanks for the good memories!
That was an awesome story about the rock. I love watching your channel just because you never know what is going to happen around the farm. Thank you for the entertainment.
Hoping your mother finds pain relief and healing soon. Blessings, You may have some collectible antiques. May be worth some money. Don't throw away before checking them out for worth.
Hi buddy on UA-cam I once saw a rotary screen made out of plastic 200 litre drums with the top and bottom cut out. They were screwed together end to end to form a pipe which he sat at a slope on rollers up in the air , the highest drum was filled with holes around 10 mill the next was blank then about 30 mill holes and so on . He powered it with a v belt and a small electric motor which hung under it. Below the blank drum stuck some posts in the ground which he nailed some coregated steel roofing , to keep the piles separated . He got a old slow conveyer from somewhere which he used to feed dirt into the top end at a slow steady pace to keep the drums from stalling , he got dirt in one bay gravel in the next then stones and the larger rocks fell out the end. The hole thing was high enough to use a bobcat under it . The hole thing was very primitive with tree limbs and fence wire twisted at the joints. It worked amazingly well. He claimed the trick was to have less than a barrow load in the drums at any time. Filling the in-feed and clearing the piles keeper him and his bobcat going full time
Hello Ants Pants ,another great video as per-usual, i hope Super Mom gets well and comes home soon, she mows lawn better. Lol. Every time you release a video, it makes my day and makes me feel good that there are good ,decent people like you out there. Stay safe, take care. Canada.
1:24:10 I've seen channels on UA-cam dedicated to bringing back old cast iron pans. So I think this would be an interesting project. Then fry some potatoes when you're done :D
a dairy farm channel I watch has a kubota skid steer with several access panels below, similar to the dozer. When they powerwash it they can get the entire engine bay clean, with those panels taken off. I would say its 100% worth it to cut one (or a few) openings, put on a nice plate with some fat bolts, and make maintenance that much easier and lasting. Also, those 1:03:41 are commonly referred to as a "pallet jack" over here in the cheeseburgerlands, but pallet truck or hand truck are the same thing too. It would be cool if someone was able to help figure out what some of that historic stuff is from, and the word for those temperature gauges is thermometer :)
I have owned a place with 5 acres for almost 40 years. I had very little money when I first started at 25 years old. My first mower was a worn out single blade mower. It took over 6 hours to mow everything with it. Then I went through 3 riding mowers like you have. each would last 3 or 4 years before repairs started taking up so much time. I also had a pull behind mower that was offset that I used on the bigger areas. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a used commercial Zero turn mower. The difference was night and day. It cut the mowing time down by way more than half. Repairs were easy and much less often. blades last 2 years now instead of half a season because they are so much thicker. I found side slopes to be much more stable with the zero turn. Getting stuck was something that happens much less often as my zero turn has massive tires in back. The welded steel deck will not have the problems you have now. And lastly my zero turn has a suspension seat, something I suspect your mom could really benefit from. Just get one that has support of aftermarket parts as they are much cheaper and easier to get a hold of. My new Kubota is very nice but having to go to the Kubota dealer for almost anything besides the blades is expensive and annoying compared to my 24 year old mower it just replaced.
Sorry to her mom has not been well, well wishes for super mom. The thing you got after the iron is an old, old record player. Those irons you can still buy in my country today.the cutlery looks like silver. Lovely treasures. You found.
33:49 Yeah, wheel bearing replacement jobs are always fun. I mean, it's metallic parts that both rust, AND have close tolerances, plus always exposed to the elements. I hate being a car mechanic sometimes.
Your Rocks are amazing ants, and its good you got them formally inspected by rock professors too! Very enjoyable video yet again. So sorry to hear supermum isnt well, i hope she is fully fit again soon.
Those temperature "gauges" are legendary good. The new stuff takes forever to shake down. Those mercury ones catch a good price over here. We only have one and treasure it a lot.
Hi! I hope your Mom is feeling better. Your video was so good, I especially liked it when you went through all the old finds when you were cleaning up. Check everything, someone might buy it because of the age of it. Take care and have a great weekend
Hey buddy, love you channel love seeing your family love seeing Steve I did a baron just like that on a Honda and it was a lot of work and the hardest part is at the end is supporting the center when you’re pushing down the spindle keep up the great videos
great content like always! tip to get very stuck c-clips to release from all the rust: find a punch that fits in the both of the holes on the circlip and go loose with the hammer. If you hammer the circlip on the open end to try to rotate it, you usually force it open rather than trying to close it up. Anyways love your videos as always! especially the mechanical ones!!
I have a Ferris Zero Turn, and my slopes are just as steep as yours! The trick is to drive up and down the steep slope and across the less steep slope but don't mow when the grass is wet. Sometimes you need to let it dry out a bit. But keep a chain handy to drag it out occasionally. Besides your used to getting things stuck😂,lol. Don't be afraid to get the Ero Turn and now three times as quick because you don't have to go around and around anymore .
1:07:43 I burst out laughing... damb funny... when you bought that I asked myself wtf you were thinking but hey thats why I keep watching.... you learn... most cant at all and you learn most episodes.... it gives me hope for humanity.
Those old fork and knife sets as well as the old military medals might do well on ebay. I'd bet a lot of that old stuff like the coal iron would be worth a few bucks too.
Great video! Always look forward to your video’s. Sorry to hear about super Mom not feeling well we wish her a speedy recovery with her back as I well know and my significant other also knows how painful back problems are. She might need a new mower more comfortable for her to ride and a bigger deck so it doesn’t take so long cutting the lawn. I see Super sister has been helping out with jobs also what a blessing to have help when you need it. Fantastic idea for your plastic bins to use them for recycling. We recycle everything we can in this house. We hate plastics also. It was great to hear about your rock sorry it wasn’t a meteor it would have been worth a whole lot of cash. Bummer about your employment situation also, but as I say everything happens for a reason and with Super Mom not doing well it’s probably just as well your not working because she needs you right now and you are available now to be there for her. And with Fall time nearing you will probably be busy getting ready for winter. Are you thinking about taking a different line of work? I know you have many skills and you are very smart. I hope you have a great week. take care
The white shaped packing material is call "styrofoam" in the US. It is not recyclable. Just goes into the land fill. The chrome curved thingy with the curved wood block w/knob is an ink blotter, Used after fountain pen use so ink will not smear.
You can easily restore that frying pan. Just get the grime off and put new layers of oil on it. It is called "seasoning" in english, which is strange if you ask me. But that pan is usefull for probably another 100 years
1:26:39 That is an "ink blotter", missing the blotting paper. That curved part is wrapped with the blotting paper and bent in tension into the frame. When you write with ink pen, it takes time to dry and with ink blotter you can dry it before the smudges all over the paper. Never rub with it, it's rolled over the text once or twice. Modern inks dry faster so they haven't been used for a long time.
WHO HOO! I've never seen the birth of a bearing before. And then the insertion of da GROOVY HUB...Bow Chicka BOW WOW! Steve bringing the sexy auto parts that needed Ants BIG TOOL whoops I mean tools to repair. 😏🤥 Thank you fellas for showing us how to deal with bearing and hubs the easy and hard ways! 💖 from Minnesota. 🇺🇸 😎
Hey Ants, I use a Ferris IS3200 Zero Turn in my landscaping company, it handles slopes very well, I just put nobby tires on. As far as I can tell, your slopes are no problem for most Zero Turn Mowers, worst case: get nobby tires. For non zero turn: those old Deere f725 are pretty good too, even better would those Deere f1545/f1565 be.
Penny and porter of Lincoln uk made a screener for grain. The principle was a series of rings set at differing spaces that allowed the articles to flow through when the rings where rotated, a series of funnels were positioned under neath leading to separate collection points. Very very simple but superbly efficient and effective.
The stone grader would need to be fairly large, but the rings idea is by far the most simple method of sorting stone and not needing much power unless you require a crusher
Check carefully that dinner ware sometimes they are made using silver and the numbers may be the quality of the piece, 925 is use to ID good silver because it doesn’t tarnish so easily 🙏🏽👍🏽
Zero turn lawn mowers are good if you add weights then they work fine on side hills. I had one I did about a just less than 45° angle ditch and with the wheel weights on there and fluid in the tires it worked just fine.
Hi there Ants I do really enjoy your videos and really enjoying this one and I hope you're super mum recovers quickly I send my thoughts in my prayers to you and your super mum at this time and your family from all the way in Papakura Auckland New Zealand

We here in Finland decided that you can keep the cool rock under the condition that you keep doing videos. :)
We had a public vote and results came for it just a hour ago and it is as @abbcc555 says.
Did he say anything about the name of the type of rock it was? Different types granite basalt sandstone quartz,
@@Pukkake I'm Finnish and i can concur, universal support for you to keep it! :D
But remember the land it occupies is now officially Finland.

If you hammer the circlip on the open end to try to rotate it, you usually force it open rather than trying to close it up. Anyways love your videos as always! especially the mechanical ones!!
It looks like gold....
Ok thanks for the info
You could shread the while plstic Polistirene, then add it into the top layer concrete for a slab ... to get some insulation
1:07:43 I burst out laughing... damb funny... when you bought that I asked myself wtf you were thinking but hey thats why I keep watching.... you learn... most cant at all and you learn most episodes.... it gives me hope for humanity.
😆
Those old fork and knife sets as well as the old military medals might do well on ebay. I'd bet a lot of that old stuff like the coal iron would be worth a few bucks too.
Portable record player , electric kettle , demijon...used for brewing wine
You're a little rock lover 😂 … love it.
Rock on!
I've been throwing tons of little rocks into my newly dug drainage channel all week. Watching you do it, is just making my back hurt!😂
Great now my back hurts too
Another great video, thank you for sharing, i learn a lot , always a good moment when i watch you and your project, have a nice week end everyone 👍👍👍👍
Thanks, you too!
I hope you have a great week. take care
Thanks
The hand pallet truck we call a pallet jack where I work
Yup, same here
The white shaped packing material is call "styrofoam" in the US. It is not recyclable. Just goes into the land fill. The chrome curved thingy with the curved wood block w/knob is an ink blotter, Used after fountain pen use so ink will not smear.
Ohh
Heheh
Hey Ants, I use a Ferris IS3200 Zero Turn in my landscaping company, it handles slopes very well, I just put nobby tires on. As far as I can tell, your slopes are no problem for most Zero Turn Mowers, worst case: get nobby tires. For non zero turn: those old Deere f725 are pretty good too, even better would those Deere f1545/f1565 be.
👌
Nice video A. P.
Thanks!
Penny and porter of Lincoln uk made a screener for grain. The principle was a series of rings set at differing spaces that allowed the articles to flow through when the rings where rotated, a series of funnels were positioned under neath leading to separate collection points.
Very very simple but superbly efficient and effective.
Im thinking about a giants turning container
The stone grader would need to be fairly large, but the rings idea is by far the most simple method of sorting stone and not needing much power unless you require a crusher
Check carefully that dinner ware sometimes they are made using silver and the numbers may be the quality of the piece, 925 is use to ID good silver because it doesn’t tarnish so easily 🙏🏽👍🏽
Ok i will
uuuh Mate, I love all your content but that Steve collab was unexpected and very welcome.
Keep up the great content!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Zero turn lawn mowers are good if you add weights then they work fine on side hills. I had one I did about a just less than 45° angle ditch and with the wheel weights on there and fluid in the tires it worked just fine.
Ohh
Hi there Ants I do really enjoy your videos and really enjoying this one and I hope you're super mum recovers quickly I send my thoughts in my prayers to you and your super mum at this time and your family from all the way in Papakura Auckland New Zealand
Thanks Matthew
Really hope all is going the best way for your Super Mom. Please send my regards and best wishes. Love your channel. Has been giving me many ideas for future projects of mine. Keep it up and going!
Thank you, I will
That white crapp with thinners makes a very good sealer😅
Good 😂
