My wife and I camped on McCray lake over fifty years ago. It was wonderful often we would be the only ones there . The only thing that you had to look out for was rattlesnakes. The fishing was mostly great. I even came up from Georgian Bay and fished the wonderful Muskie. There are more campers on a weekend now then there was in the whole summer then
30 years ago, McCrae was only known by locals. Today it gets crowded and some don’t respect the ecology. Hard to say if it’s good that more people can experience and enjoy nature - maybe learn to protect it - or are there just too many people who will abuse this wonderful place? I hope for the best.
