You'll always need to have the tip off of the assembly because refitting the perforated core back into the outlet of the tip is pretty tricky with the body still riveted on.
FYI…..next time just pull the tube out. Breaking the rivets just creates extra work. Makes it a little harder to line the core back up, but it can be done
Rivets suck, I always install Rivnuts/Nutserts on the core insert and then use button head screws instead of rivets to hold it all back together, makes it much easier to service the packing each time as 2 strokes require replacing the packing more often than a four stroke.
Props for finding a local company and giving them a shout out.
That thumbnail definitely looked like something else 😂
I already know how to repack a exhaust but I still watched. You need to make more content. I just found you and love your commentary.
As long as you had the pipe apart, you should have burnt off the caked on oil carbon on the screen to clean it up
Me and my dad were literally talking about how my exhaust needed to be repacked so this is pretty helpful for me
I've used the "pillow" type refills. Just wrap with some tape in the middle & each end to hold in place. More critical on spoogy 2-smokes.

I re-packed mine just this week as well!
While you had the muffler apart, I would have used a wire brush to remove the built up carbon on the inner core tube.
Definitely ordering from Bristol core.. as I just tried redoing mine last night with the fmf stuff and made it worse 😂
Shop vids = thumbs up
I placed an order for repacking material from Bristol Core but never heard anything. It's been over a month. Are they still around?
I absolutely love love your videos but note to self: Don’t let Zach work on my bike 🤔😳🤣
more of these
Lol @ hammering the tip. Definitely going with Bristol core from now on. Way easier that wrapping, cutting, and taping.
Man that packing was nasty

I wanna know how’s bike has the bud light shock wrap on it?? That’s cool
My 250x turned into a screaming bee to a low grunting 450 sound
Thought that video might help with a camera angle if you didn't get figured out yet
✋
"started tapping the tip" aka violently beating it with a hammer.
Mine was a little more difficult though.
If you think beta are loud with no exhaust you should listen to gas gas with no exhaust. It sounds like a gunshot
why do i need to do this?
i used to think that old 250sx sounded good 😂
Is this an ad? XD
