My little baby girl, Robin, adores these beautiful songs. She goes into a calm trance whenever I play them and is totally mesmerised. Thank you! Such a lovely bonus that both songs include a Robin! ❤
This is fantastic! Thank you for capturing such an environmental session. In the US, a song I found recently for those that are looking for similar - Starling Arrow & Ayla Nereo - Wild Sweet (feat. TIna Malia, Marya Stark, Leah SOng & Chloe Smith) But now I'll be looking forward to more Rufous Nightjar!
a beautiful three piece harmony group a treat to listen to some old school folk accapella music. Something sadly a dying tradition but truly worth keeping alive like all great folk music
Oustanding, delivered in all simplicity and honesty. My son sent me this link because your harmonies really touched him. Now I am touched (in a good way Red Robin)!
Absolutely captivating to the point that I pre-order their debut album, Songs for Three Voices, after seeing this... Can't wait. As far as other Irish artists I think would the GemsOnVHS Team should capture next, Muireann Bradley comes to mind immediately. Crossin' my fingers! Thanks for all you do, Team!
Sounds absolutely beautiful, such a cool style, overlapping voices, man...sitting outside listening to the frogs and the sweet smell of flowers in the evening air...❤

@@GemsOnVHSOn Sunday, are the audio channels reversed from the position of the singers? Could make it seem like the video and audio weren't shot at the same time.

I really hate that corny college choir/Pentatonix-style a capella, it’s one of my least favorite kinds of music. But this is not that, this is cool! like you said, the harmony is so precise. But how dare you tease us by mentioning an All Star cover and not providing it.
indeed. the culture of accapella singing is much different in ireland, i've found. at the pub you'd find many more folks willing to sing without instrumentation. in america this is nearly unheard of, except in the rare cases of appalachian ballad singing. accapella singing in america is associated with choirs at best, barbershop quartets at worst, and a lot of it ends up being very cheesy.
Sean nos singing is becoming quite fashionable in Irish rock at the moment and it grates on my nerves because I'm so used to hearing it unaccompanied it sounds odd to me. This trio are technically outrageous but a pub vocal session is great craic because you might have some old fellas whose voice is shot but compensate with expression or ballads with an epic plot.

They really remind me of Mountain Man. Not just the three harmonies, but the way they sing together. Beautiful video
First time I clicked I listened on repeat for the next 2 hours. 💚 Love you gals, thank you for your art
Oh man this is so good. I listened to it 4 times in a row. I love how they're able to layer their vocals and play off of each other, just awesome.
Gorgeous. I’ve listened to your harmonies repeatedly. Sending wishes from California for a smashing album launch

Chills, these harmonies are so precise

Neil Gaiman should hire these ladies to write the next soundtrack to whatever he's working on. Their voices are magic.
Oh my yea! The immediate thought I had was him or Stephen king for a soundtrack to their amazing stories!
Superb! Thank you Rufous Nightjar and thank you, Anthony. That was incredible to watch and see! The human voice really is the greatest instrument.
