IL is home and I love the mass of yellows in the fields right before soy beans are harvested, and also the color of the cornfields before harvest, but have to say it’s the Kancamagus highway in New Hampshire for some stunning fall views.
I have just started watercolor painting this month and am very grateful for you YT channel. I have lived all over the US and Chuckanut Drive is my favorite stretches of road to drive at night playing Sarah McLachlan's Remixed album. As for trees, I grew up in Maine and hands down for me, this is my favorite autumn place to be. The intoxicating aromatic decay of the deciduous trees is my favorite sent. The variety of colors you can see, especially when the Sun is rising or setting is epic.
Thank you for this video! I found it because I live in Virginia where the Appalachian and Blue Ridge mountains come together and I've got so many pictures of the trees here that I want to start painting.
Wet Virginia has the most beautiful fall vistas!! You should come out here sometime in mid to late October. The Cranberry Glades and the Scenic Highway are particularly gorgeous!!
I’m in eastern Washington, and this year we got an early freeze then two weeks of splendid colors as all the trees turned. All the trees had all the colors! Beautiful!
I will try this because it reminds me of a road trip up through New England, Maine to Canada a few years back. Here in Sydney, I go to the Blue Mountains for the changing leaves, especially spring. Thank you for breaking it down for me.
I agree, Fall is my favorite season. The colors of the leaves, that amazing smell of Canadian Air when it moves down here, cool and crisp…mmmm Love it. Your tress are beautiful. I wish I could do this. I have a hard time with watercolor.
Growing up near Tacoma, we went for countless rides, but I only remember that area in the summer. Now my favorite area is in the Columbia River Gorge. Typically, our fall leaves turn golden so when I saw my first sugar maple in autumn splendor, I was stunned!
I’m going to give this a try tonight, thank you! I like in central NC and we have lots of pretty colors here but I’d like to see the PNW colors. I love all of your videos!
I have a question not related to trees! How do I clean my travel palette when the little pans are all full? I find the mixing sections get very muddied after a short while. Favorite drive is here in Colorado near the continental divide . Worth pulling over and looking at the stars. The fall colors are phenomenal there too. Thanks!
The roots bleeding into the soil is super cute John, I have never gotten a happy fall card. Do you duplicate your Christmas card lists for every season in Wisconsin? must have alotta happy postmen that side. I love the fall, but my least favourite thing is cleaning the leaves out the gutters lol. In SOuth Africa we have the "Garden Route" its the most scenic route
Hi Fiona, If I can help our by answering your questions, the tutorial is about painting easy fall trees. So the tutorial is supposed to be fun and approachable for beginners. If you are subscribed to Jenna's channel, you will notice that her watercolour style is whimsical, so that might be why you thought her illustrations looked "cartoon-like". All the best with your watercolour journey 🌲🌳🌴
Nicely done. Clear and quick. Maybe it is just me, but I do feel the random non-sequiturs from the guy are not helpful. We viewers are doubly concentrating on the brushstrokes and it's like the guy is bored and just interrupting for no reason. It's like watching a football game on TV with my wife in the room. She gets bored and "makes conversation" when everyone else is trying to watch the game.
Massachusetts… the most beautiful foliage. Love your tutorials, Jenna!❤️
Chuckanut Drive...yes, it is really beautiful . Thanks for a good tutorial.
Seattle & Vermont have wonderful Fall colors!
The best road trip for me is the Ozarks in Missouri. Gorgeous!!! Lots of birch and oak.
IL is home and I love the mass of yellows in the fields right before soy beans are harvested, and also the color of the cornfields before harvest, but have to say it’s the Kancamagus highway in New Hampshire for some stunning fall views.
As a New England-er the best fall colors in my area happens to be on the highway!
So true!!!! Kancamangus highway!

In England, the best fall colour is in Somerset. My favourite place to go is Westonbirt Arboretum. 😊

Drive to the West coast of BC, before the strong wind that blows all the leaves off the trees, and you will see stunning fall colors.
