I’m so glad you liked this! 🥰 Thanks so much for watching and commenting today. Now that Christmas is on its way, I’m hoping to try a winter landscape soon!🤞Have a great rest of your day.💕
I had to smile about the, 'this looks terrible' comment you made, but that you persevered through it. I can’t tell you how many hot messes I've experienced and how happy I was that I didn’t give up! 😊 But at first, at the beginning of learning watercolor, I always threw them away. I've looked through all your landscapes and I just love them all! I’m thinking maybe you’re being a little hard on yourself and probably because landscapes are more challenging to you. I think we all struggle with that too. But really, your landscapes are all beautiful! You do such an amazing job on your compositions, both sketching them out and designing them! You explain your steps that follow each other so well and you're so encouraging. Thanks for helping us discover our artistic side and improve along the way! 😊💕 You are so appreciated!
🥰 Oh Laina…. You are absolutely amazing. 💕 Thank you so much for your comment today! Just goes to show that everyone can continue to improve with their artwork, whether they’ve been painting for a month, a year, or 10 years. 😉 I think I’ll get more confident with landscapes the more I practice them. You are the best, I can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for me! Have a wonderful weekend. ❤️
I want you to know that I love your landscapes just as much as your florals. The colors on this autumn tree are stunning and I love the way they blend with water to paper!
Thank you for not giving up Liesl. That in itself is such an inspiration to me since I am a beginner and give up more often than I care to mention. Your autumn painting finished with a real bang!!, as beautiful as I knew it would be. ♥️🎄🙏🏼
You’re so sweet! 🥰 Thank you for your kind comment today. I’m glad I didn’t give up, even though I didn’t think it would, it turned out ok in the end! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment today. 💕
Awww, 🥰 You are so kind Nancy, thank you for the lovely comment. I appreciate your support as well as taking the time out of your day to watch! 💕 Happy Painting!
You’re so kind Helene, thank you! I’m glad I didn’t give up too. 😉 Just goes to show we all have our off days when painting, but it’s good to keep trying! 🥰 Thanks for watching today, it’s good to hear from you. 💕
This is beautiful and landscapes are your forte. I'm so happy that you chose to paint this particular Autumn landscape. I've been wanting this type of scenery that has a tree with a meadow in the background and a fence and this is exactly what I had pictured. Liesl, you are not only talented in painting, but also in teaching. Throughout every step you do, you explain in detail everything so well, which is very helpful for someone like me who is new to watercolors and unsure of when to use more or less water and paints. When I heard you state that you almost gave up because you didn't think it was good but decided to persevere, it really hit home for me. As a beginner, I've been there (a lot) and talked myself out of continuing with the painting and even questioned my painting ability. The next time I feel like giving up on a painting, I will remember what you said and I will persevere as you did. Thank you for that. Thank you also for sharing your talent, for this helpful tutorial, for giving me the courage to continue to paint when I might doubt the painting and myself. You are appreciated so much.
Aww, 🥰 you are just the sweetest person! You have made my day. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely comment, It means a lot to me. I’m so happy you enjoyed the tutorial and I wish you all the best in your watercolor journey. I hope you continue to press on and not ever give up! Take care and happy painting my friend. 💕
I am soooo glad you stuck through the process and showed us that you too get worried about the so called "ugly stage".... which to me, this painting didn't have but I did understand how you felt!
Awww, 🥰 You’re so sweet Laura. I guess it goes to show we shouldn’t give up on our artwork! 😉 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment today! Have a good one.
Aww, you are just the sweetest person. ❤️ Thank you for the kind comment! I’m so happy you liked this. I hope you have a lovely day. Take care and happy painting!
I've been struggling with landscape myself because I have better control with floral. However, I did produce a happy accident autumn tree abstract painting recently. I started my tree in a similar way to you and nearly ditched it. Love watching you work.
I’m glad to hear I’m not the only one! 😉 I’m also glad to hear you found some success in the end though. Thanks so much for your comment today! I truly appreciate it. Happy painting my artist friend. 🥰
To say that landscapes aren't your forté, youv'e done flipping great job there. Love the colours in the trees. Thanks for the tip on how to paint the fences as well - I'll try that
I hope you give it a try! 😁 I find landscapes to be a little tricky, but it’s fun to do once in a while. Have a great day Helen, it’s always a pleasure to hear from you. ❤️
Thank you for this tutorial! And for sharing that you almost gave up on the painting…but persevered! This happens so often when I’m painting and I usually just toss my work. You’ve inspired me to keep going.
Oh good, I’m so glad you found this helpful! 🥰 Sometimes it’s just those final finishing touches that make all the difference in our paintings! 😉 Thanks for watching and happy painting you!
A very well done representation ❤❤❤the SECRET behind watercolour projects is the DETAILS which are done at the end I'm not a beginner and I've seen many videos but your procedure is a perfect explanation for all levels to conceive the whole process and consumption of watercolor
I agree with you! The details are the key behind a well done painting. 🥰 I’m so glad you liked this video and I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment today, it means a lot. Take care and painting! 💕
So beautiful!! I just painted along and it turned out pretty good ! Love how you explained everything🤗 I always post my paintings on Instagram but I couldn't find you there? When I post it I wanted to tag you! But either way thankyou so much for this beautiful Fall Tutorial🍂🍁
Yay! I’m so happy this turned out well for you! 😊 I appreciate you wanted to tag me in instagram, but I haven’t got around to setting an account up yet. I plan to in the near future though. 😉 Thanks so much for watching today! Have a good one.
Good morning Ralph! 😊 The original size is 9x12, but I actually cut the paper down before I started painting to 8x10 because I have an 8x10 frame I was wanting to display this in. Thanks for watching, until next week!
OMG like literally when she said that hers was looking terrible, I was so offended by that because I thought that hers looked amazing compared to mine and I don’t know… that was just very discouraging 😢
I do apologize for this Melanie. This is actually the opposite effect on which this statement was intended. I was hoping to just share that even if you’re not feeling pleased with how a piece seems to be turning out , to not give up on it. Sometimes adding in the details can make a big difference to artwork. I was also trying to show that even as a professional, I also sometimes feel frustrated with a piece. Again I apologize for the offense. That was truly not my intention. ❤️
@@lieslsartisticstudio it’s ok… my painting eventually turned out ok and my older sister who I gave it too rlly liked it. Thanks for making the video ❤️
Please more landscape tutorials I love watching you paint. This is beautiful. Thank you
