Susumu Hirasawa put Satoshi Kon's dreams, and his animation, to music. This music fits the visuals...perfectly. This music, is the sound of lucid dreaming.
I love the optimistic view it took to how crazy and wonderful dreams could be. This theme right here just encapsulates that wonder in the opening sequence

It's become a life goal to see every Satoshi Kon film in a cinema experience, What the films were intended for! Also i'd love to see Susumu Hirasawa in concert but i live in Aus so I think i'll have to go to Japan for that haha...
Me and my sister watched Paprika at a convention when we were teens. We had NO IDEA WTF was going on at any moment the entire time 😂😂 By a good margin the most weird random sequence of events I've ever witnessed. This song is awesome though, the vibe is immaculate ❤
Art is the only thing that makes me cry on a consistent basis. I cry at music, stories, comics and lyrics practically every day. I love and am always deeply impressed by the beauty of well-crafted things.
This song is so beautiful that it makes me excited for the joy, brings joy and manages to make you see the world positively. As if it helps you believe in your dreams. At the same time, however, my heart is crying because I think Satoshi Kon had other dreams to realize, he still had a lot to give. And through this melody I am able to perceive his love for this project and for the desires in which he aspired.
i just watched the movie because i liked this song so much, it was delightful to hear his music accompanied with those visuals, they really complicated each other a lot
This world deserved to see what more Satoshi Kon could do with his talent and passion for animated films. It is very sad we could only experience it so much, but at least we have what he left behind to remember him for a long time. Hope you are doing great up there my guy.
The intro to this film is one of the best intros to any anime production I have seen! Musically and visually collaging ideas! Paprika's intro is up there with also the Full Alc Brotherhood introduction. Oh, and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure intros never disappoint.
