I think it's safe to call the 1080ti the best GTX card ever. The Titan Xp just uses the full die with a slight oc to the vram. They're marketed differently and most people with any semblance of a budget will stick to the mainline numbered GTX/RTX cards. I very highly doubt Nvidia will ever release another GTX card as powerful. But, who knows? Maybe we'll see a GTX 9030 in 2030. It'll be a basic htpc style card designed for 16K video playback. It'll be a 17 year old 1080ti vs the 9030 in a 2030 retro game showdown.

@@woopyman4167 while it's clear that a 1080ti would outperform the 6500xt, it's not necessarily the worst option compared to other GPU's for the same price by any means
I would love to see an Nvidia vs AMD RT battle, where you find closest matching cards! Does the RX 6500XT match the GTX 1080ti (in RT)? What Nvidia card actually matches the RX 6900XT (in RT)? How does the AMD 6000 series match up to Nvidia 2000s, where does that match on 3000s?
That Pascal could work with RT effects was known before it was incorporated into games and drivers. However, the GTX 1080Ti does not have specialized units that could increase its Raytracing performance. Lowering the resolution or turning on fsr will not do much when the scene is more complex. Moreover, Cyberpunk is a good example that even RTXs can be too weak to kneel without DLSS enabled
I really expect upcoming Ti will become another legendary GPU for years. 3080Ti isn't too impressive i think. It's good for sure but we need another monstrous flagship which is 50% faster than 3090Ti at 4K with the same or less power consumption. Amen!

I played Metro Exodus Raytracing on GTX1070 at a PS3Pro res of 480p with High Details, looks like a post processed heavy PS3 game with 480p cinematic visuals at 25-35fps.
This card clearly aged like a fine wine when it comes to playing with no raytracing whatsoever. Wish AMD's were the same, sadly not the case with the RX Vega series just coming short.
I recommend using DXVK, becuse this program forces the game and the driver to run the game with vulkan api. This can help with low fps, especially in ac origins(at least for me) from stuttery 45 fps to smooth 75 fps! I really recommend this! But some games doesn't want to start with it for example gta 5(says no directx 10 or 11 graphics card found)
The Titan V is on the Volta architecture (I believe it's the only consumer card that is) and it does have Tensor cores, but I don't think it has ray tracing cores. Gamer's Nexus did a benchmark of it a long time ago and it didn't perform well due to no game driver optimizations existing for the card. You'd probably see better performance from the 1080 TI even if it's hardware is less powerful. I also believe the 1080 TI would be better than both the Titan Xp and Titan XP, they have a lower core clock which I think would really hurt performance, but I'd love to see the comparison if you get your hands on one of the Pascal Titans.

even today the GTX 1080 TI still a name that when you hear it, you think about power, it is legendary, the one thing that makes me sad is that gpu prices here were i live (brazil) still expensive as fuck, for a RTX 3050 (i bought one) you pay 336 dollars! and that was "cheap", and game studios today focus on anything else than optmizing their games, most of older titles (2017 and older) looks amazing and runs pretty well even on older gpus, most of games today, even in a considerablely powerfull gpu, will run like crap (ex: cyberpunk runs like crap on anything else than an gtx 1070) if you dont use upscalers (dlss or fsr 2.0 / fsr 1.0)
I loved this card. Only card I loved more was my GTX 1070 G1 Gaming... That thing ran way above 2200Mhz core clocks :O GTX 1080 Ti was also better than my RTX 3080, which has great performance and all but it's just not the same fun to overclock...
Kryzzp with this video you showed of the gtx 1080 ti experimenting with rtx traces, it will still be possible to buy this graphics card even in 2022 until 2023.
I'm one of those people that has RT on whenever it's an option. Doesn't matter the type of game. But I'm fortunate enough to have a powerful enough PC for it, so I wanna get the most out of it while I can.
Nice video! I currently hold the world record of port royal for both 1X and 2x Titan Xp, which is also the world record of the the fastest non-RTX card among port royal testings. For 1X Titan Xp I has 2777 pts while for 2X Titan Xp I had 5169 pts, which is in line of 2060 mobile and stock desktop 3060Ti respectively. In non-RT settings I have scores on par with 2080 Super and 3090 respectively for 1X and 2X cards. Hope that makes the data a bit more quantifiable :-)
You really need dedicated ray-tracing cores if you want to have ray-tracing run well in almost any game. If even the mighty GTX 1080 TI struggles to deliver even at 1080p, I don't know why some were begging for the ray tracing option for non-RT GPUs on both Nvidia's and AMD's side. The option is nice I suppose. But it's not a very wise option!
The GTX series was never meant for ray tracing. It's software RT rendering just is not fast enough compared to hardware based in the RTX series. I tried it myself on my GTX 1660 and the framerate and image quality dropped drastically.
G'day Kryzzp, I would say even with the performance drop to cinematic at least in these games that work with 1000/1600 GPUs you can test if you get anything from RT-ON, then if you are unsure whether RT-ON is for you it will give you a guide if RTX is worth it over a RX when getting a new GPU.
I wish you would include max fan speed tests in your videos since allot of people will just max the fan speed out and throw a headset on like I do. I know it would make the videos a little longer but it would give a little more information to everybody. I know allot of people use speakers and won't Max the fan curve out but allot of people including myself just Max the fan curve out and throw their headset on.
@@zWORMzGaming I play at 2k to 4k with a overclock on mine but I disagree. I've seen videos you made where the card in the video is running at 80 Celsius which is when you lose performance. A more recent video being an afox 6600xt. That's why allot of UA-camrs actually liquid cool or max fan curve the cards for benchmarks videos so they can showcase the card at its max penitential without losing core and memory clocks by running at stock fan speeds

a budget will stick to the mainline numbered GTX/RTX cards. I very highly doubt Nvidia will ever release another GTX card as powerful.
But, who knows? Maybe we'll see a GTX 9030 in 2030. It'll be a basic htpc style card designed for 16K video playback. It'll be a 17 year old 1080ti vs the 9030 in a 2030 retro game showdown.
we goin Quantum by then.
@@Brukner841 lol, yeah for sure... Jokes aside though I don't think we'll have a personal quantum computer anywhere near 2030. Just the cooling necessary for basic compute is insane. If 2030 scientists figure out how to make the qcpu do anything beyond a pocket calculator's tasks while being cooled by normal PC standards I'd be surprised. By then even if we could make quantum computers portable they'd only be used for specific research purposes. ...I'd also be lying if I couldn't at least imagine a day where people use personal quantum computers for gaming and such. Even if we see that day in a hundred years it'll appear as if a thousand years passed for a present day observer. It's fun stuff to think about.
quality content right here!!!
5-6 years later this is still a great card and one of the best products nvidia ever put out, dated sure, but the value for money for the time puts the new cards to shame. You can't even get a new mid tier card for the price of a 1080ti back in the day. The mid tier 3000 cards were stuck with only 8 gigs of vram, they simply weren't worth the money
The 1080ti is still such a beast
i JUST got a gigabyte 1080 Ti and i would never expect it to run maxed out helldivers 2 or even other major games. That card is insane beyond understanding.
It's pretty decent. The 1080 Ti is about on-par with an RTX 4060.
Day 123 of saying that I love your channel Hey Kryzzp,
Try these two 2 settings in the graphics.
1. Environmental Texture Quality
2. Environmental Geometry Quality.
These 2 are most probably set to high change it to extreme and there is no negative impact in the game and its gonna get rid of those black spots but if you want to wait until developers fix this problem then no problem, awesome video as usual!
(In FH5). And thank you for taking my request.
Day 129 of finding who asked, wish me luck!

Good timing. My 1080 TI’s coming in today
Youre the most entertaining Benchmarker ive ever seen! Thanks for the content
Glad you think so! Thanks for watching 😁
1080Ti is the true GOAT, will never see a card like it again. Nvidia consider it a mistake it has lasted so well!
"oh my god i think i found jack" "wait its you" "god damm bastard"
Hi Kryzzp! Loved the video
Really fab content👏 lots of luv frm India...
Your amazing bro do a nother 3080 ti video on some scary games
The Ray Tracing is probably best used in lower paced games where you don't care about FPS as much. Shadow of the Tomb Raider / Hellblade those sorts of immersive games
At 4:25 I was surprised you didn’t notice those temps.
He has capped temps to 69
I’ve been watching your videos from last 3 days continuously and I understand a lot of things about graphic card and its makes me take a good decision which card should I buy
Just subscribed today. I am watching your videos for a long time and haven't been subscribed now I subscribe because you earned my respect.
The good ole 1080Ti! One of the best price to performance GPUs ever made, NV won't make that mistake again unfortunately....
I think you should test metro more often i love that game and its still demanding title actually you can test the enchanted version with the rtx cards like rtx 3050 will be interesting
Nice vid bro ❤
Thanks mate 😃
Nice bro 😏😏 best benchmark
This card is meant to survive 😌
Thanks!!
@@zWORMzGaming 🥰🥰 Thanks bro
That GPU actually deserves to be called "A Titan"
Titan isn't for gaming
More like "what the Titan-class GPUs should have been"
as always you do good job!!i support you Algeria!!i like this chanel more more!!have nice weekend
Love ❤️ your videos 😊
Hehe :) I recently tested this, it actually beats the RX 6500 XT in lots of games, but it can't run ray-tracing in as many games.
I think it's pretty obvious that a 1080ti would have a clear advantage over a 6500XT lol
i mean yeah, the 6500xt is a joke of a card
@@quackinand4499 The 6500 XT can actually pull ahead if the game is very, very easy to run otherwise.

Ampere > Turing > Rdna2
@@niebuhr6197 want to see the actual individual cards in order of RT performance
AMD is only one generation behind.
My RX 6900XT gets just better RT than the RTX 2080 Ti.
Another banger of a vid
When Ti actually meant something...
on god bro 1080 ti had a huge performance increase compared to the 1080.
Yup
Nowadays it just gives you 5 more frames but the difference between the gtx 1080 and the Ti is HUGE
That Pascal could work with RT effects was known before it was incorporated into games and drivers. However, the GTX 1080Ti does not have specialized units that could increase its Raytracing performance. Lowering the resolution or turning on fsr will not do much when the scene is more complex. Moreover, Cyberpunk is a good example that even RTXs can be too weak to kneel without DLSS enabled
love ur video
I really expect upcoming Ti will become another legendary GPU for years. 3080Ti isn't too impressive i think. It's good for sure but we need another monstrous flagship which is 50% faster than 3090Ti at 4K with the same or less power consumption. Amen!
I consider the 3080Ti to be incredible, the upcoming 4080 will be the one spoken of in the prophecies...
Damn it AMD, just fix your damn drivers already.
Awesome and funny content keep it up(btw i have a lap worse than ur pc with Intel hd 2000)
Thanks mate!
What are the specs?
Only thing i can notice is
Good lord battlefield 5's graphics have aged amazingly
As a Norwegian, I approve of the shirt.
Thanks for the nice VID... again! :D
Maybe interessting: RTX 2080 RTX ON vs 1080ti RTX ON
Stay healthy!
Gtx1080ti....the real MVP of the GPU wars.
My brother gave me his Aorus 1080ti 11gb when my 1660 super failed, and im very stoked to see how it runs on rdr2.
The GTX 1080ti still got some Muscle to show yet I'm honestly impressed 🗿
first ! btw it's a shame that the 1080 dosen't support dlss , it would made it compet again the 3000 series in my opinion.
Yeah for sure!
A powerful graphics card from 2017.
Very powerful indeed :)
Great video!
Yup still have my 1080Ti , and going strong !
Battlefield V with RT is just like real life level of quality . 1080ti Rt Worth it !!!!!
people where i live still want around 1k for a 1080 ti even though a 3060 is a better buy they think that it is a mythical gpu capable of untold wonders
would u buy a new gpu or a gpu that released 6 years ago?
@@legendaryhumper if the price is right im open for either but id prefer a new gpu im building a pc for someone who wont have the first clue how to troubleshoot it if anything goes wrong or the money to replace parts with no warrantee
its true but new stocks of gtx 1080ti are not available
156 dollars a year so far since I purchased the 1080 Ti strix oc gpu in 2017. I think some people spend more money than I have upgrading less powerful gpu's to something better within those 5 years. Like a 1060 to a 3060 Ti.
Gaming ain't that expensive as a hobby. Being a car person is much more expensive... A track day costs hundrets for a few hours.
I played Metro Exodus Raytracing on GTX1070 at a PS3Pro res of 480p with High Details, looks like a post processed heavy PS3 game with 480p cinematic visuals at 25-35fps.
A GTX 1060 stays over 50 fps at 1080p ultra preset(RT off). Check benchmarks. I don't know what's happening with your pc there.
@@dhaumyagango1076 WITH RT Enabled, I should have clarified, sorry to confuse, fixed post.
4:43 this line keeps me going with my GTX card
This card clearly aged like a fine wine when it comes to playing with no raytracing whatsoever. Wish AMD's were the same, sadly not the case with the RX Vega series just coming short.
Bro plz test Hitman games on your channel
I recommend using DXVK, becuse this program forces the game and the driver to run the game with vulkan api. This can help with low fps, especially in ac origins(at least for me) from stuttery 45 fps to smooth 75 fps! I really recommend this! But some games doesn't want to start with it for example gta 5(says no directx 10 or 11 graphics card found)
Always do a benchmark on both DX11 and DXVK, if one is better than another, Use that.
isnt dxvk only for linux? (yes im a linux gamer)
@@rayanking4773 It works on Windows too.
@@Funnky Yo thats actually nice thanks
I'm so mad, I was bidding on a titan XP yesterday and it sold for 260€, I forgot to keep bidding on it because I was playing cards with my friends 🙃
wish i had a decent entry gpu just to play warzone, while i dot have a good enought pc to play it its just the gpu. i am saving for one but it sure is gonna take a while but ill get there soon, but i just want those smooth gameplay, ive just been stuck on the 20s to 30s but good content as always the best tech content!!
Last upgrade of Cyberpunk with FSR3 make it possible Raytraced 60 fps on a 1080 Ti !!!
Careful only the "traytraced lightning" is working, others (shadow, reflexions) are broken and must be unchecked
But the visual enhancement is crazy
Lauch game with option "-gpuFlag forceRayTracing"
Just being able to run these newest games at 1080p over 60 is awsome playing Witcher 3 ultra with hair works at 8 I’m getting 95 to 120 fps are used to be really high on high resolution I don’t know man I just love my games over 60fps feel so nice
even today the GTX 1080 TI still a name that when you hear it, you think about power, it is legendary, the one thing that makes me sad is that gpu prices here were i live (brazil) still expensive as fuck, for a RTX 3050 (i bought one) you pay 336 dollars! and that was "cheap", and game studios today focus on anything else than optmizing their games, most of older titles (2017 and older) looks amazing and runs pretty well even on older gpus, most of games today, even in a considerablely powerfull gpu, will run like crap (ex: cyberpunk runs like crap on anything else than an gtx 1070) if you dont use upscalers (dlss or fsr 2.0 / fsr 1.0)
I loved this card. Only card I loved more was my GTX 1070 G1 Gaming... That thing ran way above 2200Mhz core clocks :O GTX 1080 Ti was also better than my RTX 3080, which has great performance and all but it's just not the same fun to overclock...
Rtx 6000 is here
Aka the gtx 1080 ti
How? Where? What? 🤣
It was a big surprise when I saw 150 fps in Metro Exodus on this card
Bcuz it was a 4K card back in it's glory day
Kryzzp with this video you showed of the gtx 1080 ti experimenting with rtx traces, it will still be possible to buy this graphics card even in 2022 until 2023.
I'm one of those people that has RT on whenever it's an option. Doesn't matter the type of game. But I'm fortunate enough to have a powerful enough PC for it, so I wanna get the most out of it while I can.
In metro exodus the RT is global illumination not reflections so it will be more intensive in the day time!
Ahhhh thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind when I test it in other videos :)
I also have a titan Xp and was wondering how it'd go. Thanks! I love this card.
Oh yes!! RTX 1080Tie
gtx 1080 ti, more like rtx 1080 ti big fan
Hi bro thanks for sharing this cool video
Between this and rtx 3060 ti witch one do you prefer?
Great video I wonder if you can test it with doom with Ray tracing
You really need dedicated ray-tracing cores if you want to have ray-tracing run well in almost any game. If even the mighty GTX 1080 TI struggles to deliver even at 1080p, I don't know why some were begging for the ray tracing option for non-RT GPUs on both Nvidia's and AMD's side. The option is nice I suppose. But it's not a very wise option!
Gen 3 DLSS and ray tracing on the 1080ti could make it viable but no card below it should be enabled for ray tracing
Probably for screenshots or they are fine playing with 30-40 FPS.
I knew you would do this 😏
😁
The GTX series was never meant for ray tracing. It's software RT rendering just is not fast enough compared to hardware based in the RTX series. I tried it myself on my GTX 1660 and the framerate and image quality dropped drastically.
G'day Kryzzp,
I would say even with the performance drop to cinematic at least in these games that work with 1000/1600 GPUs you can test if you get anything from RT-ON, then if you are unsure whether RT-ON is for you it will give you a guide if RTX is worth it over a RX when getting a new GPU.
Ah the good 'ol days when everyone thought the 1080 Ti was a huge card 😂
I wish you would include max fan speed tests in your videos since allot of people will just max the fan speed out and throw a headset on like I do. I know it would make the videos a little longer but it would give a little more information to everybody. I know allot of people use speakers and won't Max the fan curve out but allot of people including myself just Max the fan curve out and throw their headset on.
Why? 😂
You don't need to do that mate, these GPUs run just fine on stock fan speeds!
SWEET! I have this game 6:48 but a GTX 1080 (NOT Titan!) Gonna test ray-tracing on my non-RTX rig!😖
16:07 Watch_Dogs 2 has ray-tracing??? Gotta test it out now!! 😃
