Vashtorr as black-market weapons dealer I would love to paint And make a cool diorama of him At his soul forge but my arthritis Would stop me from painting because I'd be dropping my paintbrush 🙁 but So love there dedication to the forge

edit: uuh yes i remember reading about the forge of souls and soul grinders demons and how they re created . i start to like him a lot i hope we get more of Vashtorr The Arkifan lets hope his story doesnt end the same way they did the Eldar "new lore"

Any specific source for the books? Cause I looked for them a lot, and I only found the first one on Abaddon sans the lore (which is what I actually needed).

Vashtorr is not a Chaos God. He is an Exalted Greater Deamon of Hashut.
Initially I was skeptical of the necessity for this creation of newer lore. But, then I began to consider...that Vashtoor forms a role similar to that of Hashut in the world of Fantasy. In the absence of a far-future, space-Dawi Zharr, thankfully, another entity other than elusive Malal representing a 'lower' Chaos body striving to become a fifth God within the Immaterium is fully feasible to be fused with the bull-like Father of Darkness. Immaterium, or...made “in China”, you say, Narrator? That sounds too realistic. A hellish Forge, daemon engines, plus ongoing mental and visual imagery of lava keep reinforcing that Hashut-Vashtorr impression...
Vashtorr's design is daemonically-cool and the nebulous origins to this Chaotic being do intrigue. This lore is much more comprehensively detailed, as compared with the Chaos Dwarfs' deity, at least so immediately upon introduction of the Arkifane. The comparison is more akin to station or status of “anti-Order”, such as I'm also considering the Great Horned Rat and the ambiguous power(s) of darkness - evil Morr? - which is the reason for the undead in WH Fantasy. An “Arkifane” is another grimdark-wonderfully spooky title, too. The inventor of Hell - a true enemy to the anti-innovation Imperium of the 41st/42nd millenium. Thank you for delivering unto us this further evil of the first official demigod within, IF not 'of', the Warp, Narrator. Until this specter of the Forge next fades back into realspace, have an awesome and healthy week...the Emperor protects.
New lore's gotta come somehow, though.
An evil omnisia wasn't needed
Emperor in the warp, legion of the damned, the Sanguinar, chaos god of the greater good, the evil machine god... humans are giving life to gods in the immaterium like giving away candy in the Halloween... Aeldari can't even hold a candle to us these day 40000 years later...

I have little love for most the new lore, but Vashtorr is a nice villain.
I like the idea that most all demon engines and such things that the other chaos gods send forth in their armies are actually pawns of Vashtorr

@@GrimDarkNarrator The ancestor core is all by itself on a dead planet. stripped by the Tyranid's. I think it might leave with Vashtorr.
I'm nearly finished reading Lords of Mars and Vashtorr makes an interesting contrast to entity that shows up in that 🤔

Not clear to me is it a minor God or some Greater Daemon of Chaos Undivided. Power it gained trough Horus Heresy and scrapcode should put it as minor deity. (I dont have the new books, at least yet)

Pleasure so intense and unyielding that it becomes more painful than fire. Once your nerves are fried out you start the self mutilation in an attempt to feel any sensation, soon the only way to elicit any feeling is to inflict greater and greater "sensations" on others........not exactly never ending pleasure and happiness
