I have to say you are the first native beekeeper that has put out a vid discussing this issue , this is the most important part of keeping your native bees alive , when ever I part with one of my nests , this is the first thing I stress , never have them out in the midday sun , NEVER , and actually it doesn't matter weather you have thin walled hive or even some thing as thick as 50 mil, that sun will cook them alive and always paint then in a light colour , this will help reflect the heat , and how you position the entrance is to face them to where the bees have the most unrestricted flight path , I too have kept honey bees but I started keeping these little fellows over twenty years ago and believe that we haven't even scratched the surface of these beautiful little bees potential . Good video !!!
