IT WORKS!!!!! I had 2 batteries which showed "Battery ERR" on my controller. It did not matter what the % of charge was.....I tried several levels. The technique shared in this video worked, and it is the FIRST and ONLY post I have been able to find which actually worked....without having to cut into the battery, etc. GREAT JOB!!!
I just got this error yesterday. Tried discharging the battery by turning the drone on and leaving it on the table. I checked it at maybe 40-50% and the error message was gone. Hmmmm…. I thought I’d “fixed” the issue so I chewed it up again and got the same error message. Tried your trick and got the drone to start up in spite of the error. You may have saved me the cost of a new battery! I think I’ll still play it safe with this one and only use it close to me and to the ground, just in case.
This actually worked. Stupid balance cell error. The batteries seem to be fine. They charge and fly, I wish DJI would not make such a big deal of cell voltage variance or find out why and fix the balancing issue. They would prefer we spend another $100...
Hi. I just tried discharging the battery 20% and then tried this method shown in the video. The battery never showed battery error again. :) So id say it works at least for minor issues. Sometimes not using battery changes amp and volt to abnormal levels, I think maybe this corrects it. Anyhow, if shown again, the error, land inmediately.
Liked and subbed. You may have just saved me £500. Not tried it yet but 5 of my batteries are playing up and I think this fix will work. Seems like the best option that I have seen yet! Have a great day.
Du er saa flink! My wife is Norsk. I was able to start the drone and the 3rd (problematic) cell is now close enough to the others that the error does not appear. Thank you! No one knows at this point if the cell is damaged or the BMS is crappy. Will recharge slowly and see if BMS can balance the pack.
When i do it the propellers spins for a sec and stops immediately and comes up battery error. I cant do take it off immediately when it says atti mode it needs to comes up gps mode and then the propelers starts spinning and it stops
WORKED GREAT !!!! im wondering tho is its safe im scared of its sudendly shutting down or idk can anyone verify its gonna fly okay?? for example if i go far is any chache its gona crash to the sea for example?
i just made a flight everything worked fine !!! if one day its show up any error or just goes down the ocean i will let you know btw kristian after this trick its works good? had it shown this error again?
It works for me, but not every time. After Mavic 1 crashes, I got a battery signal error on all 3 batteries. I replaced the power supply board, now sometimes it reads the information, sometimes it doesn't. The drone flies, but it happens that it loses information during the flight. What else can he try?
Hi Anthony! No, it doesn't fix the battery but you will be able to fly with the "Battery Error". Glad I could help you. Have a nice day! Best Regards Kristian
Same here! I was going to open the battery to balance each cell but it is not a very good idea. These batteries contain so much energy that it is very dangerous to tamper with them. Thank you for watching!
I have noticed my battery is well balanced at around this range 12-46%. In this range i can fly drone normally but anything above or below the error is popping up due to the misbalance of cell-2
Has your drone ever crashed due to this because my batteries are less than a day old and I am not able to replace it right now. I want to know if this method is safe.

"The first thing you need to do" and let me continue on from here for you: is to land your drone and not take off!! That error is there for a REASON! It means one of you battery cells has much lower voltage than the rest of them, meaning, if it gives in flight, it will sag the voltage of your entire battery and the drone will CRASH. It happens because you should never be driving a lipo below 3.7volts/cell when landed. Anything below that and you are doing physical damage. You've been warned

In my case the battery is quite balanced from 12-52% range. I’m sure the cell is broken that’s why it cannot keep up with the other cells.
Very interesting indeed 🔥
