Honestly? It's better in some ways. I love both, but Indy has some fantastic racing and great variety in tracks. Not the high dollar production of F1, but it has charm.
try and see it as just another motorsport. not f1 OR indycar. f1 AND indycar. i love both, especially the 500.

Why doesnt INDY just delete the lap they fouled on instead of the best one like some sort of participation award leveler?
Opens the door for someone to "oops" into a corner and sabotage others laps especially if they're P1 at the time
