Hi Grace! Regarding your idea to have Costco cake (which I love), a lot of brides actually do this. You get like a small tiered cake for you to cut, the pretty decorated one, and then you have the venue cut up the sheet cake in the back. I saved a lot by doing this!
For my wedding last July I had a two tier cute cake then did Costco lemon cheesecake, Costco fudge cake and Costco red velvet it went down a storm everyone had something they liked and it was so much cheaper

I actually had Costco sheet cake at my wedding! We had a smaller, fancier cake that my husband and I cut for the cake cutting and then we just fed everyone the Costco cake sliced. Super delicious and very cost effective which was great because we were on a budget.
They were not Welches but Kelloggs! We used to get a box that was 3 flavor packs from Costco every time. The flavors were All strawberry, a mixed berry and all Cherry. The were called FruitySnacks by Kelloggs! They've since updated the packaging and I believe the snacks dont taste the same either
I giggled so much at your reaction to the Parmesan and blueberry combo. You could use the Parmesan in a garlic, olive oil and Parmesan pasta dish. There are tons of good recipes out there.

Last month i went to Canada for holiday and i went to costco for the first time. We got kirkland dark chocolate covered mangoes and it was literally the best thing ever. I had to go back to buy like 5 packs to take home with me

I love Costco!!! I worked for Costco travel at the HQ in Issaquah, Washington. The best company I ever worked for. The "Kirkland" brand name comes from the city just down the freeway from where I live. So many good things. Half my wardrobe is from Costco!! LOL!!! And $1.50 for a hot dog and a soda?? Yes, please!!! And we love the wide parking spaces, too - when we can find a spot! 😆 I love that samples are slowly making their way back, too. 👍

I worked in the bakery of a US grocery chain called HEB (IYKYK) and got requests for ALL KINDS of things to be written on a cake. There weren't any limits really unless you didn't feel comfortable doing it and profanity was frowned upon but not technically "illegal". This was in 1999 so I imagine that now there are actually guidelines or rules at most companies because you can quickly tag them via social media. And we all know how that goes.
I can't believe that UK Costco still has the lentil chips!! I'm in the US and my Costcos never carry them anymore. That's the kicker about Costco though. You may fall in love with an item they carry once or a few times and then it never comes around again! I think the lentil chips were around for almost a year at my Costcos and then they disappeared for good.

As a former cake decorator I can attest people get pretty normal things written on cakes, it’s all the weird name spellings that throw you off. I specifically recall one time writing Happy Birthday Sinamin.
My dad and stepmum no joke had costco sheet cakes at their wedding! Instead of spending loads on cake they got a personalised topper made (with a nod to their pets) that they keep in their house :)
Man I’m just crying that we can’t get birthday cakes like that. Our selection is awesome but I just want to try a cake like that once. Also I’m a popcorn lover, very specific with how it tastes. And the popcorn you can get in the supermarket is just not it. There’s not one popcorn that looks and tastes like cinema popcorn. I was once in London and that was the only time I got supermarket popcorn that actually tasted like it could be from the cinema and now I’m pressed seeing you holding such a large packs of popcorn that kinda looks like it. The next time I’m in the uk these are 2 of the things I will be trying!!

You can freeze the parmesan if you don't eat it all. Or grate it and put in in a baggy in the freezer and use as needed.
