Actually, this game has NOT received its Quest 3 patch for visuals...... you should do this after Riven is patched to demonstrate the Quest 3 visuals. What you see is quest 2 footage running on Quest 3
For a quest game it is a very good graphics.
no. for a quest 1 game maybe. I've been playing it on quest 3 and it looks like a PS2 game.
nothing compared to games like Red Matter 2 which look a lot better.
The bottom one is what it looks like in my Pimax crystal.
It takes a i5 13600k and a rtx 4080 to run good with some effects turned down.
I'm surprised they got it running on Quest 2 at all. My old PC couldn't handle it.

It’s a little ironic that the quest 3 graphics are quite a lot worse than the 27 years ago graphics on my Apple Quadra 630

its a shame they let their support for the Quest 2 hold the visuals back for the Quest 3
There has been a reply from the creators about this issue. They say an update will be coming out for the Quest 3 textures. I read this for myself on the early game reviews at Quest and the reply's about this from the creators. I hope so.
@@TheLakotariver I really hope so. its not only the textures, its also the shading and most of the geometry that make this game look like a PS2 game.
If you compare it to something like Hubris or Red Matter 2, they look way better.
They should have ditched the quest version altogether, some of the advanced features of ue5 were cut from game to make it work on quest.
If they were paintings PC is oil paint, Quest is watercolour. 😊
I dont get why the water in quest looks so terrible. Myst on quest had good looking water. Why is there jello in Riven?
Agreed. There's lower graphics settings and then there is just flat out negligence. This seems like the latter.
@@Jayy997 Cyan better have a quest 3 upgrade that fixes this. Everything else in the trailer looks acceptable given the hardware, but that water is just flat out horrible.
The moving water looks pretty good, it's mainly just the still water. The color is this weird blue, plus, it's opaque and lacking any sort of reflections. At least the moving water has some rough cubemaps. Maybe they could add some more reflections by either better cubemaps or some mirrored simplified geometry.
Eh, cordless headsets seem to have hardware limitations.
Because Quest 2 can’t handle it. Myst had much simpler geometry. It is amazing for a quest game. 95% of quest 2/3 games have bad cartoonish graphics. So it is not a big issue after all.
Wow the VR version looks awful in comparison
because it's Meta Quest specs is tad better than Nintendo Switch, while PC VR will looking like the PC Game unless you have a potato PC.
@@yasunakaikumi that only applies to Quest 1, but the game is for Quest 2 and up.
If you compare it to something Red Matter 2 or Hubris the game looks trash awful like a PS2 game.
