Yeah I was thinking they might have to add some kind of axle-wrap mitigation (assuming that's what you're talking about), but maybe the torque won't be so bad?
@@Shane_O.5158 “Tramp bars” I learned a new word today… are they the same thing as traction bars? They seem to be similar at least after some brief googling…

My first suggestion: VW Corrado G60 front brakes. They're the same 4x100 bolt pattern, but are 11" ventilated disks, instead of 9" solid. You need the rotors, calipers, and carriers. In order to fit all that on your early hub carriers you'll need adapters from Momentum Motorparts. You'll also need to upgrade to a 22mm, or larger, master cylinder. Again, Momentum has this, but others do as well. My other suggestion, but one that is probably waaaay out of your budget, would be the IRS and subframe out of a Mustang. Solid mount the center section, solid mount your engine, install driveshaft and then forget about it.

However you set that drive shaft up to the busa trans , there has to be a slip yoke in there , if any thrust loads (giggity) Push or pull on that trans output then youll have aluminum soup oil from the gear sets eating into the cases. An independent irs suspension and differential would have worked very well for this setup something like a Mazda miata rear setup then a rubber coupling from the bike motor to the diff. Can't wait to see this project done👍👍👍
This looks like it’s going to turn out way better than it should. One question that I actually have a little personal experience of, so not afraid to ask it. It looks like you’re mounting the Hayabusa rigidly to the frame. That’s going to make it loud and nasty in the cab and not in a way you’ll get used to. I’ve tried rigid mounts and the noise and vibration was incredible and it came in waves. It was almost bearable at some rpms and it made 4” thick wall box behave like spring steel at others. The resonance made it look and feel like the box was bending to impossible extents and the volume was unbearable. And I didn’t have a roof or windows! Have you a plan to deal with this, or have you done some clever mathematical stuff and worked out where the resonant frequencies will be and corrected for them? Or is there a hidden flexible mount somewhere that I couldn’t see, to absorb the vibes?
we built a subaru brat with a 2004 triumph speed triple motor,in the tray, we welded a spacer and a sprocket on to the drive shaft of the motorbike and welded a small chain socket, to the rear diff drive plate, and had it chain driven with the motorbike motor sitting above the diff drive plate, worked good

I'll be really interested to find out how you sync the front wheels to the back. Maybe a speed sensor on each back wheel, and a sensor to know the steering pitch to calculate the expected speed of each front wheel. It might be a built in function if the (EV) controller was designed for 4WD with separate front and rear motors.
i know that a mercedes tuner (brabus) made a smart with hubmotors on the front wheels and the normal engine in the back , think they just operate the electrics off the same trottle that operates the gasmotor , the wheel speed will be the same as the rearwheels but the torq varries depending on the efficiancy at a certain wheelspeed not so mush programming , theres no thechnical wizzardy that reads the wheelspeed trottle position or delivered power from either end just one drive being held back a bit more than the other and working a bit harder , it kind of self levels , unless one of the two drive is turning the wheels in reverse there should be any spinning wheels if there is they could do some sort of traction controll / abs system in case one set of wheels breaks loose

Which will happen first: Tesla Cybertruck actually existing, or Stevon returning after the legal mess is cleared up? I suspect the order will be: Cybertruck, Steven, Roadster, Demise of humanity, Tesla Full Self Driving.
Rich, why not use a BMW independent axle diff in the rear? You split the diff case, remove the pinion gear and ring gear, mount a sprocket to the area where the ring gear came off. Voila, chain driven diff. Then you dont have all this worry about drive shafts and angles, and you can mount your engine correctly so your gear shift will be easily adaptable.
I know everyone is wondering about a certain missing element from the channel, but I think the real question is how did you decide how far up to apply the Tiege Hanley?
I asked the same thing last vid. My guess would be to leave the original VW trans in 4th or 5th, since it's got so much EV torque, and just shift the bikes transmission.
@@End3r_Wiggin i don't think that will work, theoretically it will always be either spinning or skidding on one end... obviously for small differences and low speeds not that big of a deal but if it does happen to be enough more than negligible then it will either be unstable or just wear out stuff crazy fast or both

All things considered, the paddle shift would be the simplest way to run that transmission in that configuration anyways. You may even be able to use a large amount of parts from a salvage vehicle and build the section that runs the trans. As long as that has intergraded pressure switches for up down then sinking with would something should be not to hard either, depending.

My first car was a 1978 MG Midget, I love the idea. Except maybe an LS motor or rotary. LOL..... I stuffed 3 people and 3 surfboards in my car every weekend to go surfing in my car every weekend to go to the beach in San Diego! Would love to see a modified MG Midget!!!!!!!!!!! Love the content , keep it up!!!! I have pics of my midget if interested.
Cybertruck-Stevon is truly missing!
replay 3:45 at slow speed and pause!
Pretty good video, shame it didnt have enough cutting and grinding
Yep. . . It needed a few more *sparks* too.
Stevon for President!
I know everyone is wondering about a certain missing element from the channel, but I think the real question is how did you decide how far up to apply the Tiege Hanley?
i am a volkswagen guy and this build is interesting... good content
vid #2 of wondering about the different front and rear gear ratios in every gear
I asked the same thing last vid. My guess would be to leave the original VW trans in 4th or 5th, since it's got so much EV torque, and just shift the bikes transmission.
@@End3r_Wiggin i don't think that will work, theoretically it will always be either spinning or skidding on one end... obviously for small differences and low speeds not that big of a deal but if it does happen to be enough more than negligible then it will either be unstable or just wear out stuff crazy fast or both
We havent forgotten you Stevon!
I know I'm not the only one who was expecting "we know Stephen has been missing, here's the update.."
steveon was high on delta 9 thc gummies at the time of the wreck
and steveon is suing rich for the hospital bills and loss of work
so rich cannot say anything about an open investigation and court affairs
were is this info coming from?
@@feelinghealingfrequences7179
@@feelinghealingfrequences7179 what?? Really??

Look, @3:45! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Stevonman!
Great video! Steve-on on the Cyber-quad and a laser gun. Just needed a "Team America! F**k Yeah!" above it! The calendar shot had me laughing! All that aside, great work on the truck. This will be amazing.
Flamethrower
how you gonna turn his absence into an ad? lmfao
I know right? I get trolling people sometimes but that was kind of a dick move...
Bought a VW truck new in 82, kept it in the family for 25 years or so. Always dreamt of a little more power. Turbo Busa power ya sure. Nice to see you getting some decent tools. Be safe.

Mini trucks do the same thing to the bed along with 4 link suspensions in order to drop them down to the ground. I did this with a 93 dodge Dakota.
love what your doing, i to am a mid engine builder , i have built a mid engine 454 C10 , using an ACE CHAMPION v- drive and turned the diff facing backwards , click the little picture on the left here a time or two to check it out ,or check it out on you tube ---- c10 mid engine 454 ----- great idea guys, good luck.
Hope Stevon is okay. Channel is not the same without him
Use as ❤ for Stevon! 🎉
I was just about so say...what a huge amount of work was completed... Great job...stay safe!
