As an artist, head and shoulder above many pop and rap singers who are popular and sell millions of records but vacuous- Tamils all around the world can be proud and should be proud of her.
So glad she got to speak a little on the topic. I know it's a heavy topic for her talk about especially on a platform but I'm glad she's getting acknowledged for her work
I wish I could just snap my fingers and get front row to everywhere this woman is ! Listening and following are great tools but just not enough want to see her live! The only female singer rapper I’ve expressed this much interest in ever and for obvious reasons she’s just awesome! 💃🏽🔦🥇🥂😍
I LOVE M.I.A SO MUCH SHE IS THE BEST STRONGEST FEMALE ANYTHING, You can see she was holding back tears the whole time and she was nervouse but ANYTHING she does is amazing and gracefull & beautifull in such a profound wayyy!!! Wow. Until the age of 11, she could speak ONLY Tamil and very little English. And now she has completely forgotten Tamil (whatever she tried to say in Tamil was so awfully pronounced, it might as well be French). Didn't know you could forget a language so quick?
@@nitharsanam630 Yes she was born in London but she moved to Sri Lanka when she was six months old. Didn't she come back to London a few weeks short of her 11th birthday?
she actually speaks Tamil. Watched a doccie and there was scenes of her shooting a music video in Pondicherry, and she was speaking to the crew in Tamil. btw I don't speak Tamil myself cause im Gujurati lol and she is crying cause of the memories she has being a child in Sri Lanka, in the midst of the Ethnic cleansing of Tamils by the Sri Lankan govt...terrible civil war

She was born and spend her childhood in London, but briefly lived in Sri Lanka, where she picked up some Tamil.

@@maxineespinoza7022 You have offended the honor of English. How dare you! I CHALLENGE YOU TO A FIGHT. Will you fight or are you a coward?
Why is she crying? And does she speak Tamil?
She is a Tamilan
