I helped my uncle replace a broken cast iron sewer pipe. It leaked for a solid week before the tenants noticed the smell. Crawled through 20 feet of the foulest smelling water and dirt. The dirt had giant red worm in it too. The Tyvek suit did nothing because the water seeped right through it. We put down some plywood to lay on top and did our thing. Plumbers are heroes!

@@ChuckBarron how much does this service usually run? We're in california and just hired a company to perform this job, along with a pex repipe (1200sq.ft. / 2 bath/kitchen) and quoted my father $12k and some change. They said 1 day but now over a week, they cut our CCTV lines in the process, and now water heater does not produce hot water. They promised increase in water pressure but no notice in pressure. Seems like a headache. Are we being overcharged? Thanks.

since 1996...this was good stuff for me, love your demeanor, well executed, the wires scared me alot, they say never dive alone, so i wouldnt go under a house w/o your back up team for real ...triage is where you decide what gets immediate attention so when you have multiple issues one must decide what issue will be better served first and in this case the water leak, a hose clamp(s) a pop can/ sheet metal makes for a great temp fix (really) anyway great to see the Jersey gang workin it as only they can remember every day is love your plumber day...sUrF"s Up

I just found your video because unfortunately I have a majorally bad situation going on in my crawl space. We live in a 60 year old home and have a SWAMP down in our crawlspace. The pipes are leaking (they are old lead pipes) looks like Niagra falls down there. Mushroom mold of all sorts of fun. Complete hazmat as one guy put it. Apparently the person that wants to "fix all this" has said we need to completely gut both the kitchen and the bathroom to GET to the pipes as "no one" would want to go "down in that mess" ... After watching your video it sure seems like YOU would go down in that mess ! I have no idea what I'm looking at price wise but according to the guy we are looking at substantial money ... So does that mean $5k, $10k, $15k, $20k, $25k etc .... Do you have any idea ??

Why do you use a clampette instead of fixing it the right way ? Are you just going to put clamps every time there’s a leak on that pipe ? Do it right the first time and you wouldn’t have to go down there and work in all that smelly sand and whatever else is down there. If it works for you, who am I to judge ? I would fix it the right way and be done with it.
