Kitchen installation in the guest apartment @ Our Passion Project
will the worktop fit ?
Finishing off the kitchen at the guest apartment
From adding the sink , hot plate to extractor fan without forgetting the tailing ....
When you are planning 1 kitchen it is very hard but when It is 3 kitchens it is even harder ...
Edd designed the kitchens and he chose some beautiful worktop but sometimes not all goes to plan ...
The guest apartment kitchen was meant to be an easy one to get ready however with all the setbacks it seems it has so far been the trickiest one
6 years ago there was just overgrown grass where this apartment was
Today there is this cosy guest apartment
So much progress on this vlog watch us finish off the 2nd kitchen at our passion project :)

The tiles are great. With the few left over tiles you could back them with felt or cork so that they can be used on counter tops or window sills as pot stands.
Great idea!
@@BordeauxLife Same with the chunk of wood that came out of the sink hole...cutting board!
And the piece from the induction top... another cutting board 😊
I just noticed your comment. I had the same idea.
you could use those "cutting boards" for outdoor kitchen😀
I don’t know how you keep going Ed. I sense the enthusiasm has gone from this project a long time ago and that you just want to get it over with. We know you’re a skilled worker but you seem to have had to sacrifice your back, family and free time time for such a long time.
I would have wanted the sink in front of the window for esthetics and I like to look outside to watch the birds. I would have had more space between the cooktop and the sink since you have room for work surface between them. Just me being picky and loving a good amount of work space in the kitchen!
It looks great. I think I may have cut those feet down to accommodate the windows and just put skirting board around it on the bottom to keep dirt from under it. We do not have space under our counters here in the USA. It's always finished solid. I would obsess about how clean it was underneath. LOL
I know. I’d be upside down on the kitchen floor looking for dog treats half my time.
We have kickboards in NZ never seen a gap, but the kitchen still looks amazing
Ditto here in Canada. Solid to floor. The cat toys would be insane under there!
I love the way they look at each other. Anyone would be blessed to have these two as friends.
You both are a real team and so cute together. Be careful, Ed, as your health is so Important. ❤
New kitchen looks great! Would have solved the distance between the cooktop and sink by just turning the sink around so that the drain board would be on the right. With the drainer on the left and the placement of the tap you’ve brought the water source closer to the stovetop which is what the law is trying to prevent. Also the drainer on the right would be more convenient for right handed folks. No prejudice here as I’m left handed myself. If you were concerned about the drainer being visible from outside the window this could’ve been easily solved with a few plants on the sill and watering them with the sprayer would’ve been a piece of cake. I know I’m being very picky but having the tap closer to the stove with a hand held sprayer and drainer seems a bit more dangerous than the law intends especially with the addition of the metal strip so close to both. Also there’s such limited workspace between the stove and sink, a disadvantage. But it does look absolutely gorgeous though!

I wish the sink hole was farther forward, as it is 6 inches back from the edge.
Your designs look unique and personal. Very nice end result. Being a right handed lady I would also have chosen the sprayer to be on the right, but hey, we all work differently. Make your space work for you, that’s what is important!
Ed, please take a bow - what a great job. You two are getting so much done! Best wishes.
*Overjoyed to see a sink being fitted for us left handed people.*
Edd is very clever and can do anything! Looks super great!
Super hero Ed to the rescue!
Great job! Ed is a jack of all trades, such skills!
The wooden countertops are a bold choice. That is what poor people had when I was young, yellow pine, but it was always a mess, wet and yucky, stickie. But your wooden tops look beautiful !!! Everything you do to the house is so gorgeous.
They aren’t pine but they certainly need a bit of upkeep to keep them looking tip top.
Having plugs up high is good if your the one going to live there but if it’s for Air B&B/rent then lower down is better for people such as me that are vertically challenged. It’s also better for people that are disabled
Your kitchen is coming along. It looks very nice. I hope you feel better Ed.
The kitchen looks very bright and fresh. Well done
Bravo so impressed. Always perfect. You two have exquisite taste in design. And Ed is a highly skilled craftsman.
You could build support frames to replace the feet on the cabinets that would give you the correct height. That way the counter top could be level with the window sill and the windows could open properly. It looks odd having the counter top higher than the window sill. Support frames would have the added benefit of closing in the bottom of the cabinets. Cleaning under those cabinets will be a real pain as they will collect all manner of dust and debris.
Not to mention the horrendous layout of the appliances. I adore these two- but that aberration should be ripped out & properly done.
@@aliciabaylina6275 The dishwasher is to the left of the sink. Crazy. Next to the hob- 😳- someone forgot the triangle- I loved the components- the composition could’ve been way better. Amateurish- needed professional help with this. There are folks who specialize in spaces like this that could have made it as fabulous as the rest of the house - using those same materials
Way To Go !!! Wonderful Anna and Ed. Congrats!
Amazing you two are the best team loving the vlog can't wait for the gates ✨️
❤️it all!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Beautiful kitchen Edd and Anna!!!
love to see you both getting more and more comfortable being yourselves in your vlogs letting your humour and personalities come out more.
Me being picky sorry, but I would have had a sink with the draining board on the right side away from the cooking hob. Aesthetically more pleasing plus the wet area is more removed from the cooking area.
Lol...& Billy would know exactly how far apart they should be. Crack On!! Lol 😆 🤣 Those tiles...are Great! 👍 👌
That is such a beautiful property. You can definitely tell it is restored with care. You guys are doing a amazing job.
As always ..... PERFECT! Anna and Ed it looks amazing, the tiles are perfect as are the units, worktop and flooring well done both x

Absolutely beautiful!! Looks like something you’d see in a magazine!Well done edd and Anna ❤❤
As always I admire you guy’s team work.
It’s such a shame Edd back can’t be permanently fixed.
Just from experience I know there’s nothing worse than back pain.
Really do admire you guys!!
Xxxxxx
The reason for having sockets lower is so you can hide the cords behind the appliances.
Ed, try pilates. I used to regularly have back problems but when I started to do pilates it gradually improved as my spine became more flexible and my core muscles grew stronger to support my back. Find a good teacher who teaches small classes and is hands on and checks your position. It would be good for both of you.
i prefer the sink under he window.. but then i have always had alovely view
Beautiful work Ed and the tiles look amazing. ❤
Plugs. Not sure why Ed thinks the cord from the toaster/blender/etc is gonna look good up the wall like that. The reason they are close to the worktop is to hide the cords behind the appliances and also the cords are usually relatively short, so there isn't a bunch of cords bunched up behind the appliances, & may not reach. It does take more tile cuts if you put them in the standard place.
Edd UR TILE JOB IS AWESOME. I LIKE HOW U STAGED PATTERNS SO CLEVERLY😍
Not to pick on Ed (especially with the sore back) but in general I prefer Anna's design decisions. She really has a great eye for beautiful design choices! Great job on the apartment, both of you.
Wow! Spectacular!
Great job on the tiles!! Ed. Take care of your back!!
Use blocking on the underside of the sink to increase the depth, then go ahead and install the claps. Use super glue to place the blocks of wood.
The kitchen looks beautiful! I particularly love the cabinets and countertops. You have done a wonderful job with the tiles too. I hope your back will heal soon. Please take of yourselves! Love from Vermont
You did a great job on the kitchen Ed. I personally don't like the modern style but it still looks nice. You better take care of your back remember it's the only one you've got. God Bless, Kathy 🇺🇸
Curious: Why is the sink not placed at the window? That appliance could have been positioned next to the wall. Looks off center. Otherwise your work is amazing and has been a gift to me!
Thanks for the love but, no answer...oops
🤔 Can you make cutting boards out of the extra pieces of wood. Sean who helps Billy likes to make cutting boards. Or maybe tiny kitchen side tables…or serving trays with raised edges. 💕Kitchen is really really adorably nice. Hope you feel better soon. 💕
WOW ED IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would of put the drainer on the right hand side away from the hob 😊
How exciting to see you on the final kitchen sprint 😊
Dopey says the kitchen work is dope!
Fabulous job Ed andAnna
Beautiful you two!!!❤ I know what hard work it is to lay tile and it came out so beautifull, I'll be you have years and years to enjoy your new kitchen ( unless you sell the chateaux but then someone else will have many years of enjoyment in that beautiful kitchen!!💓
The tiles that you selected brings a lot of texture into the small kitchen bring both design and modern together in harmony.
Loving your channel. Quick tip - fun use for the leftover tiles in the kitchen: add self-adhesive cork to the back of the whole tiles and use as trivets.
A really fantastic job you two work so well together 🎉
Wow guys the kitchen looks great, the tiles are beautiful. Hope you all feel better soon ❤
Great job Ed & Anna. Agree with others...your health needs to trump the vlogs... your fans will understand & be patiently waiting when you need time away for health & family!🥰
awesome tiling job looks great all different designs
The kitchen looks amazing love the tiles thanks for sharing
I LOVE YOUR BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN!!! THE TILES ARE FABULOUS!!!
WELL DONE!!!💖💖💖💖💖
The kitchen looks really good, great job. I really like the tiles
Beautiful, the kitchen really looks amazing, the tiles gave that touch of the French country side, it feels warm, well choice.
I love you guys! The channel is as good as it gets after staying off for a few months, and I just realized how much peace and joy you are indeed broadcasting to the audience!
The leftover board would make a good bread board.
The tiles make the kitchen, good choice 👍
I’d fill those lovely wide window sills with plants. Good feature to have in a kitchen ❤
💕Leftover tiles add cork backing & make into matching stands for pots💕Or depending on size cut into coasters for cups💕
I had laundry to fold that I was procrastinating & muttering about....
Thank you Edd & Anna for making me feel lazy & getting it done LOL
The kitchen is looking GREAT!!!
Edd PLEASE take care of your back & ALL of you guys get well soon.
It looks great Ed and Anna, love the bright clean modern look, and the random black and white tiles really ties it together, it`s coming along very nice, all the best to ya.
Great job both of you ☕🌹🍰🍰🌹☕
Love Sue❤❤❤🇬🇧❤❤
I have a bad back so I can feel your pain and know how hard it can be to struggle to get work done when your back isn't cooperating. It really turned out beautifully though. I love the tiles and the counter top as well. Great job!
I love these bench tops... and holding the end of the bench top when the husband is cutting it; I know this so well (we are also doing renovations, on a smaller scale, though.)
What beautiful modern tiles from Italy! The kitchen is a dream.
Fabulous job Edd and Anna. I like the idea of using the extra tiles as a base for either flower pots or herbs 🪴 Take care of your back Edd. Take it easy, we’ll still be here if you need time to rest. Impressive work even with a bad back. Thanks for sharing 😍😘
hmmm.. the whole sink seems to be back to front.. and the wrong way round for someone who is right handed? It looks awkward with a larger lip at the front than the back.. With tap on the draining board (and on the left hand side) there is no room for a proper draining rack and any pans on the draining board will hamper the tap, especially if you are right handed? Are those plug sockets up on the wall? Not sure my kettle flex would stretch that far... I can see that this the end of a large project and you just want to get it done. The kitchen looks fab though, if not practical. well done, another job ticked off!😁
Looking Great Ed, and love how Anna is always there to help you. Real team work. Lovely couple.
Crap missed first,Thursday is Thanksgiving and I will set the alarm I will make first comment it is part of my game..To see how on time everyone is😉🥰
👍👍
fab job. looking beautiful. well done.
well done! Love the tiles!
love the choice of tiles it's brung the kitchen together well done ed excellent
Beautiful
Magnificent job as usual Ed. You and Anna prove over and over again what a hardworking team you are together and I love the preciseness of your work Ed. Please look after your back as it can be crippling if it gets much worse. 👌👏🙏🏻🥰
I wonder if you'd used the longer piece of bench first if you could have avoided the obvious join. For example, might it have landed at the edge of the cooker? Anyhooo. It looks very nice. Hope your back gets better soon.
It looks fantastic!!
Gosh Edd Your So Clever. Kitchen Looks Fabulous. Xx 😘
Absolutely beautiful and I love to watch both of your skills;Congratulations on the job very well done.
It's awesome
WOW. A great job on the counter and tiles
The tiles turned out great! The kitchen is very nice. Great job Edd and Anna. Blessings.
I really like the tiles! Nice work Ed.
Billy moved over to the 200K followers can not wait to see yours roll over the 100k keep going..
Yep! And trivets.
Good to see the bench top on and the tiles look great
you have done a beautiful job
take the 3 tiles for coaster...
I love it! Such nice work. When you were placing the tiles it reminded me of quilt making where you slap up the pieces on a flannel wall to arrange how they'll look. It's so nice, you guys. ❤️. Sorry about your back, Edd. Please take care. 🥰.
Looks great Ed! Even better when you can use left overs and they work. 🙌
Also ,what about a pull out chopping board between the counter top & dishwasher top it could be pulled in and out for extra chopping prep space and also fill in that gap . Just an 💡 idea🤪
Looks great, very nice.
The kitchen looks beautiful and I absolutely love the tiles ❤️
I’m all caught up! The kitchen looks great. I absolutely love the tile! 🖤🤍 Edd, take it easy on your back!
I like where you put the tap
