Just got the LPX. How can I toggle velocity on/off quickly? Also trying to use it for a replacement for Maschine 2. All i do it tap pad using it so. But is there a way to get a 4 Maschine banks speard over the keys/pads? Thanks!
Great video, I'm trying to setup a launchpad mini mk3 to control live loops. The problem is it works great if you just use tracks 1-8 in Logic. As soon as you switch to track 9 (and above) the view on the launchpad shifts to tracks 9-16. So if you are using Live loops live for a flexible backing track as soon as you shift to track 9, to play a soft synth live, you loose the view of tracks 1-8 , which you need to control the backing track ?? There is a parameter in Control surface setup called "Track Lock" that sounds like it should fix this but it doesn't do anything. Any ideas on how to fix this from anyone? Thanks
I just bought a novatiom launchpad mini mk3. And I am confused cause it doesn’t make sense on the one I have to flip it on another side, like he said. Any others who have wondered about that? Is that a mistake, should I change some settings or something?
In the new version of Logic, I believe if you go to the Control Surface settings there is a setting under the Novation controller to set it for not having to flip the Launchpad? Go to Logic Pro>CONTROL SURFACES>SETUP and click on the picture of your Launchpads. Then look on the left and in the top section DEVICE, look for an option for DEVICE ROTATION. I think you can set it to none and you won't have to rotate the device to match the layout in live loops anymore? If not, play with the other settings and you will get it right for your preference!

Since I believe Logic update 10.7 Logic automatically supports the whole Novation Launchpad and Launchkey lines.
Yes, you don't have to rotate anything anymore. LaunchPad + Live Loops works perfectly right out of the box.

You may not have all the advanced features enabled in the preferences.

You can use the LaunchPad as a regular MIDI controller, to play MIDI software instruments or control MIDI CCs, etc.

One workaround: drag-&-drop Loop into Tracks view, record the automation in Tracks view, then re-import it into Loops.
