Dont we all love Escudo! My father gave me an old tin of Copes Escudo that he had for years. All I know it was made in the UK back then which is printed on the tin and of course no bar codes or dates. It was a tin at least 30 years old plus and absolutely devine! The perique had lost its peppery notes but melded so nice with the virgina and was mellow smooth and delicious with what im told a very nice room note. I can imagine your older tins having some of those chatacters. Thanks for sharing your cellared Escudo with us.
just happened to see this today. Relatively new to pipe smoking, but ironically, today was my first time trying Escudo. Man what a great smoke and I can see myself making this one an all day smoke. I smoked it in my Bingham and it was quite a good match. I appreciate your review on it. Even though it was some 2 years ago. Thanks
Hard to argue over aged Escudo no doubt! I opened a tin last year from 2007 and it was just awesome. Nice seeing the pipe work, good looking stubby Poker. I need to start setting up a better system for my briar. Have a great week. Best wishes.
I think it's probably the best VaPer of it's kind. I wouldn't include the VaPers that have other tobaccos in there with it. I love this blend too, much more than Navy Rolls also. I also didn't like Navy Rolls after aging it. I haven't tried Escudo aged. Nice video. Take care. -Alex

By default my favorite Va/Per is PS Luxury Bullseye Flake. However, I cannot deny the Escudo was better tasting. That was the only tin I ever had of it. My mistake for not buying more to cellar. Hey Beans ! As a Vaper enthusiast who occasionally enjoys a burley blend, I’d be super curious to have your impressions on C&D’s Briar Fox. It’s given as a Virginia Burley blend but there’s definitely some kind of mysterious twist to it. Spoiler alert : I LOVE it. Needs some aging though.
Escudo is a top 5 tobacco for me. I have a tin with about 3 years age on it. Not sure I could hold it for 12 though. Lol. Nice stubby nose warmer by the way. Good work my man. 👊🏻🤘🏻

I loved your presentation you did, but I would have like to see how you packed your pipe with the "coin" tobacco. Do you fold and stuff, do you rub the coin out and stiff into your pipe. I have just ordered some Escudo 3 days ago from Smoking Pipes, and expect it to arrive on the 16th of this month. I have never tried this blend, but as you say, everybody speaks very highly of it. I generally switch back and forth between aromatics and light English blends. Am looking forward to trying this blend especially after you review.

@@beans316 curly special is similar cut to 3 nuns, the long un cut version is curly block (my apologies to every one who love it but its over priced, i like escudo/dunhill delux roll just the same), gawith LF is very mild lakeland very close to stonehenge minus the burly but same topping, identical to hansom flake very mild creamy sweet cocoa topped vaper (if you dont find these blends to be over whelming lakeland then this will not be either)
Trying my 1st tin of Escudo. My complaint is that there I'd so little of it in the tin for what I paid. I like it, but I like LNF better. Always amazes me when you crack those tins; my fingernails would be splintered.
It’s a Lotus 25 there discontinued but you can still find them recently I bought 2 more for $45 each there both soft flame for pipes and jet side for cigars
How would you compare it to Elizabethan Mixture? I only have these two options for now and I never smoked any vaper and don't know which one to choose for my first.
Yes, that is some great s*it. Haven't had it in years, because it is expensive now, and sometimes hard to find. Peter Stokkebye Luxury Bullseye Flake is poor man's Escudo, anyway! (But even that can be hard to find; at least there is still tobacco out there, for now.) Look at it...

I’ll have to revisit it again but if memory serves me right the Dunhill was lighter . I really like Davidoff medallions also
