The examples are so helpful for thinking of ideas for using the lens. I also like that you mentioned renting. At the moment, in the US it seems to be renting at around $120 for a week. That is not bad if one can plan ahead for its use for a project, or even just to spend a week trying it out and learning about things such as handling the requirement for lots of light, which is one of the huge practical takeaways from your video. Much appreciated.
@@BradyBessette You know... This gave me an idea to maybe perfect yours? Like a like attachment on the lens that allows fluid, beans or whatever, to run down parallel or even spiral around the lens. And instead of you throwing staff close to it, you just pour them into a small funnel or an opening. Might give you the extra bonus of moving the camera up and down, or even left or right together with the subject matter. Cool? Never saw that. Fluid changing direction along with the camera even in super fast mode?
What was it that made you use the lens for this specific idea? It's a really cool shot of a coffee mug but it seems that one could have used other lenses for it and used the probe to get very niche shots. Not trying to sound rude or anything, I'm just curious as I know very little about lenses didn't quite understand this.
@@BradyBessette lol so good man. I have the probe too and love it. It’s fun for perspective shots too, getting very close to something but still having a wide background.
@@BradyBessette yep, and lighting is so important like you said. Solid advice on renting it a few times first too. It’s not a lens everyone should own.

Had so much fun filming food and underwater textures with this lens :). Needs a ton of light though it's insane haha !!
Yeah you really do!

Great video! 🙏🏼 Did you have issues with the colours of your shots?
The lens sat about 1100k warm actually
@@BradyBessette Okay, thank you. For the kind of shots you get this is still okay. And every user found a workaround so.. :D
Loved it so much. Everybody wants a Probe lens 🤓🤓
It’s so cool really, thank you
I love my probe lens, welcome to the probe lens club!
If you grabbed a 6k you can crop in for that closer look without having the lens as close.
That’d be super close !!!
Thanks, I'll have to rent one and try it out.
Awesome ! Have fun!
