10:13 IU did go through one of the roughest journeys as a child and also as an artist, The perisod where she had mental heath issues was not too long after she lost all three of her best bestfriends to suic*de, they were idols as well and fairly known names in korea as one of the three was a member of one of the more famous boy groups "Shinee", it was a ruff year in the korean industry for the fans and artists as well.

IU is currently in relationship with actor Lee Jong-suk, he is one of her longtime close friends. They just started quite recent too, so i think thats one of the thing when IU said her 30s is more balanced as well.
And the great thing is her whole fandom Uaena is fully supportive, everyone wishing her a happy relationship. When it was anounced, the mood was so festive among Uaena.
So i also hope Armys will support BTS members positively whenever they chose to have any relationship.
Majority of us like 90% will be over the moon if or when the members announce a relationship (if thats what they want ofc. if they want to keep everything private we also understand and have no issues whatsoever). The only ones who will be loud and so mf annoying throwing tantrums r gonna be delusional psychotic shippers, akgaes and antis. The rest of us will be like uaenas are with IU and be so happy for them🫂

Iu has went through a lot and i really mean A LOT in her career, and i am only talking about what's actually known to audience.
I think her and g dragon are few of the people who struggled a lot in the industry and are still very successfully active for more than 15 years.

“My Mister” is my favorite K-drama, but for entertainment purposes, I’d probably recommend for them to watch “Hotel del Luna.” She was nominated for best actress for both of them anyway.
@@HollyGolightly-lo5ez It's been years since I watched "My mister" but it is still one of my favorite k-dramas ever. It is not your usual k-drama.. you won't be laughing or crying watching it. But it just leaves you with a heavy feeling, making you think a lot about life and survival
This episode was amazing! Glad to see you two take so much from it, I love Suga and IU’s dynamic together. Hope she does call RM sometime, I think they’d write beautiful songs together.
To what you were saying about relationships/family, IU is actually publicly in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, which is quite rare in the industry to be open about it (at least before marriage/engagement) and she seems very happy, which makes me glad. I’m curious to how/whether any BTS members will choose to go about that after finishing service, and how things will change. As you said, it’s completely their choice whether they want to date/have families in the first place and whether they want to tell the public, as long as they’re happy.
Yup im with you, whatever the guys r comfortable with sharing (if anything at all) is completely their decision, their business and their privacy so however they decide to go about it im with them every step of the way and wish them nothing but the best.

It’s understandable IU couldn’t wait to get older & enjoy her regular speaking voice more (deeper tone), b/c she was labeled as the “nation’s little sister,” when she’s been a grown woman for so long, who thinks deeply & writes profoundly. She had to compete in a time dominated by boy and girl groups, while she prevailed as the leading soloist of Korea. I’m sure she was brushed off not just because she was young, but because she was also a woman. If you watch a lot of the past music variety shows & videos, she is the only female in the room. I’m glad her talent speaks for itself. She is now the richest K-pop idol, who gives an abundance of her earnings to charity causes (single mothers & families, disabled, seniors & special needs children). Her good karma will only give her more blessings.
btw Dream High is a very famous kdrama IU played in as the lead role. BALSO Kim soohyun played in it as a second lead role
Thank you for reacting to this. IU is a great artist, award winning singer and actress, brand ambassador/model. She has a lot of great Korean dramas and Movies that you might want to watch, too. Her song The Lost Child was the audition song of JungKook when he auditioned for Superstar K. IU now is in a relationship with actor Lee JongSuk and there's a rumor that they're planning to get married soon.

I love all your BTS reactions and would love for you to check out some more of the suchwita episodes with other people besides bts in them. Some of my personal favourites are the ones where he interviews other idols such as txt's yeonjun and taehyun, seventeen's hoshi and shinee's taemin (with a surprise bts guest!)

When they were talking about the lenght of IU's concert I know Suga mentions that her concerts can last 6 hours. You guys did not mention this amazing fact about her.
I first discovered IU through her acting in the drama My Mister, with the academy award winning actor Lee Sun Kyun who pasted away at the end of December, where she instantly grab my heart and hasn't let go. Her performance was so haunting that after watching an episode I'd ho to bed still worrying about her.
It was then that I learned she was also a kpop soloist. I knew nothing of kpop and was reluctant at first to listen to her sing, for I didn't want to not like her music. She has a lot of behind the scenes type UA-cam videos which really allow you to see her personality. Then I watch Hotel Del Luna. A supernatural drama where she is the owner of a hotel where souls can rest and adjust to the afterlife and work out any issues they have. She wears a different outfit with a different hairstyle in every scene. Someone had counted over 80 different outfits over the course of the 16 episode drama. And she was beautiful in every one.
Then I watched a Vehind the scene video of her last Seoul concert of her 10th anniversary tour, where the concert was over and there is a video of the staff talking about working with IU. It was like a walking out credit type thing. IU had come back out but was back stage watching the video, she joking wondered if her staff was going to trash talk her. The video was about 15 minutes. And IU then comments that all the Dan's are still there seated and watching the video. After it was over she ask, should I go back out. She did and she performed another 2 1/2 hours. I was stunned. Who does this? In the states, when I was growing up in the late 60's and 70's if a band did an encore it was at most 3 songs.
There were sone staff members who were pleading how hungry they were. The concert started at 5pm and they show their phones with the time and it was 10:30pm.
The more I learn about her the more impressed I became. Then I watched a reactor who summed up IU perfectly. At the beginning of her reaction she was talking about IU and said that she was born under a Star and can heal your soul. She put into words what I was feeling but had been able to express. By the way I love her music.
A few fact you may not know about IU. Rolling Stone Magazine added her to their list of the 200 Greatest Singers of All Time, becoming the 1st Korean singer to make the list. She was 15 international age 16 Korean when she debuted. In an industry were trainees train 5 to 10 years before debut IU trained for 10 months. She started to audition when she was 13 and was rejected 20 times before a small company signed her. Before signing with that company she was scammed out of money by a guy posing as a entertainment CEO. Her Grandmother had provided her life saving to this guy. Through all of this she never lost her smile, her charm etc.
A note on Korean music industry. While there are kpop performers who get into trouble they don't usually have the same issues as those here in the States. I am talking about the younger performers. That is because the agencies keep an extremely tight and short list on perform under contract. Korea is a very ridged society, even dating can become a scandal. While training they live in dorms at the agency. There is a Kdrama, with IU playing a kpop star, that shows the tight control these agencies have over their performers. It is called the Producers and I think it is on Netflix.
Just to correct you IU and Jungkook were the first Korean singers to make Rolling Stone magazines list. Also it was so cool and interesting to read everything and learn new tidbits about her from what u wrote ☺️ and its just so heartwarming to know IU and some of the BTS members (from what we currently know) r close friends and have been for quite some time without us fans even knowing. They're all, BTS and IU, are such good people so im glad they could have one more person in their lives who is kind, genuine and knows what they r going through in the industry. I just wish eight of them nothing but happiness and health
I loved this episode!! I admire IU so much as an artist and person. She is truly amazing with a big heart, humble and talented. I've been waiting for IU in Suchwita for a while now and it happened! I can really feel the sincerity of IU and Yoongi that it even brought tears to my eyes several times the first time I watched it haha
I am just very proud of them and I hope that their wishes come true and we can have them for many more years. 💖
What Yoongi said about how they won't have any more new fans, he hopes to grow old with the Armys who have been supporting him all these years was really beautiful. 😭💜

Yes it’s grain powder made from 7 - 15 different types of grains .So I imagine it could taste very cereal like .I would probably try to use a blender to make sure it’s not too grainy.

Don’t be surprised that you cry when you’re feeling the emotions of a song “too” strongly Wes. Crying is actually the body’s natural and most effective way of venting emotions. So it makes sense why, like you said, your body would cry to release the emotions.
A lot of toxic armies have bullied other idols who were shipped with bts members.
Even IU was bullied a lot online when jk said she was his crush.
The pattern is that if the given artist have majority fans of opposite gender, for example bts have majority female fans . Then dating brings a lot of hate .
Groups like - BTS , EXO ,Shinee, svt , skz, gg etc have majority fans of opposite gender.
While - mamamoo, twice, blackpink , bigbang etc have majority fans of same gender. they don't have much trouble dating as long as they don't date another idol with majority opposite gender fans.
The thing with IU is she had majority male fans in her early years . But now she has both male and female fans who just like her music, and don't care about her personal life.

You forget that Koreans are a "year older" than us too lol so from the info given, she started as a trainee at the same age as JK, 13, debuted at 14, blew up at 15. Uwaa~
Oh and fun fact since thry talked about the eye contact, Yoongi has ADHD, (same and I have the same problem) and both me and my mom learned (her work as a home health assistant, and me in Psychology class as well as my research into ADHD using peer-reviewed studys) that ADHD is technically on the spectrum, but it's so high on the spectrum, so close to (formerly known) Aspergers, that they created its own category in the DSM. What does autism have in common with ADHD? Struggles with eye contact, texture sensitivity, sound sensitivity, and tendency to fixate on a particular thing. Depending on the severity of course, so i would typically say Yoongi is pretty low on the ADHD scale, but considering his eye contact problem and his tendency to touchy-touch everything, I'm guessing he's moderately high, but on the I scale rather than the H scale. Meaning predominately Inattentive over Hyperactive or even Combination. (Sadly I'm Combo and severely high that my doctor told me I am the poster child of ADHD 😅)

Oh right, so a synopsis of BTS origins and purpose began with Bang PD growing sick and tired of the factory production of Idols and their mistreatment, so he broke off of the standard as a start up music company, BigHit. He wanted to change the idol industry so he tried to make a few bands, and all but bts failed. So you have one group and a bankrupt company, picking a fight against their industry and even their government and culture. The training period was particularly hard because of that and even before then when they were trainees, they weren't with BH yet. They were technically still part of YG, one of the Big 3 who thrived and endorsed the toxic nature of kpop, so they started from literally abuse, to audition for BH when BPD quit YG to make his own company, then suffered through being in poverty and bankruptcy, having to work after long long hours of training in different fields that some of them never had any experience in. Yoongi is one of the ones who worked to keep the group and company afloat because he was familiar with that pressure already, having been kicked out of his home at one point by his family, and just being poor in general, so he struggled particularly worse than some of the members. Hyung line really tried to shield and protect the younger boys, making sure they were fed and sleeping enough. So when they suffered so much in order to combat the kpop industry, I loathe people considering them as kpop, and they did too initially. But I'm glad for Yoongi's sake that we are starting to see a difference in how the industries are being run.
Honestly, a lot of people newer to BTS and who know about how toxic production companies are, tend to criticize Bang PD and BigHit/Hybe but they don't see how hard BPD fought for BTS's success. He cares about them a lot and even with TxT and other new artists, he made it a safer enviornment to focus on creativity. Its not at all like the Big 3. I knew someone who personally knew one of the members of a group that worked for SME and they were physically abused, on stage, for messing up. The staff member literally walked right up onto the stage and beat the shit out of them and it's on video.. there are so many stories of forced plastic surgery, starving periods, verbal and phsyical abuse, even SA.. BH and Hybe did a massive improvment and BH let BTS have soooo much freedom. Its not contracted that they can't date. They either choose not to, or keep it private because of toxic fans attacking them or suspected partners over it. G-Dragon for eg. Introduced his long-term gf to his fans and the pressure of fans bullying her severely and even him for it, they broke up and he expressed his disappointment with his fans and stopped oversharing with them for safety.
Sorry for the tangent, I just want people to understand that some things arent the company's, but rather situations. Oh and when Hybe formed, BTS were given most shares, where they purchased their own sub-company within the company to have full control over their schedules and product rights. So right before Hybe, BTS promised they would put all their efforts in for Army, so they chose to stop being used in this or that way, made things easier, cheaper, and more accessible for army. I remember army complaining that Hybe stopped using BTS in ads and product placement, when BTS themselves made that choice, as soon as TXT started. Blah, ok.. rant over lol
ANYWAY~ I really feel for and admire Yoongi for his strength in being able to get where he is and use it to make a difference for young artists, because nobody should have to go through everything he did. That they all did. Nobody else has openly talked about the struggles in the detail Yoongi has, so I imagine he shielded them from alot. Even Namjoon, though arguably he got the worst end of things. If anyone did poorly or needed reprimanding, Namjoon would have had to be the first to take the brunt of it. In essence, theyre the tanks of the party 😂 Namjoon Paladin, and Yoongi the Warrior/Marauder because Namjoon shielded and Yoongi fought for the team.💜

Amazing channel. I've always had this androgynous look as Jung Kook and other guys in K POP, but in my case it was fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :) To anyone who's ever been a victim of hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: 'maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. Remember; There's never anything wrong with you.

About their private life I agree! maybe a lot of armys are curious about some things but it's not the same situation like it happens with other western artists or celebrities. I mean, the general public even knows who is dating who, their past couple and stuff and the paparazzi's there it's a heaving issue since the follow celebrities all the time and immediately publish everything and becomes viral and there's so much drama. In the kpop industry is not like that but it kind of also has a problem bc fans are like obsessed of shipping idols for any little interaction they have with other idols or there's deulu fans that think their idols are going to get married with them like 💀like touch so grass lol but yeah..
I'm not going to deny that there's people like that in army, but sadly that's something that exists in every community and the same goes for the toxic fans. In the case of armys I think the majority respect their private lives and are not obsessed about stalking them and their friends and stuff and the BTS members have done a great job keeping things private. I mean, we even haven't seen how Taehyung's siblings look like and a lot of fans don't even know he has siblings lol, or when we found out about Bam just bc of In The Soop. Also, we just know about their pre-debut dating life bc they have shared some stories or bc back then there was info but mow we don't know their date life it all and I think it's ok, it's better to wait if they want to show us someone they love someday instead of give the attention to paparazzis or people who creates rumors.
We just want them to be happy and we should respect their decisions in the private life because it's not our business. I feel that BTS being that private about their personal lives is way better bc their family, friends and themselves will not feel pressure or get crowded and fans and the general public are not going to discuss all the time about that and instead we will be focus just on music and what they have released as public figures just as we should!
