- The 1997 series based on the classic sci-fi film with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones helped Kids WB own our 90s and early 2000s existence. But did you know in later seasons, the show had real vision and low-key insane art?

Men In Black: The Animated Series - Everything You Didn't Know | SYFY WIRE - Розваги
When you dont have cable growing up. WBs kids and FOXs kids was all you need.
Yup 😄 great times on weekdays and Saturday mornings
I had Dish Network with 200+ at that time when it first aired and I get say it was a bitch finding that channel as well getting time to watch it before my dad kick me out of the house or take me with him to the store.
UPN too
don't forget disney's one saturday morning CBS kids and telemundo kids
When I did get cable I'd still watch kids WB, Fox Saturday and Disney one Saturday morning
Batman animated, MIB, Extreme Ghostbusters, Godzilla - definitive Version of saturday mornings
Godzilla was over the top.
Superman the animated series was my favorite
Robocop: alpha commando also and Reboot
I miss Watching this and Godzilla the series along with Spiderman the animated series as well
@@enjnman robo cop had a couple of shows that I remember
Men In Black: The Series needs to come back to TV with new episodes.
While crossing over with Real/Extreme Ghostbusters, Big Guy & Rusty, Godzilla, Jumanji, Jackie Chan Adventures, and the 2003 TMNT.. to conclude that season, with fighting alongside the "Will SMith version" of Agent J, etc.
YES! I WANT THAT BACK IN TV!
yeah for real, put that on Netflix 12 eps per season
@@BrianAwesome I think it will be interesting to see a Men In Black/Ghostbusters crossover.
netflix and make it mature
Jeff Kline nailed it with this show, Extreme Ghostbusters, and Godzilla The Series. I love his style and it really worked in the late 90s early 2000s
Always loved his style. Big Guy & Rusty and Jackie Chan Adventures were some of my faves.
I don’t think Extreme Ghostbusters gets enough credit
Loved the Godzilla cartoon F haters of the "Americanized" Godzilla, the movie was freaking awesome too
@@ethanmcdowell1164 Wasn't a big fan of the 98 Godzilla but I loved the cartoon and it made me appreciate that movie.
@@RandomBlackGamer honestly i can see why ppl have there qualms about 98 zilla the movie but the animates series is fyre imagine just being able to call godzilla
The alien designs in the cartoon were way creeper than the film's. It also had a grimy feel to it
That's why I love the show and movies
You think that’s creepy, watch Extreme Ghostbusters, especially the outro. It was unsettling. The old outro from The Real Ghostbusters was more memorable.
Yep
When I was little, I never understood why the characters' voices and faces didn't resemble the actors.
Jacob Staten right! Agent Jay reminded me of Oscar Proud
@@91Definite J not Jay
@@CDRiley lol real fan truly
@@91Definite Agent J:"sugah momma help!!"
It bugged me too
MIB The Series is what they should be doing in live action on like HBO or something. Forget making more movies
Yeah with improved animatronics and VFX then can pull it with quality budget
Men in black three was from the animated series
Steve Grez No live action. Cartoons are better. You can be more creative and have more imagination with cartoons.
I’m so glad Crackle has the episodes on their app. I’ve been rewatching the show since my daughter was 3 months old
Crackle? Now that is a name I haven't heard in a long time.
Sweet
One of my favourite lines from the series:
J: Frank, what do you look like under that mask?
Frank: You know Shania Twain?
J: Yeah?
Frank: Think of her but the complete opposite.
J: Woah.
At the end of the episode Frank shows his alien face to J. His real face looks exactly like his dog face but with purple skin. J is disappointed.
This series was really good and build it's own lore from the movie. Great storylines. I hope you cover the newer Ghostbusters that came on right after Men in black on WB.
the movies were awesome expect the 4th one that was awful, the cartoon series was great though
I also enjoyed their Godzilla cartoon.
Great stuff!
mekman4 Same it was so awesome
Oh yeah
Yea this was incredible.
You mean their Zilla cartoon
Everything You Didn’t Know: Xiaolin Showdown
Braaaa
Bruh as a Brazilian who had just moved to the US, it meant a lot to me that raimundo was Brazilian
I honestly forgot about this show until now, at which a flood of memories came tumbling back. Thank you for that 😀
Men In Black theme song or as it was widely known as, Forget Me Knots by Patrice Rushen. Happy Black History month!
Yeah I know and if you listened to the end credits of the cartoon that's her version playing
I remember this, Jackie Chan Adventures and Xiolin Showdown being some of my favorite shows to watch.
This needs to come out on DVD/Blu-ray.
I'm a big fan of men in black the series. The Ford LTD car in both the show and movie is my favorite movie car. I'm glad they updated the animation and character design for season 2, 3 and 4
It's been 19 years since I watched the series finale and I still remember it to this day: NYC is attacked on a mass scale and MIB headquarters gets destroyed, J, K, Zed, and L are clearing away derbies to begin rebuilding and Jack Jeebs, Frank, and the Worms all show up to help.
Couldn't be a better ending to such a great show.
This show low key had some of the best art and one of the most banging things of intro music and sequences
That intro is still one of the greatest ever.
I never heard the ending theme because kids wb always ran commercials split screen at the end of shows. Was hella surprised when I heard Jackie Chan adventures' ending them too
The opening themes of MIB, Godzilla, and Extreme Ghostbusters were so catchy. I love the 90's opening themes for cartoons and shows.
MIB's intro was super catchy.
The Godzilla cartoon was catchy the Zilla cartoon not so much
KIDSWB had the best action shows for kids/teens and now adults who are “90sbabies”
To go back and watch old Saturday morning shows ... best feeling
Thanks for this - I've never seen anyone talk about the animated series before. I have all four seasons (bootleg) and still love that theme song!
This was one of the best series that came out when I was kid growing up. The movie series was awesome as well but would definitely love to see this come back to the network.
This show had the grooviest intro music! 90's 4 Life!!!
This show was amazing. Every now and then I still look up the intro for inspiration.
4:10 "Worms with clothes may be weirder."
* Earthworm Jim has left the chat. *
I always wished they'd do an MIB Ghostbusters crossover, they had the perfect opportunity with this show and missed it!
Bro you look like a younger version of Uncle Phil with that suit on. It's amazing.
THE LACK OF TOYS NOT BEING SOLD. Made it impossible to run for another season.😊
@Milton Cruz . i used tp record them on VHS every Saturdays with Card Captors and Jackie Chan Adventures.😊
It's shows MIB: TAS these is what hit Kids WB at it's peak.
Funny how no one seems to remember Earthworm Jim being on kids WB back in the day.
I loved this show so much!!!
The 150 people that didnt like this weren't a child or born in the 90s
Didn't know that the guy who voiced Edgar also voiced his twin. Great call back to the movie
Edgar the bug was all my time favorite villian of the whole men in Black series , I also remember watching the episode of the series where Edgar's twin brother comes down lol 😂 good times
My Saturdays were THE BEST time in my childhood. I'd get up at 7am to start watching cartoons on every channel (I never had cable) and my parents were nice enough to let me stay there till 11 or 12 before they'd make me play outside.
why do i remember worms having coffee addiction in series and in one episode they went haywire when it was not decaffeine like itsuppose to?
Somehow, Agent X has managed to live in my mind rent-free since I was a child. I'm 30 and still not over that reckless green dude.
They replaced the cigarette addiction with coffee
Everything You Didn’t Know: Wayne Head
Then Bobby's World and C Bear and Jamaal
Wolfman7870 exactly
What is funny about the Waynehead intro is that homeless guy obviously doped out dancing XD
Carlos Galindo 😐
BLAKE DA GREAT if you seen it, you know what I am talking about. That was the first animated crackhead
I used to watch: Men I'n Black, Jumanji, Batman, Static Shock, Beyond and Jacky Chan Adventures.
One thing I liked that the show added was a suppressor to the Noisy Cricket, explains why you would use that hand cannon as a personal sidearm.
That's why you don't use an anti material rifle as a pistol.
I loved L, she had some of the best lines in the series.
They should revive the series, at least for the lost episodes. Especially now that alternate universes have become a selling point in franchises.
Of course I remember the Free Willy cartoon, that show was insane! It's villain was a businesman with political ambitions that was secretly a weapons-dealing cyborg with an army of slime monsters!
...wat now
Tommy Lee Jones and will Smith should do voices of there ever was to be a men in black animation TV show
@SYFY WIRE, to be honest... The Early Years - Generation Fox Kids Rocks Kids (the '93 - '97 portions) , UPN Kids Action Zone ('97 - '99) , The Heavy Duty Dubbas of Kids' WB ('97 - '99), and the 2000 - 2001 portions of Toonami.. were the absolute BEST that animated tv has to offer.
It was an adrenaline rush of a roller coaster ride.
Richard Raynis also worked on this show! He has worked on all Adelaide Productions like Extreme Ghostbusters, Godzilla, Jumanji, Big Guy and Rusty, Jackie Chan Adventures and even Dilbert! Raynis has also worked on the FOX shows The Simpsons, King of the Hill and Futurama!
*Zilla
I would love to see a fifth season or a spinoff of the animated series
Ayeeee. As a kid, my friend and I use to do the alien line up done in the opening credits. Loved the opening theme music. Great show.... did have adult situations though, but the 90s did that a lot in cartoons.
It amazes me how the animation series is more serious than the movie. It's like the cartoon is for adults and vice versa for the movie.
The WB later became The CW in 2006
The Zilla cartoon series was really good as well, thanks 90s. Now, I'm still waiting for a Jurassic Park cartoon
Isn't camp Cretaceous good enough for that?
I'm waiting for an actual Godzilla series, which is clearly never going to happen sadly
Hears the news: I love you SyFy
I loved theme song and the dance. The cartoon was fantastic. All the aliens 👽
Do godzilla: the animated series next.
I know you mean *Zilla the animated series, even tho the original Godzilla cartoon is better
I LOVED THIS TV SHOW AS A KID 🥰🥰🥰and still watch it to this day
Same here
I've been around since 1993 and Kids WB and Cartoon Network were like the only channels I watched. HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SHOW?!
I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish it had lasted longer. You can still find it around the internet. I can't say where, but it is out there. They really should either put all of it out on disk, or some other legal means of watching it. Not to mention showing some love to some of their other series.
Just like Batman Beyond, MIB had a killer intro track
Great vid dude... definitely nostalgic
Some of the animated series should have been made into the sequel film we wanted. Extreme Ghosbusters, Jumanji, Starship Troopers CGI
Everything You Didn’t Know: Goosebumps
I miss the old animated series like ahhhh real monsters, pinky and the brain and all of them 👍👍
Great videos keep up the great work
Men in Black the animated series is my favorite adaptation of the Men in Black Comics. I saw the cartoon before I watched the 1997 film even though the movie (with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones) came first and the cartoon came second.
I loved how Alpha look more disturbing each time we saw him.
I loved this show as a kid. I remember watching this in the afternoon with my brother. Why doesn't anyone ever talk about this? It's like no one remembers it at all.....
I love the MiB animated series. I have the full series on DVD
Wow, thank you for this SYFY!
It was all about Agent L...tell me I'm wrong
Naaahim all about the original Agent M
You right
when are all 4 seasons coming to DVD? I have seen season 1 on amazon but that's it. 🤨
THEY NEED TO RELEASE ALL 4 SEASONS!
1997 was one of the best years of my life for so many reasons,MIB:The Series was one of them!
How about we send a letter or a petition to the producers of the show, sony pictures and Netflix to tell them that we want Men In Black The Series to come back with new episodes. This is for the fans who love the series and it's popular characters. We want to see more adventures of Agents J and K fighting alien bad guys in New York or in outer space.
Everything You Didn’t Know: C-Bear & Jamal
I remember getting the Burger King toys
90s were the golden ages of saturday morning cartoons
Anybody else notice how when the movie sequels came out they took little things from the cartoon? The MIB International even had the global train system from the cartoon.
This show should have gone on much longer. I haven't seen it in ages, but I remember it being a show that didn't talk down to kids & preach morals, it just wanted to be an action show, like Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, X-Men, & Batman. Art gave me Aeon Flux vibes.
I remember that Jumanji show being pretty good. Of course, I was young and I could be wrong. Can you guys do a Big Guy and Rusty the Boy Robot?
YES!!! This series deserves so much love.
Almost ignored this because it was an ad, but man oh man I would love to have more ads like this
That studio is fking awesome. Their shows still hold up today
Loved this series. It just kept getting better and better with each new season, and significantly so.
And that intro theme song made by will smith sampled Patricia Rushin
ALL OF THEM GREAT SHOWS and all I miss ...so so much.....whelp it's time again for a rewatch binge, who's with me? Already did X Ghostbusters last year
"That was the most disgusting thing i've ever seen....
Do it again!"
This is where the Men in Black series should've ended. No mediocre movie sequels needed.
Still have the video cassettes. Have to binge this weekend.
This show was so dope. I wasn’t a die hard fan but I couldn’t change the channel when this came on
The ride at Universal Orlando is based off the show as well.
It's still going to this day.
Some of the alien designs of the show I thought became the inspiration for the aliens of the men in black ride at Universal Studios Florida.
This was a legit great show for the few episodes I watched.
That intro is unforgettable because of the swag walk
love this cartoon saw it on wb back in 1997 when i was 13 until i was 17 in 2001 it was a lot of fun to watch with great writing
You just know that art style and the other great shows they made. Everybody already mentioned Ghostbusters and Godzilla but who gave a shout out to The Big Guy and Rusty
*Zilla
This Godzilla, Roswell & Extreme Ghostbusters! Hands down, darkest & dopest cartoons during their runs. Lets Debate
Godzilla the animated series was way better than the movie.
Oh yea! Without a doubt. HIGHLY AGREED!
*Zilla
Thank you for talking about this amazing show. It was my childhood 🥰
Godzilla the series : "Am i a joke to you " ?
