    For the first box set I wouldn't say they lied because it's a common thing by now to label the heated amethyst as citrine and in a box where you can't choose the crystals yourself I always expect this type of citrine instead of the natural one, unfortunately.
    I never buy crystals in boxes that I can't choose for myself one by one.
    The chips stones are nice, you can infuse candles and oils and florida aqua with them, for what purpose you need 😀 very useful little stones

    I wonder if the certificate of authenticity was included because technically the citrine was a real stone, albeit modified? Anyway, thank you for doing this video! 🔮✨ I haven’t bought crystals from Amazon and I definitely won’t be anytime soon! 😂

      Watch one from someone else. She’s leaving out key facts and making concrete statements she can’t back up. . Malachite is a risk , white plume agate, to name a couple… a lot of material from India in general. But she can’t say FOR SURE it’s a conflict stone. Not ALL is, there is a lot of old stock left available from before the Taliban took over. I don’t think it’s a subject to speak on without complete understanding otherwise you’re harming the families who do mine this material and depend on it to survive. It’s actually VERY sad what’s happened in Afghanistan but it doesn’t mean we just presume that all the mines were impacted just yet and turn our back on these families. It’s too premature to say for sure. Unless you are living in the region, you can’t really say with certainty. I’ve been in contact with the family I source from and some associates in Pakistan…. It’s not black and white across the board.

      @@laceywhite4380 how are the stones from India considered conflict ? I just want to understand because maybe I am missing something. I mean I went there and got some crystals and jewelry and saw mines and all, India doesn’t seem to be on the conflict list. Nor Pakistan, yeah Afghanistan is definitely facing a lot of problems right now so I understand when it comes to Afghanistan. But India and Pakistan are fine. Got some sapphire from Sri Lanka too. I want to go to Jaipur though, also Tucson.

    Rock Paradise is a pretty big crystal shop in Woodland Hills, CA (located on Conga Ave), I know that they do sell some heat treated amethysts but they’re pretty good at labeling it as that plus they let you know at checkout as well which is pretty cool (: if your ever in the area you should definitely check it out, it’s super cute! They also have some pretty pieces so I’m kinda bummed the Leo box wasn’t the best 😭

    How do you know that it’s not old stock lapis? I have a family of miners in Pakistan of whom I know well and source from for my shop and they still have a bunch of old stock from their neighbors in Afghanistan, left over. Additionally there are some remote locations In Afghanistan that are still not entirely affected by the recent events and have still been able to ethically source lapis. It’s still a very fluid situation and we can’t know for sure yet exactly how the miners are being affected yet or if the Taliban have affected them yet. While it’s important to be cognizant and diligent with sourcing, I think it’s far too premature to just deem ALL lapis a conflict stone at this point.

It's such a shame that tampered fake crystals are hard to spot and in abundance on our markets:it's also a shame us the public become decieved as many buyers use them for healing purposes: I'm happy ive stumbled across your video's which the couple i have watched have been a helpful and look forward to browsing through the rest you have put up on utube. @@laceywhite4380 it’s not amethyst. Citrine and amethyst are both quartz’s and the names refer only to their color as they are molecularly identical. It is not natural citrine, it is citrine still.

    • @Daisy624
      @Daisy624 2 роки тому +2

      @@laceywhite4380 yes as another commenter said, natural citrine and heat treated amethyst are the same thing. In nature, amethyst is heat treated naturally by the earth and it is then citrine. “Heat treated amethyst” is amethyst that is heat treated by man, turning it into citrine. The only difference is the color. They’re the same crystal. “Natural” citrine (amethyst heated by the earth) is prettier/better looking that man-heated citrine so that’s why it’s more sought after. But they are both legitimately citrine.

It doesn’t seem as though you’re leaving room for the merchant to profit and I’m nor surprised there are real crystals, anyone can sell on Amazon… doesn’t mean it’s an Amazon product. Lol. Small businesses just like you and I use Amazon as a place to sell their products , no different than Etsy. Not cool to generalize all of Amazon sellers. Ps: you might want to do some historical review of how shady the corporation Etsy is, especially as it pertains to discriminating against the Crystal community.
    But okay. Keep making these videos with half assed misleading statements that aren’t 100% fact. First couple videos I dismissed, but it’s getting old. Do better for our community. Thx.
