And just before the COVID-19 outbreak, the shoe industry set a new production record; 24.3 billion pairs of shoes were produced worldwide in 2019. Human feet are square-ish at the front. Modern shoes are triangular at the front. All sorts of back, hip and foot pain and pther issues are a result of this. All "progress" is useless if that doesn't change.
