This is yet another triumph. Clear safety information, great use of sport to maintain engagement, just enough humour including breaking the fourth wall, a focus on youth and inspiration, a nice shade of purple, fun music, and the perfect length!
OMG OMG! I immediately recognised that area, that’s Orewa!! I live only half an hour away from there, and I’ve been going there god knows how many times growing up and still go every once in a while And the fact that Air New Zealand, the biggest airline business in the country, filmed a safety video THERE!! It’s like a hopeful dream that you thought would never be possible, has now surprisingly become a reality, thank you for acknowledging the beautiful area of Orewa and The Hibiscus Coast 🤩🙌
Orewa Beach really is a special spot! It’s a place full of memories for so many, and we love being able to showcase its beauty to the world 🌊✨ Thanks for sharing your connection to the area, and we’re stoked to have brought a little piece of it to the skies! 💜 ^SS
@@Kstodios No, and I don't think Air New Zealand will return to the pacific wave livery as you constantly keep requesting. That livery became increasingly outdated and disconnected to the representation of NZ. NZ began to utilise the colour black more extensively not only in our various sports teams, but in many of our national logos and general theme colours as well as the NZ passport. Black is very versatile, it enhances and compliments other colours, more specifically reds, greens, blues and purples, colours that Air NZ utilises on occasion. It's also a very strong colour and it allows for a more striking and symmetrical aesthetic which is the future of Airline livery. The pacific wave was simple and elegant but as NZ evolved it became increasingly random and disconnected, if they suddenly decided to change back to that livery it would be a bit of a downgrade because your going from a strong black with striking white detailing to a pretty minimalistic turquoise look with a colourful interior that doesn't match.
@@Kstodios Black has both negative and positive connotations. It can be symbolic of fear, sadness and depression. But it's also a very strong and versatile colour. Because of its neutral tone it's used in a variety of ways and in various patterning, therefore Its symbolic of elegance and sophistication. It's a common colour used in today's modern art styles and colour themes. So it depends on how you choose to view, if you want to view black as depressing then that's on you. Either way, the pacific wave and turquoise gradients are no longer compatible with the Air NZ of today.
@Kstodios if that colour were used as the primary for Air NZ livery it again may look out of place because purple isn't exactly a colour you associate with when thinking of NZ, Air New Zealand utilises pops of purple amongst the black, that's good enough.
Creative and all but just get to the point. I like Emirates new one it’s straight forward and clear, and I feel it has a slight dig at air New Zealand 😂
Air NZ obviously didn’t get the memo with Emirates throwing shade with their to the point safety demo. The idea of having to listen to this first thing in the morning 😵💫😱 or any time really. The poor domestic crew having to listen to this a few times a day. There’s absolutely no mention that baggage must be left behind in an emergency evacuation, or how to use the evacuation slides either.
Air New Zealand sucks - booked premium economy nonstop from AKL to JFK - you cancel the flight and rebook on a stopover flight (bad enough) and won't upgrade the SF-NY leg (poor) #airnewzealandsucks

Had a similar situation, flight from Melbourne to Wellington was cancelled and I had spent $15 on a priority seat then was rebooked out of Sydney and had to fork out another $25 for a priority seat ☹️
Air New Zealand officially awarded the title of Best Safety Videos creator for the 10th consecutive year ✨
I love how they included Steven Adams. Best safety video ever!
Great to have two of our Kiwi sports stars featured, love the humour. Another win for Sport, ok, for basketball ;) and Air New Zealand ❤

Love this! Glad you enjoyed 🏀🏀 ^SS
Brilliant. Had a smile on my dial the whole way through - great to see our rangatahi, sports stars and Tom included.
We love hearing this!! 🥰 ^JO
Don’t forget malz from the rock he’s the star of the show mate
Probably one of the best safety video I've ever seen!
Love it!! 🥝 🇳🇿 🖤
Thanks Kristine! We're big fans too! 🏀✈

Short and sweet!!!
If anyone wants to know the background song it's: This Girl - Kungs Vs. Cookin' On 3 Burners
I really like this one. Probably one of the better ones in recent memory
Great Saftey Video! Can't wait to see it onboard in December!
Glad you enjoyed it! See you in December 💜 ^DS
@@airnz Thanks, I always have a great time on Air New Zealand.
Do you know how long we have to wait for the new Business class seat on the 787s?
I would actually watch safety videos if they were like this! Love it❤️❤️
Best ad in the world
Love it!!! Looking forward to savoring it on board ✈️
I've never even been on a plane but watched this for Adams. Great video
they do the best safety videos
This was very clever! Including the Adams family is brilliant.
I seen something like this on Cathay Pacific. Not a full-on story, but the prompts are also well-integrated into scenes outside the aircraft.
This is the coolest safety video ever. Great job!! 👍
Good video 😂
❤Araraurangi Air NZ

Are you going to change your livery to purple now since the profile picture.at least your adding colour.

@ but the black is depressing purple would be more asthetic

It has a dig at many airlines, alot of safety videos are like this now. The reason being is that it engages more people to view the video.
Totally agree

Cringe
Why
Because it is genuinely cringe and a waste. Poor service masked by stupid videos like this.
