When attaching the Switchblade arm, you reference 1 inch bolts for the clamp, mine came with 3/4 inch bolts instead, which are too short. I found some 1 inch stainless bolts that took care of the issue.
If you get a lot of calls about mounting the transducer, MAYBE... just MAYBE you should make a "SUPPORT" page on your website and put the info for specific models there as you encounter them. And maybe PDFs of your docs. Maybe.
The printed instructions were really bad so I hoped this would help. Unfortunately it did not help much. The camera is too far away to see what he’s doing and his narrative instructions are not clear either. You really need to do better with your installation instructions and supporting video.
Can this be configured for a gear track that goes left to right instead of inline with the kayak? I have an Old Town Sportsman 119 canoe kayak hybrid and the only gear track is in front of me, I don’t want to add any.
This video was terrible I can’t even see what he is doing or what he is using please remake a better video the instructions were equally confusing and not user friendly.
Omg I thought your written instructions were bad enough!!! This guy is contradicting the what the pictures show and not really explaining anything! Your products are great but instructions suck paper or video. Not sure which one is worse.
I shortened my transducer cable to 4 feet. It's easy. Cut, put marine heat shrink on, solder the wires together, shrink the wrap with a lighter. Boom, all that freaking extra cable gone.
I got the same fish finder but don't know what mount to get cause on your website it has a Lowrance fish finder on it does the mount connect to different brands
guys cmon. Film in a wide format that allows viewers to expand the video to full screen on their laptops. Also provide zoom-ins anytime you introduce a part
The consistency of the fit is horrible. Your instructions are trash. And those damn bolts for the blade clamp are 1/4" too short. And your mighty mount knob threads crooked. Not pleased with the process of dealing with your product. Great idea. Durable materials used, but all the downfalls make this a frustrating product to use.
Why is it so hard to find a decent instructional video on how to set this thing up?? What were they thinking when theyade this video?? Let's not zoom in on anything. We want them to be frustrated, so they don't buy Amy more Yak Attack products... smfh.
This was by far the worst kayak upgrade I’ve purchased. Instructions are horrible. If I didn’t ruin it by drilling the holes I’d send it back. I feel like I’ve been ripped off. For $280 I expected a more well thought out product.
Great video Wade!

same thing here

Guessing maybe you called?
Very nice and solid build!
Thanks for watching!
The written instructions gave me brain damage… they were so bad. Then I saw this video… come on Yak Attack.
A close up video would be nice

What is the minimum size track it has to sit on?

I have a Ram ball mount. Can I attach it to the cell block?
Yes, that works 👍
So you know the instructions suck and you do not show a close up? This video is as useless as the instructions.
Still though, the switchblade is an amazingly well preforming transducer arm!
Is that a yak attack mount I'm confused or is it a hummingbird mount that can connect to the screw on the transducer

The instructions were written by a special ed hire.
Somebody who works there read those instructions and said “this is the best we can do 😊”

The little tricky part is pretty much impossible…
Terrible instructions!!

and vertical sucks too
