Why is there even a debate? If swing (much less reverse swing) was so easy to achieve, fast bowlers would never need to spend so many hours honing their skills in the nets. Even then, only a handful of bowers have fully mastered the art of conventional swing, esp. in subcontinent conditions. There is a trait called "ability/talent/genius" evident in ppl like Immy, Waz & Waqar in the bowling department (from Pak) and Sunny, Vishy, Azhar in the batting deptt. (from Ind), just to name a few.

I ask a question here "If you could master such an art and say you adopted unfair means, which others also do (doesn't make it fair, does it) and could have been successful as well without doing it, then why do it in the first place ? The major component for reverse swing is the pace. As Imran said, why couldn’t the English bowlers swing the very same ball with which he took 6 wickets for 6 runs, that too in only 5 overs? Michael atherton tamoered with the ball, he was caught on camera. Yet no one made a fuss about it, no one called the English cheats. On the other hand, wasim and Waqar were never seen tampering with the ball, yet they were named as cheats throughout the English media.
