Had a group FT chat with my brother and his 2 kids. For kicks, each used their Apple device so we were 4. Everything was smooth BUT (something we couldn't see in your video) the window dance had me nauseous after 20 minutes. When one person speaks their window moves to the front, the others go back. Add 2 teens who go off on tangents and the windows start moving incessantly; your eyes tracking left/right/up/down.

I learn so much from your videos. Thank you. One question here, though. When you add, say, three other people, does each person also see all the people? I would think yes, because all participants will have to at least hear everyone in the conversation so I'm thinking they'll see everyone in the group as well.
Yes. Everyone sees everyone.

Hi Gary! I am unable to login to my facetime with my Apple id...it shows an activation error... however I am able to login to my face time on my iPhone with my mobile number...is there a way to login using my Apple id on both the devices...macbook and iphone...also to note is that I can't activate my facetime through Mac or iPhone using my Apple ID... preference in facetime is greyed out as well from the drop down menu of facetime on the top left of screen...your help will be appreciated....thanks

In this video the device names don't come into play. Do you mean the fact that I'm logged into different devices using different Apple IDs? I only do that for demo purposes.

I really think that this UI on Mac doesn’t feel very Mac like. Those buttons are huge for a pointer in the Mac. Do you think that this design is a Catalyst app ?
Yes, kinda. It is definitely an app that is designed to feel the same across macOS and iOS.
My issue is that I can't really turn my camera on, so people see me like the icon... HELP!
If your camera isn't working, you'll need to contact Apple for support.

It is part of the OS, so update iOS, iPadOS or macOS to get the latest version of FaceTime.

i have an appleid but facetime and iMessage on macOS doesn't allow me to successfully signin. do these apps only work if you have used appleid to signin to an iPhone at some point in time?
No. You don't need an iPhone to use FaceTime. You can do with with just an iPad or a Mac.
@@macmost so for FaceTime ones appleid never had to be associated with a mobile number was used in an iPhone you just need apple hw. The same is not true for iMessage correct?

In what way, specifically? There have been several articles and concerns about this recently, and Zoom has addressed all of those issues with updates. Some of those were non-issues, like starting a chat without a password means people can access with no password (true for any chat).

does group face time not work if your account is not from a 978 number because I cant do group face time on my laptop and I think it because my old android phone number is my iphone number which is 781
