What fun! Always good to see you pop up in my recommendations! Just sorry I couldn’t make it back to my home town for the weekend! 🤷♂️ P.S. Steve is absolutely right. We DO love him! (And the charming Mrs. Audiophiliac, too, of course!) ❤❤❤
Steve, just seeking your advice about the Pure Audio trio 10 and or the duet 15 ? It seems you were in favored the trio 10 that you said had the edge when it came to openness and sound stage. Your thoughts Do you know the cost of each thank you JP
An interesting conversation. I'm 53y.o and am planning to sell my Magico speakers and replace them with still high end speakers, but speakers with paper cones and silk dome tweeers & pair them with a Class A amp noted for its quietness and good low level detail. So I think my taste in equipment is changing with my age. I'd also like to setup a small second system with some tubes for a more relaxing sound. Yeah I must be getting a bit older.
Have an adequate system in order to connect with the music at home, and then go to as many live shows as possible. Live sound has gotten better and better over the years--from big venues to small!
it is illustrative that the first thing the man talked about was people, not high fidelity. I greatly appreciated his description of the goals of hi fi. I rank good hearted clever men right up there with good women in their ability to one day save the world.
The main difference between younger and older listeners (not talking frequencies) is the amount of life experience (hurt🤔?) which get old geezers more easily moved🎶💫

I'll take your word for it, I wonder if my system is the exception to the rule of reflecting one's personality. Cost is often a buying trigger for me, whereas an audiophile will pay more to get exactly what is wanted.

I love Steve but holy heck does he hate movies. Always trashing them over music. Well you can love both and gets systems that transport you into the recording session and back into the movie. A great stereo or home theater system combined with a great 4K TV is just the best of both worlds!
I think he was addressing the subconscious response to a linear event verses an effect that depends on the persistence of vision. Get on his good side and mention that before digital, movie soundtracks were optical analog playback systems. And those big old movie speakers are still among the best ever, if you have the room.
First time on your channel, all thanks to my Steve Guttenberg alerts. Subscribed immediately. Very good interview style. Keep it going.
Steve, you are the “rock star” of the audio world! 😀. Keep up the great work.
Thanks so much!
His ego just inflated like a hot air balloon
The goose bumps are great.
CC -- that was a really good impromptu interview. I've met Steve; he doesn't suffer fools. He showed you a lotta respect. Fun to watch.
A great interview. Steve has so much insight.

Very nice heart warming interview
Steve's dressing style is so cool...love that guy!
These quick interviews from AXPONA are gold.
Quick? Good though.
True enough, we love this guy!
Steve’s THE man!!!!
“ We’re just gonna make shit up…that’s what we do.” Classic and why you and Herb are the best!
Very cool for a hallway impromptu.
Nice chat, thanks!

That shirt was stopping people in their tracks.

Can’t find anything about Amp and Sound Horn Speakers? Did I hear Steve correctly?
I think he was refering to Ampsandsound
It is all about the goosebumps!!
Jimmy Buffett was the master of escapism.
Steve is on point about bright/airy and freqs associated with them. Them crazy ytbers and expert ytbers expressing all wrong info it’s hilarious.
it does seem notable that they all dress so remarkably alike, for men presenting as big thinkers .
Steve isn’t too bad. But you do bring up a good point.
Dolby Atmos: for movies, not for music.
For sure.
How can Steve hear anything with those 75 year old ears?

Looks like a fine place to micro dose!
Why is it always guys? Why don't women like stereos?
Because they don’t need a stereo to get into contact with their feminine side😉
