I'm creating a visual checklist tool so every beginner user can check each control but at the same time see where it is located...Thanks for your video, I will put you in the credits..
The accident you mentioned about the pitot tubes freezing during flight is the Air France Flight 447 crash. There are more elements about the accident than just this, but it was one of the trigger events of the accident.
Good infomation but touching on navigation without actually explaining what/why you are doing this causes ALOT of confusion, I know this is a 'start up' video but dancing around different websites with all different infomation and proceedures throws the entire video into an unfollowable mess
X-CHECK Its not the 'noob' part of it and I think you miss my point. My point is you discuss things not relevant to the situation or if they are relevant you do not explain them at all and expect people with little sim experience, or in my case last time I could do all this stuff was in MS2004. I dont think a 'noob' video would help, as that just adds another video in the pool of thousands of broken up videos. Im sure plenty of people want a straight forward, clear cut explaination about things they need to know, Ive spent almost all of the day just trying to set up a game (which you really shouldnt have to do considering the $$$ but whatever) just trying to figure out HOW to fire up, Navigate to airports using correct channels, and initiation an ILS landing. All the videos Ive watched including yours all touch upon topics from other aspects of this task without fully explaining systems and procedures.
I believe I do understand your point, but I think the complexity of aviation is being ignored, you really never stop learning, and in a start up scenario, the amount of thing you can expand on is absurd! (Altimeter, pressurization, lights, hydraulics, electricity, flight management systems, navigation, emergency procedures, physical limitations, temperature... and the list goes on and on, it is very difficult to know when and why to expand on a certain topic, and sometimes, my ignorance prevents me from doing so. That is why I think a noob friendly video can be a good idea to set new comers into the right track. Best wishes!
X-CHECK Very valid points, I think one thing not pointed out to begineers is to start small! For me controlling an aircraft is easy, its all the systems and navigation stuff that getscrazy. So i jumped into a Cessna and flew around learning ILS approachs, IFR flying, VOR navigation All the basics for big airliners, and i had a ball!
4:10 its the story with an airfrance aircraft if im not wrong so it was flying over the Atlantic ocean and the "little guy" (idk whats its called) froze and the autopilot stopped working (the captain went for a nap) so the first officer and copilot got confused and as you mentioned the aircraft stalled and it crashed
Great video! Just so you know, Pitot is actually pronounced PEE-Toe :) just for future reference! And they actually measure stagnation pressure, which having a reference static pressure means the computer solves for dynamics pressure, thus enabling the computer to be able to solve for your velocity! Once again thanks for the video!
The AoA sensors have nothing to do with the pitot system (pronounced pee-tow, not pai-tot), but it also needs to be "de-covered". The pitot system senses air-pressure, giving you altitude and airspeed. Other than that, great video, even if you digress a bit much. ;)
It is appreciated that you took the trouble to make this tutorial, however, it would have been even better if you had done a dry run first so that you were famiiar with the aircraft before filming. I don't know how well the FMC follows complex inputs but in the route you completely ignored the SID and input direct to DAG which is not very accurate for busy KLAX airspace. The SID should be accessible via the DEP ARR button on the FMC (if enabled).
it is normal that sometimes procedures order changes?... for instance i have XChecklist, and it is slightly different than yours, but works too... Thanks.
I want to buy the game but i am not sure if i will manage to play it, because i have no idea about flighiting. Great video and pretty helpfull. Keep up with good work and more guides!
Great info but... perhaps review before recording as it seemed very much as if you just winged it? I really like and appreciate your content but this was hard to follow. I don't want to sound ungrateful because I am just learning and you are a HUGE help!
Any idea why when i go to set up my navigation for my flight path it keeps saying " key not active" when i try an input KLAS and KSAN as my destinations? Thanks guys
Hi! I'm starting out with flying. Can you do a video on finishing this flight so I can see how it's done? I looked at your other series although I am still confused a bit.
Hey there, so I started playing x plane 11 and really like it. I'm not a professional pilot, but I am trying to learn how to fly in acceptable terms. I've followed your checklist available in pdf format, but the one issue I still have is with the hypoxia. I know it has to do with the pressurization system. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Screen goes dark after about FL180.
Crosscheck, Thank you, I love your videos.. and you sound like a really nice guy, I'm sure your friends appreciate you. I also have the 727 and the Rotate MD80, so I have lots to figure out lol. I'm still looking for a good video on an FMC tutorial, and autopilot ILS approaches.
wow thanks x check. this video has helped out loads. just 9je think is that the thumbnail says b738 instead of b737m was this your intention or. pls reply
X-CHECK oh ok, makes sense. u r the only big ish UA-camr who has actually ever replied so cheers. keep up the great work. i have pretty much learned to fly the b737-800 from scratch just watching your videos so.
Man i dont understand, you take a website where you put some codes i dont even know where they come from, all the rest is easy, but if you dont say where to get this codes how can i know what i have to put in there
X-CHECK yes i wanted to do a serious flight even im new to this game, so yes, can you tell me where i can find the full navigation tutorial? Sorry for my english and thank you :)
The checklist works fine for the 737-800 Zibo mod. Can you do a tutorial of the FMC in that exact aircraft? You can find it by searching: boeing 737 modified.
When you choose your airport of preference, click on "customize" at the top right corner. At the bottom, you will see a selector that allows you to begin either at runways or gates. Should be straight forward once you find it.
Bro, i bought xplane11 4 days ago and i started with this plane. (i can obviously fly cessna)
U can t imagine how much u'll help me with this video!
I'm creating a visual checklist tool so every beginner user can check each control but at the same time see where it is located...Thanks for your video, I will put you in the credits..
Mikeh Miiikeh great idea
Where can i find it
Has this been made yet?
The accident you mentioned about the pitot tubes freezing during flight is the Air France Flight 447 crash. There are more elements about the accident than just this, but it was one of the trigger events of the accident.
The accident you are referring to is Air France flight 447 in 2009.Ice crystals blocked the pitot tubes and gave false readings to the crew
Did you ever found the pneumatic pressure gauge?..more importantly do you have any aviation experience?
Checklist link doesn't work.
What about Cabin Pressure? I keep blacking out mid flight and I don’t know what to do
How do you turn the displays on (the flight computer etc)? Mine are not on when power/battery is turned on and Ive looked everywhere
Good infomation but touching on navigation without actually explaining what/why you are doing this causes ALOT of confusion, I know this is a 'start up' video but dancing around different websites with all different infomation and proceedures throws the entire video into an unfollowable mess
Soon I will be making a n00b tutorial into flight sim c:

The default sucks , you need the ( free ) ZIBO version , that is so much better , almost all switches work will work then !

When you buy the game for 65EUR, and you can't even play the game.
my situation just like you said
I think you guys just consider it the wrong way. The game is about you find out what to do :) Have fun in learning.
Just to be clear its not a game xD
L a p t o p 100
It’s not a game

New videos of full flights coming up!
the bootsie123 check my channel for such xplane 11 videos. From cold and dark to landing and closing up airplane
Start with a GA plane first, you have to learn to walk before you can run.
go to Jeff faviaono
How do you spawn at a gate?

Does the TCAS work on this plane? I can't figure how to turn it on, I have it in TA/RA mode but don't get any alerts.
You used the wrong sid chart, this video is like 8 months old so it doesn’t really matter though.
How would you use the X-Plane ATC menu to use this flight plan?
wow thanks x check. this video has helped out loads. just 9je think is that the thumbnail says b738 instead of b737m was this your intention or. pls reply
+Drishal MAC2 the ICAO for the boeing 737-800 is B738. C:
X-CHECK oh ok, makes sense.
u r the only big ish UA-camr who has actually ever replied so cheers. keep up the great work. i have pretty much learned to fly the b737-800 from scratch just watching your videos so.
Glad my videos have helped you! c:
X-CHECK do you prefere Airbus or Boeing
Checklist Doesnt Work
Please make a full flight with 737. Will be extremely helpful for me.
+Placido Vitale Neto I already have a full flight on a 737, but will be doing another one soon
X-CHECK thanks man
4:04 You mention an accident. It was Air France 447 from Rio to Paris on a A330-200.
Actually, he talks about frozen AOA sensors happened to XL Airways A320 during a test flight.
Just look up what happened to flight 447.
AF447 had frozen Pito Tubes.
Nikola16789 yes Air New Zealand a320. Frozen sensors. The pilot did the stall test to low. He did it at 4000 feet instead of 14000
Can you please give the link so I can download your checklist? Thank you!
I have your checklist for this, but can you make one for the 747 as well? Would be awesome😊
Sure thing!
Whenever i fly, i get the cabing altitude warning and then i black out. how do i fix that?
Also it says flight altitude and landing altitude in a panel behind the bleed air switches. Set that
Thanks for this - really appreciate it
Hold it down for 3 seconds
i want update x plane 11 to 11.25 help me
Man i dont understand, you take a website where you put some codes i dont even know where they come from, all the rest is easy, but if you dont say where to get this codes how can i know what i have to put in there
This is a start up tutorial man, not a navigation tutorial, you can check that one out if you want to understand what is going on there.
X-CHECK yes i wanted to do a serious flight even im new to this game, so yes, can you tell me where i can find the full navigation tutorial? Sorry for my english and thank you :)
The video arrives this week on the start-up of the Zibo 738? :)
Could you do this again in VR XD.
I did it all but i didnt know how to set throttle to reverse in vr
The checklist works fine for the 737-800 Zibo mod. Can you do a tutorial of the FMC in that exact aircraft? You can find it by searching: boeing 737 modified.
ZIBO mod videos are coming soon! c:
X-CHECK
Nice
What did you use to create your checklist?
This is a long as tutorial 💅
X-check your xp11 its from steam? how do you updated ? please help :( that acident was DC10 from turkish
Thanks for the info man! I don't have the steam version, but you may find some useful info here: goo.gl/PK5jjG
X-CHECK thx os much nad your welcome but one thing does the Version come to steam too?
great vid 👍
+Maxtorym thank you!
what is your gtx 1080 model?
How do you pressurize the default 737?
Just set the crz alt on the press unit c:
when i switch my apu to on nothing happens ? does anyone know a solutionfor that ?
Did you put it on START? Hold it for 3 seconds and it should start up.
as he said...you have to hold it for 3 seconds and the APU should build up power on its own
Make sure your apu bleed air and apu generator are switched on
Can you also do a zibo ?
a lot has changed since your last zibo video
Zibo startup coming up on the weekend!
Thx man!
cant wait!!!!
How to start at the gate instead if the runeay please help
When you choose your airport of preference, click on "customize" at the top right corner. At the bottom, you will see a selector that allows you to begin either at runways or gates. Should be straight forward once you find it.
Thank you soooo much I neede this
Hey your English improved a lot lol
I'm confused on the departing runway thing
You don't need to use SIDS and STARS. Just select your desired runway for departure and arrival.
How do you use the VNAV ?
This weekend I'll be uploading a video on the 737 using VNAV
Pitot......pronounced "pee-toe"......goofy French word.
We only want the startup not navigation
I just got the game and every time I turn on the battery, my Nav systems don’t work
how do you calculate v speeds? or program them into fmc?
Air france 447 over atlantic from Brazil crash because of the pipes tube was frozen
AF447? 4:11
It would be cool if they release this game online haha
28:26 engines :)
LOL my computer sucks it’s literally all lag but it’s not the laggiest game I’ve played I think that’s sad
I thought executed every step correctly until my engines exploded about 5 minutes after take off😂🤣
Probably you put full throttle which caused this
It is important to talk like mad....?
their is a mod out for the defult 737 the mod is called zibo much better 737 defult for x plane
That is awesome! I will be taking a look on that very soon.
No hate though
You don't really sound like you know what your talking about.
Speed up and stop studdering
Zibo
25:37 like a chicken)))
Can somebody please answer... how do I turn the nose wheel??
hi, i wanna know why we can't see the yoke in 747 ?
akatsuki 78 'y' shows and hides the yoke
