Had to go back to 6:50 as the house looked small next to the man, until the next scene! These houses are absolute beauty, I can feel nothing but jealousy and shock as to how wonderful it is there and how it must feel to live there. The 1950s and 60s were amazing, sometimes I wish to live then, or at least have society like that nowadays. Thank you, British Pathé!
"This magnificent windmill... on the road from Leamington to Warwick". Visiting Chesterton Windmill would require a considerable detour if you were travelling between the two towns.
Go to these places today and there maybe more traffic and more tourists, but basically they are the same. I'm lucky to live nearby, and can visit often.
Long before major parts of the street fare were inundated with every type of inapplicable modern shop front business and many traffic streets paved over. A medieval form of Disneyland walk around.
Ah, ye old English towns , a bygone dream on how lives were so simple and life uncomplicated. WTF went wrong with England? Oh yes, progress!! It maybe, that some of the old towns and buildings remain the same, its just over time, the people changed for the worst!
The biggest change to the decline of England has been ...lack of discipline....too many immigrants who are of little or no value swamping systems etc...I could go on but....
Sadly there isn’t many places like that left in England anymore. We all know the reasons why, those who haven’t got their heads buried in the sand that is. Lovely to see though. 🏴🤘🏻
Comment about the lack of Bustle in Bourton makes me laugh! Try to go there today you will most certainly find bustle hurry and a distinct lack of car parking spaces!
Wow.....golden era..... people living in the jannat without competition without any kind of tension 😜 tax free life and and passing their live under very low mortgage....

Such beauty! Those places still vibrate with their own periods. Absolutely spectacular!
