I just looked up David Gillespie. He and his wife Ann who is shown in the film created their company together, he was a television set designer and she was a artist who did many different things in her long life including having 3 children, doing an MA in fire art therapy for children. She nearly died of an aneurysm but recovered and was able to live alone. But this film is from 1966 so let’s not mention her name at all. But I’m mentioning it!
In December 1969 I had a three-week job painting dioramas for the reptile cages in Antwerp zoo. I had to work at night. My way into the intimidating challenge was to paint in washes all over the surface. These washes would suggest landscapes. However, the zoo authorities - including the director M. Tabac - came and saw what I had done and got into a terrible state about it. They phoned my boss, David Gillespie, in Dippenhall, UK. “We are extremely worried by what your assistant has done,” they said. “He’s made a terrible mess.” David Gillespie - Capricorn, always supportive - explained that I was "an artist”, not an illustrator (?) and all would be well and he was confident that “the mess” would be transformed into satisfactory landscapes to their liking. They were and all was well. I’ve had trouble of one kind or another all my life. No one understands me. Doesn’t matter what it is. Here are David and Anne Gillespie in 1966.

We saw so little of the finished spaces or “homes”. All the prep and two homes!? This was so disappointing.
Really, this was a bit of promotion for the exhibition. They wanted to tempt the viewer into buying tickets to see for them selves.
