Beaches, coastal cliffs, dunes, forests, beautiful farmland, bogs, lochs, rolling hills to rugged mountains, the lazy Don and the lively Dee rivers, cascading waterfalls, castles, beautiful coastal fishing villages and much more....don't think a day goes by without me feeling incredibly grateful for living in this corner of the world and as a photographer you're never let down no matter what the weather throws at you, thanks for promoting this special place

Not only a fine photographer, but a fine actress as well! That was a great way to end it - not that anyone is going to be put off by your promotion of your workshops, but it does serve as an amusing commentary on some *other* channels (which shall remain unnamed) where it seems the content/self-promotion ratio is falling rapidly.

I too have discovered many locations in my surrounding area on the east coast. From the coast of Aberdour up to Bow Fiddle Rock and beyond there’s plenty to photograph. I enjoy visiting the locations I discovered throughout the seasons to get different shots in different conditions.
Keep doing your videos, and don’t have doubts about your work
Kim, I honestly don't know what that last minute was all about. Maybe you think you are rushing ahead too quickly? No, and don't doubt yourself or your capabilities - you are a great ambassador for Scotland and your videos are a highlight of Sunday morning for so many of us. I just wish our country had more like you; a young person with belief in their country and themselves, and with the ability to take that forward.

Kim stay positive and focused and everything will be fine, your enthusiasm and natural talent will win through we all put ourselves under unnecessary pressure never feel you have to commit to doing a weekly vlog, I'm sure all who follow you will understand.

It is hard to imagine being put off by your efforts. Maintaining income is always a challenge and anything that will allow you to keep producing great videos and useful information is fine. Your way of looking at the world is translatable to anywhere. Those with access to Aberdeenshire certainly benefit, but those with access to different landscapes and cultures are also getting value from you. Keep going.

Nice one Kim, no we are not going off your videos or you, the fact is we cant get enough of them! Scotland is so lucky to have you, you bring so much pleasure to people, I have been to the west side of Scotland Oban and it was minus 15deg.....and when I was working I drove through Aberdeenshire with out stopping (mistake) but that was a longtime ago, I dont suppose I will get up that way again thats why you videos are so important to people like me, thanks for sharing.....

I love the east coast of Scotland so much! It will be our third trip in August and we are staying in Peterhead this time. Previously, we explored Inverness, Embo, Wick and Orney. The highlands are gorgeous. I cannot wait to explore Aberdeenshire!!

Rattray is my favourite place to take photos at. always different like you say.
Fantastic stuff. Your enthusiasm and positivity can't fail to get us out exploring with our cameras, not just in Aberdeenshire, but anywhere. I'm only a couple of hours away from Aberdeen so once I get my dates sorted I will try booking a workshop.

Also I’ve been looking at maybe taking part in a photography workshop and can’t believe I’ll miss yours in Spey Bay by one day! :(

You mentioned Ed, who has been conspicuously absent for a while. He always seemed painfully shy. Is he behind the camera or no longer following you on your adventures? Looking forward to the ebook. I've convinced my wife we need to go to the UK, so I just have to get one of my kinds finished with college so I can afford it! :)
He's very shy! He's been behind camera in a few of my recent videos. You may spot him in a few clips in my most recent video shot at Elgin Cathedral. You certainly do - I hope that you make it over here one day. You'd love it :)
Interesting guide KIm. The lighthouse at Rattray is a great place to visit hover the road to it is a nightmare, or was the last time I went with deep potholes.
It sure is and yes...pity about the state if the road. It's still full of potholes :(

I haven't got a plan for that yet but would be great to make an Outer Hebrides e-book one day! I will have to go and explore the other islands first though (only been to Harris and lewis so far).
Just checking up on you. Have you seen “Local Hero” yet? No? Watch it, for crying out loud. If you like quirky, as you seem to, it is the very definition of quirky. And the music by Mark Knopfler is a bonus.
You can stop panicking now Richard- I have seen it!! I watched it a few months ago. Was interesting to see Pennan a few decades back and the story behind the film was very cleaver. Glad I finally got around to seeing it :)
