I found an optibike r8 E bike out for free but havnt got it to work yet. Supposidly it was like a 15k bike when new. Im afraid its going to catch my shop on fire i store it way out in the woods lol The thing about it is all the electronics are way up by the neck inside the body and the only access is up through the hole in the bottom by the cranks. Got to do a bicycle enema on it
Funny I basically did the same thing, I got hit by a van driving through Cambridge MA and handlebars broke now I have an e3 code I can’t get rid of, replaced the display I think I need a new controller
I am impressed you got it to work, good job.
Thanks Gary

Might be as simple as a broken throttle like this one. I usually charge this outside.

With no battery in the scooter spin the front wheel for a minute or so and the display should turn on
I did fix it, it was the throttle.
How do you take the speed limiter off?
I didn't. I think 19mph is stock speed.
