As a non native english speaker i find this show the most "honest" one ive ever seen, the way they handle the scripting/phrasing/timing of each punchline its just awesome
I think it's because (besides the clothes) their looks and mannerisms don't change when they're acting. Mac doesn't have a different haircut from Rob, and Charlie doesn't do a funny voice. Compare that with Danny DeVito, who always has frazzled hair and thick glasses in IASIP.
Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson Mostly good points, but I think Rob's hair is pretty different here vs. the show. It's usually slicked back all the way (or floppy in the front, in a few seasons); not parted like this.
This show is incredibly under appreciated. It is probably the funniest series I have ever watched, and the fact that a lot of people have never seen it is really strange.
It took me awhile to watch it because I needed to watch several episodes in a row and from the beginning of the series, but once I did that I was hooked. Thank you Hulu

I respect these two very much and greatly admire their approach to script writing. I think the entire cast are extremely talented writers and actors. In regard to featuring their wives in the show, I got the most endearing feeling when I found out "Mac" was married to "Dee" and "Charlie" was married to "The waitress" in real life! I have LITERALLY watched this series from Season 1 episode 1 to the VERY end over 20 times. I can quote almost any line from ANY episode. Favorite show of all time. Seinfeld is a close second, but Always Sunny just takes the cake

Because it would reach a wider audience, it would put the actors/actresses more on the map but most of all it would be bigger and maybe better who knows. You could title it ''The Gang ruins Hollywood'' and you can treat Hollywood the way the gang treats its own side characters like Cricket, The waitress etc. By the end of the film you see Hollywood in ruins. I also disagree with ''we can already do everything we want on TV so movies are pointless'' angle. You can't really.

You can see Charlie give the answers that put the boundaries of the show on themselves and not the network. He covers the ass of FX big time with what their allowed to do. They get more viewers and not so much backlash, they can do more when it comes to crossing the societally accepted boundaries set by the network. When they ask about the movie they both look at each other because its obvious they have an out plan, a movie would gross big if the network decided to put up too many barriers to the creativity. This gives them some leverage because: Easy to get enough money to cover the costs of any big producer to cover the costs of a finale if it they tried to get too racy for the network and got cut, or more likely were told they can't do something. They can do what they want now due to the viewer base. So many things they can't say because they are beholden, yet it's clear what's true if you watch the body language. I'm so happy they got big time and can now do so much with their creative freedom.
Sunny is so impressive because all these psychological analysts came into a room with self awareness and a lack of ego that let them work with each other; IASIP is a very intelligent show that constantly shows us life lessons through their mental disabilities that warp their structure and flow to amazing characters that we still can’t predict 100%

We all have them, whether it be a funny conversation with a friend in a bar or on holiday with a spouse - it’s just that we don’t keep a record of them or don’t embrace the tangents of our conversations.
