Chris Leonard Read my fucking mind! After Chevy Chase getting all butthurt on Community it is amazing to see Danny Devito stick to the script. I love this show and Frank Reynolds is one of the best characters.
Kind of was thinking the same thing too. Both were legends in the industry, then came back with new shows and agreed to be on board because they both liked the writing. Both are old, and play characters that are pretty manic. Pierce is more racist, Frank shows moments of racism once in a while, but then the split exists when Danny actually has a good relationship with the cast and crew, while Chevy, well... you know.
It's so funny to me how they derive much of their ideas for the characters from the actual persons playing and I think it is what truly makes ASIP great. Like Danny's rambling and loosing his train of thought because he's basically old (71 years) is written into Frank throughout the seasons. You can imagine how well they have come to know Danny now as opposed to 10 years ago and that shows in the character.
+Markus Ilirian dude I've seen the office in it's entirety, seasons 1-9, more than 3 times on Netflix and it never gets old. I watched it's always sunny all the way through and it was great but probably still doesn't beat the office for me. And as for Seinfeld, I never could get into it but I LOVE Larry David's Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Keith Wayne Jones Nice you got the same taste in comedies as me , Curb was amazing one of the best shows i have seen shame larry is to lazy to make another season . The office was my shit it never gets old season 1-5 comedy gold unparalleled. Always sunny is just as good ,if you binge watch i dont think you really appreciate how great the shows is . When you go back to re-watch it then you see this is a masterpiece thats what happened to me. When i saw the movie Horrible Bosses i hated Charlie's character seemed so annoying and then i watched the show and i love him. Seinfeld was the same to me i could never get into it , it was old and it had a laughing track. But trust me its just as funny as these other shows if you want to watch it start from season two. George Costanza will remind you of Larry David the charachter on the show was based on him . All the stupid shit that George says it the same as what Larry says on Curb
Danny has been interviewed on average probably everyday of his life at this point. Questions blend into questions. I'd hate to answer the same old shit at that point too
I fucking love this man. Reno91, sunny in philidelphia, guest starring as mini me in austin powers. This man is a trooper, a great comic genious and a genuine man. love you DeVito!
David Bandel They're all funny in different ways, so it depends on your sense of humor. Charlie is stupid and weird, Mac is oblivious and egotistical, Dennis is narcissistic and sociopathic, Dee is pathetic and punching-bag-esque, and Frank is filthy and scummy. I personally can't pick a favorite, but it makes sense that different people think different characters are funnier.
he's like the anti-chevy chase

I'm so happy he decided to do do this show, I always loved his acting!
John Irvine yeah man series 1 was good but i cant think about Sunny without Danny!
Poor Danny DeVito is looking old. He needs to stay in filming forever! One of my favourite actors ever!

He seems like a sweetheart.
he doesn't know how much time he has left; he's gonna get real weird with it
May he be around for many years to come
Meanwhile block the wind, he’s gonna roast that bone
He's aged like fine wine.
the shows quality got a huge boost when he started
wouldn't be the same without him but remember he isn't a writer.
Never said he was a writer, just that the show improved when he started. Maybe it's easier to write for his character?
It's because they needed funding and literally had to bring in someone well known for ratings. It turned out perfect.
It's mostly because he adds a new dynamic to the show.

Frank stuck in the coils, what a sight to behold! DeVito is the man!
Fucking love this whole crew and this show. Just started watching it 3 days ago and I'm already almost done with season 8. Man crush on Charlie Day.
+Keith Wayne Jones Yes, Charlie Day is the man!
+Keith Wayne Jones Along with seinfeld , the office the funniest show i have seen

+Keith Wayne Jones Love Its Always Sunny, Love Seinfeld, honestly never liked The Office though.
this man is an extremely intelligent and a refined actor im in awe at his character and stature impairs nothing to his merit true talenr
He does seem to be losing it a little with his age.
who doesn't
I haven't seen Danny recently, and I'm only on season 3 of always sunny so it's really weird to see him grey. I am so used to his dark hair.
He dyes it for the show :) His hair has been like that for awhile now I think.
Season 9 has been the best yet! I can't wait to have it on DVD!
I agree
@jj Raymond from a year in your future i can tell you... DVDs still exist. Your comment aged well...
@@kennymac1706 I've got it on VHS

Such a Treasure, from Cuckoos nest to Taxi and now Sunny! Awesome Actor
Dr. Mantis Tabaggon!
Amazing what hair dye can do for a new look!
Was it just me or did they film this at a Turkey Farm?
I remember when he pretended to marry Dee in the second season, it was always going to be insanely funny with him being a part of the gang.
"When I'm dead, just throw me in the trash."
i love danny
He doesn't give a fuck, no . At least he's being nice and responding with kindness to the interviewer. Danny DeVito is the shit.
danny devito is the shit in this show, well in anything
The fuckin NOISE..
HOLY FUCK how they do it...
I fucking love this man. Reno91, sunny in philidelphia, guest starring as mini me in austin powers. This man is a trooper, a great comic genious and a genuine man. love you DeVito!

Dang, that did sound just like him. Maybe not deep enough but damn!
*When Poppins died*
What do you think we were going to do, send it to the moon?
I can hear the bird
this was hardly an interview, poor Danny was filling up dead air as best he could, where were the questions!
DONNY DEVITO
Dr. Mantis Tabaggon.
he look older off camera
Kobe Williams I think it's the hair. He obviously uses shoe polish on it during filming. KABOOM!!
+Kobe Williams I dont know i've never seen him off camera.
Let's raw dog this shit
ahh. indeed.
I hope he continues he has is own kind of humour in the show not like Charlie's but just as good
you think charlie is funnier than dennis?
David Bandel Charlie makes me laugh a lot, but Dennis makes me laugh on a deeper level with his narcissism.

Ian Bottino Exactly, the overall chemistry is what propels them into the universe of epic.
EGG!
Frank you hilarious weirdo!
What's up with his glasses? They're real... Elton....
Do they dye his hair for the show?
I guess they do.
no they leave it white
+Globbified No, he rubs it in dirt.
No, it's actually still dark and he bleaches it when they're not filming.
*Magnum Dong*
De Niros little bro
Danny Devito doesn’t play frank, Frank plays Danny Devito.
Did they dye franks hair in the show?
I think you missed the Always Sunny reference.
HAHAHAhaha did you see the play they did of that?
was he drunk- or was he doing a bit.
No, they use CGI.
Lol why does he look whiter than in the show?
he was coked up couldn't stop moving his jaw
No
TRASHMAN
He seems pretty scatter brained in this interview doesnt he?
