Not sure what his deal was in regards to getting started sooner. UA-cam was the only reason he ever became known, didn't have the money to Train maybe? All of the legit trainers didn't think he had enough talent to to invest their time into him? Never really heard why he didn't pursue something sooner.
Kimbo ALWAYS could punch! His hand speed and power for being a relative newbie to the fight game was very impressive. His problem in this sport was an overall lack of well-roundedness. His son is doing well and I hope he can be proud. RIP Kimbo.
Yup, they trained him wrong when he tried going pro. They focused on his strengths instead of working on his stamina and grappling, but he was a beast at fights like these stand up slug feats though. I mean "Tank" has earned that name but this was over quick.
He never had any cardio. We knew he couldn’t become a black belt in bjj in a year, but he definitely could have run 3-5 miles a day and hit the bag another hour. His stamina was terrible in all his fights.
@@clintperkinson2681 Don't forget what he died from...he had heart and kidney failure. He wasn't young when he started in elite XC . Having a bad heart will absolutely affect your cardio. He died rather quickly so he must have had these issues for longer than it was known. I believe that was a major factor on his lack of cardio. Plus on the street he really didn't need it. And it takes time to get in elite shape. Also he had a ton of muscle that NEEDS tons of oxygen to be functional and explosive! Not the best combination. He needed to get guys out of there in the first round similar to vitor belfort. If not, they slowly started to drown!
@@gabevillarreal96 I know why he died. It’s a shame they couldn’t diagnose him with it sooner. I’m sure he had untreated high blood pressure which led to this. There are many signs/symptoms of this problem before people die from it.

Abbot was way past his prime...lots of respect by stepping in the ring. Kimbo had charisma and a great story..but Tank in his prime would have beat Kimbo without a doubt.
Tank Abbott would have eaten him alive in the 90s and very early 2000s. Once 2005-2007 his he couldn't take a hit anymore the same thing happened to Liddell, Frye ect. The true beasts of the sport all end up having such short careers from going truly blow for blow.
@@buildurtruckurway9118 that's y Carlos Condit career is so crazy to me^ him and Matt brown had wars for years and somehow made it past their respective eras
Excuse
look at the head movement of kimbo dodging tank punches mann.. its not all about age..
Just accept the fact kimbo is more better and skillful for sure but tank look more like brawler, strong.
@@josephsss44 if you think Kimbo was better than prime tank abbot you are a fuckin dummy or brand new to the sport.
@@AMediumSizedKodiak yes everybody doesnt think..we know kimbo is better..
Kid
Can't wait for the rematch!
"The only question is what kind of tank will we see, Sherman or septic".... That was savage af.
Kimbo was a beast! I feel like CT Fletcher and Kimbo Slice could be brothers!
They All look alike.

RIP Kimbo!.. You were like a cuddly teddy bear.😊
The only think that nobody can ever beat out of Tank is a ounce of humility and I gotta admit I kind of respect his arrogant dedication.
Too bad Kimbo didnt get serious about fight 10 years before UA-cam
Not sure what his deal was in regards to getting started sooner. UA-cam was the only reason he ever became known, didn't have the money to Train maybe? All of the legit trainers didn't think he had enough talent to to invest their time into him? Never really heard why he didn't pursue something sooner.
Kimbo ALWAYS could punch! His hand speed and power for being a relative newbie to the fight game was very impressive. His problem in this sport was an overall lack of well-roundedness. He was late to the game and when he moved passed old bar fighters he couldn't adjust. Sad how he died because I truly believe that he was genuinely a good person. His son is doing well and I hope he can be proud. RIP Kimbo.
^^
Classic clash of bangers
We had so much more to see from this guy. RIP📿My friend
RIP the Champ!!! I miss Kimbo he was a great fighter🙏🏼💪🏼
LOL at "champ." At what???? Beating up unskilled foos in someones backyard??? Not even remotely to being great, LOL!!!!
@@619lefty he fought trained guys bigger than him tf out of here you get knocked the fuck out by kimbos pinky toe
@@Megatron-gl6ff no, he got beat whenever he fought anyone remotely good. And LOL, he is dead, cant do shit with any toe...
@@619lefty indeed. Kimbo isn't great fighter and his biggest win over Ken Shamrock was a fixed fight.
kimbo-street certified
Yea he can only beat up street bums certified street for sure
I was watching Kimbo when he was backyard brawling scumbags and bullies. I love this man, It breaks my heart to miss this man
Kimbo hit hard damn i miss him
Tank and Kimbo were both old fighters with the same fight IQ. The only difference was Kimbo was more determined to get to the place where Tank had already been. Would've been cool to see them go at it during their prime.
Tank Abbott is my favourite Friends character 😁
Tell your friend he got his ass whooped
Ethan lol he meant Friends the show
Tank said to the ref, "I'm ok, just let me lay here for a minute " 😆 🤣 😂
Looks like we got Septic Tank in this one, Mauro!
