This is a great video. I have 1995 ZX6R with 30k miles. Still runs awesome. Its smokes a little bit at first start, then goes away. This bike is a bitch to tune. Even from the factory the bike runs a little ratty from 1 to 4k. Then its smooths out and runs fine. But its a fine line between to adjusting the carbs, too rich or to lean. This motor loves being revved up after 10k. It comes to life like an F14. Im keeping it. She turns heads because of the age. People don't know what it is, at first glance!! Thanks for the video ,bro!

Yes sir! Absolutely terrible below 4k but comes to life nicely.

Awesome video, great job! How many miles did this bike have at the time of the valve check? Did you have to adjust any shims? Thanks!

Yes. I am about to be tearing down an 02 starting next week. One cylinder has only 60 psi.......

Thanks for the info, i am fixing a beatdown 95 zx6r i found for cheap and this helped a lot.
Any chance you'll make a carburetor restoring and setting for this little beast?

Thank you for checking out my video. I actually have a ton of footage regarding the carburetors. However, I have just not had any time to put it all together. So sadly I probably will not have anything in the near future up for this bike. I ended up swapping the motor on this bike as it had overheated at some point and the head was warped.

That spring dropped down the intake with the valve open on mine ! Got it out eventually with a small magnet 🧲. Million to one shot to.
