Thank you so much! I’ll do this after my PC arrives! (I’m still buying it because it doesn’t cost that much) I hope I remember to leave a review. 😅 I also subscribed! :)
This is a really good security tip. I check the Kamrui I bought around Apr 2023 and it didn't have these things and I don't see any unexpected apps. Still, a fresh install is probably a smart idea for these types of devices.
I got one of these for a home assistant instance. Wiped the drive and install the os and never booted to windows. Just be careful with the fan and LED cable. When I did it the above the cable was being caught by the fan and noisy as hell. Fixed and now runs quite and perfect for that use.
Were the LED strong, I bought one for my mother but her table is a bit higher than the couch so I kind of wonder if the light is going to be annoying lol, is there a way to turn off the lights?
A fresh install was a wise choice. They are a good basic design for storage upgrade/expansion but did you notice that the CPU Maxed out at 2.7Ghz? The Ad for it says 3.4Ghz.
Thanks for the review! Would this be a good solution to stream with a capture card straight from console? Or does the mini PC have to be stronger to do that because of encoding?
Inside your file permissions. You'll see an Unknown user attached to the C drive. Often with these. Bought one before to check it out, didn't have google but local account and all. Hit and miss if they are loaded with Spyware. It's clean but whatever they use really drags the performance. Wipe it. I reinstalled mine, did fine even with win11 tpm force.
i have the n100 version but yeah, wiped it and put new proxmox install on it. Works fine for my cluster needs just wish it had 2 ram slots. another con, doesn't appear to have WOL functionality
Mine isn't too weird. I doubt that the preinstalled software will be present with a fresh Windows install from an online download because the people adding this malware will be going after the easier targets, the less security aware.
I bought 3 of these for work and TWICE my credit card was compromised. They wanted me to remove my negative review on Amazon for a partial refund. FU!!!
THANKS AT 9:20. I think we can accuse of spy ware things on replies on the viewer writings. I saw a man told his hotmail account was hacked. Thank you for the chrome preinstalled ones and related Magic blablah things..
I bought and received yesterday I turn it on to check if it power on, And I see the language set up first and never clicked then turn it off. I will turn it on everyday and turn off till I feel stability
So I've been looking at this mini pc because it'd be nice to have a small Windows machine as a primary Mac user, without the bloat of Parallels and a VM eating into my hard drive space, but I'm not sure how wifi speeds work exactly. My wifi tops out around 240Mbps, and thats what I usually pull on my mac/phone, would I see similar performance from this mini pc on my network? Or would it be a quarter of the speed like yours was?
@@2legit2quitification sorry for a late reply, your internet will be no where near as good as your other devices. I would recommend getting an external Wi-Fi adapter from usb or something similar. Hope this helps!
I just bought the n97 and Im not able to connect through WiFi. I installed some Lenovo drivers and it search for networks but after a few seconds I can’t see them anymore. Do you think is faulty hardware or do you know where to get the driver? Thanks!
When you get a new computer like this don't enter any sensitive information like passwords just yet. Instead clear out the suspicious install of Windows it came with and then you should be safe. I think they would appear to be more trustworthy if they would just leave it blank and make it perfectly obvious in the product description that you mist supply your own install of Windows. It is fine if they embed an OEM key for Windows in the BIOS so that it won't ask you for one but they have no business whatsoever preloading it with suspicious software like this! If they were based here in the US everyone would sue the heck out of them for these malware shenanigans and they would be 100% right to do that too! I don't know if installing malware on computers is normal in China but here it will *NOT* fly!! It is not acceptable at all and it would make me feel a complete lack of trust and a lack of confidence in the quality of the item also. If I bought something cheap from China I would only expect it to be so fragile and badly made I swear that looking at it funny is all it takes to break it!!
I would avoid this company. There are much better options. I ran into a situation where windows got stuck booting, and the normal keyboard and hardware shortcuts for booting to safe mode (or whatever it was) didn't work because of hardware and software modifications they had made. Kamrui promised to replace my device. I sent it to them. They still have it but will not replace it.
I mean, duh? This video shows a customized version of Windows that didn't use a Microsoft account.. The point was that it was customized and the end user would have no idea to what degree.

It does seem to boost very rarely, but I've seen it go above 2.7ghz. it just doesn't do it very often..
@@shanecraigtech I'm just trying to figure out if this is good for general office work and video conference streaming.
Im interested to buy one, but i wanna use it as a pc for stream, I already have a pc for gaming

That’s the same thing I want to know.

Awesome Mini Pc.
Did you say you needed to uninstall the preloaded Win11 before loading new version on?
Hi Shane.. is this capable of doing 4K at 60Hz for a single monitor?

I hope you returned it, because you got a lemon.
to clean the drive
Boot to cmd
Enter:
diskpart
list disk
sel disk 0
clean
to make sure the disk is clean.
The wifi is probably 802.11n and with Chinese bog standard radio chips it barely goes above 300 Mbps.
where is the command prompt on the description?
wmic path softwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
@@shanecraigtech thanks. and do you think erasing all the partition and clean installing windows is good enough step fixing the issue?
can I live stream on you tube?
3:33 that looks like for an external GPU connection
would it be possible I have this computer and want to experiment with it

Going to do the same

When creating a system restore drive, can you use that to downgrade to Windows 10?

do not buy Kamrui pc as they will not honor their warranty.
Just put linux on it, job done. You shouldnt be messing bout with windows anyway, total dogsh**
You CAN customize a windows install not to ask for MS account. Educate yourself first sir
