  • Our second installment of this series shines a spotlight on ‪@BenjaminObdyke‬ Hydrogap Drainable House wrap. This product combines the water-resistive layer of a traditional house wrap with a proper gap to facilitate water drainage from behind the exterior siding.
Listen as Bryant explains what sets this house wrap apart from others and when it's appropriate to use this product on your build.

Would the Slicker Max rainscreen be a better fit if I’m using the Zip System for my exterior wall sheathing? I’d also be using vertical steel siding by Edco…. Thanks

Using this and exterior insulation, shall we skip the interior vapor barrier then so the wall cavity can dry to the inside?

Depends on what zone you are in. Zones 4 and up still require a vapor retarder. Not barrier. There is a difference. I always recommend a smart retarder.
