    Just bought myself one.
    Haven’t a clue what I’m doing with it lol.
    But got mine used/never played, for £19 (about $20).
    Feels like a French loaf in my mouth.
    Ordered a Hal Leonard how to play book.
    Another journey. 👋😎🎶

    Absolutely love my CX12s. They are airtight, loud and agile. Only downside is lips drying and therefore a little sticky due to plastic casing but you can develop a technique of regular and subtle licking. Great for fast traditional tunes and for jazz

    I was very surprised with the volume. I had to turn my Fender Twin up to full volume to even begin to compete with the unamplified CX-12. I had to stop playing it inside because it was making my drywall crumble.

    Is that an E chrom Ronnie? The other thing is the beveled mouthpiece only seems to be on the burnt orange color one. Great Vid!

    Excuse my "iggorunce" but, how can I determine the KEY of my several CX12 harps. They are quite old.....as am I.....(84) and possibly or probably need new reed plates. I haven't been using any of my Hohners in quite a long time. My hearing is pretty well shot, so the sound quality is questionable. Is it the harp or my hearing????? Can't tell which.

    Hi, thanks for the video. I want to start playing Harmonica and I've got a Blues Harp in key B as a gift from my friend and I really don't know if it's a good one to start with. I searched a little and I think I like chromatic harmonicas better that diatonic 10 hole (as I have to buy 12 of them to have all the notes!) . I'd really like to know your opinion on this. thanks in advance for answering :-)

      270 & deluxe 270 sound is much melodious then cx12 bt begs more maintenance then cx12

    • @tylerbrandon460
      @tylerbrandon460 5 років тому

      I would get the 270 deluxe. I got one from Goodwill and replaced the crack wooden comb with an eBay aluminium. Cx12 looks and sounds to much like a Piedmont blues.

    • @Raikodi
      @Raikodi 3 роки тому

      @@rajatsahu4072 But 270 has tremendous air loss. but for the sound, I dont want to keep it aside. Also its got a wooden comb which adds for rich sound . But the reeds cannot be maintained of mouth vapor condensation which may settle down in between the comb and reeds., because they are riveted instead of screws. Alsom water or any liquid to clean may effect the wooden comb. Maybe 270 deluxe has improved on that

    I want to buy a chromatic harmonica. But I am confused between Hohner CX 12 and Hohner Super 64 chromonica. Which one should I got with? Also, Can I go with Easttop brand as they are a little less expensive?

      Hi,I reside in Germany and I'm playing Since 1977.. I'm Playing Chromonica 64 280 c 16 Hole's & Meisterklasse 7565 14 Hole's & I also play Diatonic.. As for easttop go for all brass 16 Hole's it's of worth but expensive or Hohner Chromonica 64 280 c, Super 64 or Super 64 X..Suzuki chromatix 16 Hole's or Sirius.. If your budget is limited then Suzuki Songstar is the best and have less maintenance due to no valves in it you can order it online from shop in bangalore..Hohner Cx 12 is fine but it's for Jazz and has limited octave..I'm answering your Query because no other will..
      Have a nice Day..

    I Will be eager to understand the following:
    I felt that this one has a lower pitch..i mean less squeaky than usual c harmonica..is that so ?.I have a 14 hole Suzuki and I see the lowest note of that is similar to the 12 hole of cx hohner ..if that so I prefer hohner.. please help me clear my query...also how will cx tenor is different

  • @lowtone9
    @lowtone9 2 роки тому

    That has to be a CX12 Tenor. It plays an octave lower than my CX12.

      I have the CX 12 and can confirm that you can indeed place the slide the opposite way.

    • @crimsonchrome3012
      @crimsonchrome3012 5 років тому

      im glad you can change the slide to the other side .....are you playing left handed or right handed? if you are playing with the harp in your left hand you should be good to go since the harmonica is designed to be played left handed with button on right like it already is.........enjoy your playing!

    Q U E S T I O N --- Dear Sam Ash and Company - P R O B L E M THAT'S UNIQUE TO THE CX-DESIGN CHROMATICS: Unlike the traditional-style chromatics, which merely need the cover plates removed in order to re-adjust any reed, the CX design is somewhat of a problem in that the slide is difficult to hold in place to adjust & play the reeds with the housing/cover removed. Has anyone discovered a solution to facilitating such type of maintenance to the CX-DESIGN chromatics? Thanks a million for any help.

    • @cupofchange
      @cupofchange 4 роки тому

      Das ist eine chromatische- die erkennt man am Schieber. Diatonische harps haben keinen Schieber an der Seite, um in eine andere Tonleiter zu wechseln.
