- Danny James checked out the new Pioneer DJ DJM-V10 mixer. He only had a few hours with it but we wanted to showcase some of the new features like the send effects and beat fx in this house DJ mix!

Got to say I love this mixer.. Not that i can afford it 😂.. But like some one said, this mixer is aimed at djs that creates sound and music live with cdj and drum machines and other music production gear.
Thats mixer is just insane. Very good demo set too. This V10 is pushing the boundaries for a new segment. PS: awesome meeting you guys at ADE!

Why showcase a 6 channel mixer with 2 decks?? It’s like testing a f1 car in a shopping centre 😂😂
On this mixer you use the others channels to send effects directly and on this way you have more control over there. this is the reason of the six channels.
Because you need some model one/xone dj to show how to use them xD

This Is not what Pioneer want as their flagship mixer, It s a product that target a specific category of djs who create new sounds and music on the fly during their set. With this they aren t competing with the new denon s mixer it' s a totally different concept
Pioneer dj fell off. Hopefully denon will become new club standard.

Ale eh wouldn’t take much. If your in the club Circuit you’d know most clubs rent equipment, alls it would take is people selling their pioneers for denon. Then clubs would have no choice but to rent denon equipment. Which from my finding most people would prefer a sc5000 over a CDJNexus
@@EposEffekte yes i'm a dj, and It' s not about the equipment but about people's mentality but if Pioneer doesn't change anything i can see denon take the podium
the V10 is aimed at competing with mixers such as the playdifferently M1 or the A&H xone 96. It caters towards more live oriented djs.
This mixer is perfect for the DJ's like Carl Cox

They definitely took inspiration from PlayDifferentlys Model 1.... I’m impressed pioneer.... It’s a beefy digital mixer!
PROJECT ZACE I have the Model 1 and it’s is nothing like this pioneer mixer. I sort of see where you are coming from, but it’s as if pioneer have tried to copy it somewhat, without understanding what Model 1 is. This new pioneer will end up being used by most folk in the way it’s shown in this video. i.e 2 x pioneer CDJ’s.

Love the equipment. Well over €6000,- in value. That new DJM-V10 is the goods! Ignore some of the shit comments below. Probably from those who can't afford such a system anyway. Anyone who can work six decks has my vote, and if you had really long arms, you could have six CDJs 😂

Rubertoe 4 channels is perfectly enough though, i highly doubt that there has ever been a public demand for having more than 4. Literally no one asked for this shit, and whoever did is just a gearlust fuck who thinks they need the newest shit to be a better dj

Yes, if you want to stick to poineer, then this will be a good choice. The layout is quite similar to the nexus setup in terms of the locations of the buttons and faders. Otherwise, thake a look at denon, they also have good gear for a beginner dj, and their prime series is evolving quickly (definitely a challlenger to the club standard pioneer stuff)
@@MRCubeWarrior i do have to agree with this as well... Denon is working hard on its Prime series... even the Prime GO is a step forward... im actually looking more into that unit

Id love to see this beast perform ableton - Traktor hynrid configuration. Im not totally convinced it eats the competion in terms of sound clarity other than specs in black and white on paper.

Seems like only veteran Dj's know how to use pitch control. Everybody wants to nudge the platter all the time.
With turntables, yes, it's better/cleaner to ride the pitch, but with CDJs it's just easier to nudge the platter. That's my experience anyway.
The deck numbers are backwards... or not even set properly causing the "on air" lights to not react properly.

Hi, im looking to buy my first dj controller that works on rekordbox, so im not sure should i go with something cheaper like ddj 400 or maybe ddj 800 which is more expensive. I was also looking for a ddj rr because its cheaper than ddj 800 but also way older. I would like to get into djing a bit serious, so now im not shure if 400 it's going to be enough later? Can someone plese give some advice?

I dont understand why are so many People are telling what bthe DJ did wrong i dont think they can do it better with a totaly new Mixer that they hnever had used before.
Was going to say some sound sculpting on mixer sound like the rmx station was built into it. I was kinda right.
All that can be said in this instance is that hardware, marketed as 'high-end', doesn't turn an amateur into a pro and that in the video only 10% of the hardware's potential is being leveraged.

You can send affects to the channels which is what he is doing
