The two sensor gun does work well (I have one). I would like to see the 4 sensor Retro Shooter version up against a Gun4IR which I assume the upgrade is meant to compete. Also, two more things… I’d like to see this comparison IN the calibration mode app, and a comparison with no-crosshair game you’ve never played before to get a better sense of the difference. (Re-calibrating between versions makes more sense too because of the parallax.)
Both 2 sensor and 4 works well for calibration. The 4 sensor is superior to holding the calibration consistent when you move closer or further away.
Got mine, and I haven’t built a GUN4IR yet. I think you’re right, minimal upgrade except for the positioning aspect

1) Do the sensors need to be at the edge of the screen, or could they even be more far away (e.g., if you use a cabinet and cannot place them that close to the screen)? As you need to calibrate the guns anyway, do they still work then?
2) What are the two lenses for?
3) I think I only have two USB-C cables included. But all four sensors need power all the time, right?
These are mostly Retro Shooter questions, but basically, you can try the sensors in various positions as long as you calibrate after moving them. The fish eye lenses allow you to operate closer to the screen. The sensors all need to be powered in a daisy chain.
Yes there are only two USB-C cables included with the upgrade. However you should already have cables for the two sensors that came with your original purchase of the guns.
For the new 4 sensor version. What did you use to calibrate the guns? Did you use the paradors console or did you use the windows 11 app?
Calibrated on the Pandora Retro Shooter console. Worked on both the original box and the upgraded box.
Got mine. Not a huge improvement except better if you move off the calibration axis. If I could do it again I wouldn’t have upgraded my older version which worked for me better than my Sinden (don’t jump on me, I could never get it working right and hated the white border).
Still has issues reloading by shooting offscreen. Why can’t anyone get this right by building in a software compensation hack or something.
could you do a video how you have the settings configured as far as picture quality my retro kit doesn't look that clear
This was brand new out of the box, no adjustments. You can toggle the resolutions by holding down the button on the bottom of the box while turning it on.
Do the sensors hanger clips come off if you want to mount these to an at games legends ultimate arcade cabinet? I noticed the flat sensors kit you guys have seem to be intended for an arcade 1 up utilizing 12 volts while these I think are powered by usb.
The Retro Shooter sensors can be used on the ALU but cable management will be a challenge. Our sensor wires are very thin can can come out the back or bottom. Theirs are only thick cables to the side.

I’m planning to place an order today but just want to make sure I get any extra accessories I will need to utilize your IR sensors to the retroshooter kit that attaches to PC only.
@@markbusby576 You want to plug our sensors into 12 volts not USB. If there is no 12 volts to piggyback off, then a separate adapter can be used. In the ALU though, there is lots to piggyback off. We even have a new cable to tie into the marquee power so the IRs turn on and off with the power switch.
I had purchased the low profile sensors when i originally bought the kit can i just hook up both sets then.

Thanks for the demo. I already have the two cents are set up and your at games legend kit. I question would be is it worth $110 and possibly adding two of your sensors. I'm pretty darn happy with the current setup.
If it ain’t broke…. So far the difference is quite minor in our testing.

I bought the upgraded sensors today. I use the rs with your pedestal and 6 button configuration. BSA is the best!
I only have 2 sensors built into my cabinet. My only issue I have is if someone new plays (different height) or location they have to be recalibrated.
First video I’ve seen with the four sensors.
Question though, did they come out with new guns as well bc I saw in a comment you said to someone they can use the 4 ir once they upgraded guns.
Guns were updated in November, so any shipments since then will be 4 sensor guns.
Yes if the guns you purchased only came with two sensors then the guns themselves need to be upgraded in order to utilize four sensors. Trying to use for sensors with the old guns will only cause problems.

Where do the new bottom sensors plug in?
Just to power. None of the sensors need to be plugged into the Console.

Yes, they would.
How does it do with off screen reloading, like Area 51. The 2 sensor version was giving me lots of trouble getting back on screen

You have to upgrade the gun muzzles to use the 4 IR system. Retro Shooter is currently taking orders for the upgrade.

Crosshairs on Retro Shooter are very easy to turn on and off, yes.
I got mine without the pandoras box to use on a pc. Im wondering how the latency is. Can you be closer to yhe screen especially if its a small arcade cabinet
Very little latency with a PC. The optional lenses help make it work closer to the screen.

All the Integration Kits we have shipped since the Retro Shooter announcement have 4 sensors included.
I ordered the extra two sensors and gun cameras as soon as i saw your email. Four sensors should allow you to move around and still keep your calibration, have you tried this?
Yes, it holds the calibration much better when changing locations, we have confirmed that.

@@BuyStuffArcades thank you! Are your IR sensor cables long enough to install on a 40 inch TV screen? That’s what I currently have my Retro Shooter hooked up to. Also, I have the pre 10/30 guns (came with 2 IR sensors), so will the four sensors work with and improve tracking on my system?
@@UCLAKoolman The wires are long enough, yes. You can only use 2 of the sensors with the 2 sensor gun.
