Can you make a video on how to animate a puffer jacket. Because I’m doing a whole collection with puffer dresses, jackets, etc. and I have a ton of questions when it comes to animating things with pressure
I want to select multiple pattern segments using my shift key, like you showed in this video for making several internal lines. It used to work in previous CLO3d versions, but it does not seem to function anymore. I am working on a Mac. Any clue anyone what I am missing?
Hello there, a quick question. I have created a pattern within the program having in mind an elastic fabric, which means that it is narrower in the waist and hips in measurement, because of the elasticity. However, it looks very tight on the avatar. Is there a way to input this parameter so it is depicted in the avatar?
Hi. If you are on the newest version of CLO you can use Soft body Avatar to show where a garment is tighter and compresses the body But for the fabric, do you mean the entire material is stretchy? Or that elastic is applied at the waist?
@@CLO3D I mean the entire material is stretchy, which means the entire pattern is narrower in dimensions than what a stable fabric would be, but on the avatar it looks just small and not represented right. How can I put in the parameter of the stretchy fabric?
Hi There. Without images it can be hard to tell. We would recommend joining the CLO Discord so that you can add images and our designers can offer the best advice :)
My soccer ball is not displaying in black and white and the gizmo tool selects the individual segments instead of the whole object, even though it is sewn and inflated
Hi. What does the soccer ball look like? This may be due to the Fabric view you currently have selected in the 3D Vertical Toggle Menu. Make sure you are on Thick Textured Surface The Gizmo will only select the pattern pieces you click on, not what they are also sewn to. You can Hold Shift to select multiple or use the short cut ctrl + a to select all. You may also find joining our official Discord helpful as you will be able to add images to your questions there
When the button is properly fastened it will appear with a lock in the 3D window. To unfasten simply clicking on the button in the 3D window should unfasten it.
Hi. IF you can visually turn on/off red Internal Lines by going to the 3D vertical Toggle (upper left corner of 3D window) Garment Display > Show Internal Lines
If you have a lot of Internal Lines you want to add puckering to, Right Click in the 2D window and select Lock All Pattern Outlines. You can the use the Segment Puckering Tool and Marquee Select the Internal Lines all at once; the puckering will then be applied all at once. This also works with Topstitch.

@@mohammadbishalahmed8784 This may be due to a number of things. Quickly I will suggest using the Hi Res Garment Tool. Thank you so much for your detailed information. Literally a godsend

After I changed the fabric type to silk and simulate it shrunk the puffs. Do you know why?

Its ridiculous that we have to re do our work when applying internal lines to a puffer jacket after inflation.. I hope this changes soon.

Thanks.. Very useful and practical.. 🌷🌷
Most welcome 😊
Is there a way to unfasten the button? The fasten button tool won't unfasten for some reason
When the button is properly fastened it will appear with a lock in the 3D window. To unfasten simply clicking on the button in the 3D window should unfasten it.
Why I don't get the pressure in all the lines?? Only some parts get puffy??
They key to success with technique is to create all the internal lines before creating the Layer Clone and then adding pressure.
How do I get rid of the internal lines showing in my 3d garments

With pressure the key is positive and negative pressure amounts.
@@CLO3D ive got a negative pressure amount on the under layer and positive on outer layer, still no puff

The techniques are transferrable if you learn basic pattern making skills.
