Ten years ago today, you first graced the earth with your appearance. You changed my life for better. I made friends I'm still close with, I made hundreds of levels and thousands of silly objects. I played, and I played, and I played my heart out. I learned the beauty of sharing, creating, and playing with other people. I was an eight year old kid then. Because of you, I meandered through a peaceful garden, I toured the great African Savannah, I partied my way through Mexico, going to a wedding and wandering the countryside along the way. I raced through the metropolis, I traveled to Japan, and I even got to visit India, and eventually got to trek through Russia. I did all of this with friends, more than I ever thought I would have as a lonely kid. There will never, ever again be another game with as heartfelt of a message as you, my old friend. No game will ever have the charm of your music, or the gentility of your curators, or the freedom you provided to me and thousands of children, teenagers, and adults everywhere. So much has changed since I first laid eyes upon you. I'm a better person because of you. You taught me to see the beauty in all things, to love everything I created, and to see everyone as a friend. Happy 10 year anniversary, LittleBigPlanet. Thank you for making my childhood creative, imaginative, and positively wonderful.

I keep having to remind myself of these days. Simpler times, playing LBP, riding bikes with the kids in the neighborhood (I had a scooter, I didn’t know how to ride a bike) and we’d talk about stuff like LBP. Back when the PS3 Was the newest console and was incredible. Back when we didn’t have a care in the world. Now, I’m dealing with a bunch of emotional and physical issues like Work and school and a girl (Who recently rejected me), and this make me… happy. I feel like a kid again
I remember getting lbp2 7 years ago, met a guy who introduced me to all his friends. We are all from Italy, just different parts of it. Last April, I finally got to meet all of them at an anime con. I will never forget that day, nor all the days spent with them on this game and on Minecraft. It's amazing how such a simple game made everyone be friends, and that it made me meet some true friends. I live in a pretty bad place, drugs, smoking and beer are all used by people my age, and I am just 14. I never made any friends due to the toxicity of the people there, but this game made me meet the people I can really call my friends. I'm now going to high school, made other friends, and one of my lbp friends became my girlfriend, we've been dating for a year. All thanks to this game. Without it, I would've had no people back then, and I would just be the same shy and quiet kid I was 7 years ago. Not only did it make me a better person, it made me meet some amazing people, and it made me a creative person. Me and my lbp friends now want to make a comic, and are all working hard on it, and all this creativity couldn't have been achieved without this game. As part of my childhood, that made me change into a better, more creative person, and as part of a franchise that will never be forgotten by many, LitteBigPlanet will always be one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life. Thanks LBP.

It's weird how games like this define nostalgia and childhood memories now. Less and less people are looking back on Mario and Zelda etc. with memories because no children seem to play them anymore. That's why I'm really worried for 10 years from now when people will look back on games like call of duty with nostalgia...where has the magic gone! :)

You're 10 years old, you're excited to play this new, cute, looking game called LittleBigPlanet on the PS3. You power it up, start in the gardens, hearing this music playing, never knowing it'll mean so much to you in the future..
I can't help, but smile. I adore this wonderful game. I just hate that the community is dead and literally no one plays it anymore the online levels are flooded with garbage that no one wants to play. I mean seriously. What the hell happened? LBP1 and LBP2 used to be the go to game to have fun and talk with friends, but now it has faded into obscurity with way too many spinoffs and then it didn't help that it's mother company Mm Media Molecule dropping it... The third game had a shell of a beloved game, but lacked the heart that Mm put into it. I'll forever cherish the days of LBP1&2 those were the days. Memories last forever, but the games they are of do not.
They are creating this new trash game called "Dream" I think. Te game is complete garbage and is like the budget down version single player game of lbp and everyone thinks it's great and in my opinion is bad and it will never be the same..
@@zzz-zp2gc I've never heard of the game, but even if it's good the charm of lbp will not be there. Lbp is a beautiful accident. Trying to recreate the magic intentionally is impossible. While I think you're gonna be right, I don't make baseless assumptions. Until the game releases it's hard to say either way. As for me, I always watch gameplay before I buy new games. Generally unless the game is being made by a good company you can probably go ahead and assume the worst, but as we saw with DOOM 2016, a game everyone expected to be a flop like Duke Nukem Forever turned out to be the best fps of that year.
A 10 year old game's community would perish we've all grown up now I'm 17 it makes me so sad but still there's a smile on my face that I'm fortunate to have played this game😄

Ahhh the memories. I miss the good old days of LBP! My brothers would NEVER play with me ‘cause they thought that COD was better, but this game sparked my imagination so much that I might actually cry from the nostalgia!
Sackboy: A Big Adventure has been announced. Seems LittleBigPlanet has made a comeback. While it is more of a spinoff, it's good to know that Sackboys' still got some creativity and fluff left in him.
My little brother was practically my best friend growing up. This is one of the many games we played together. We loved playing games and watching cartoons together. It wouldn’t have been the same without him
This was one of the pieces performed during Playstation in Concert in London recently! It was amazing to hear it performed by a full orchestra, and the whole brass section played the flute part, which was stunning. Out of all the pieces played that night, it seemed like the orchestra had the most fun playing this one 😊

I made long friendships and always wondered what happened to my old Lbp friends.
There is something incredibly special about LBP. And I mean specifically the 1st game. Even if the sequels made the experience better, something about the 1st always hits different. The possibilities were endless, the creativity brimming, the imagination bright. This game is the essence of childhood, in the game's very design and my personal nostalgia. It was like being a kid again, when I was the mere age of 13. This was (and in my opinion, still is) the penultimate next-gen game. Nothing could come close to this. This song captures it all.
The game that’s never managed to slip my mind not once in my life. The second PlayStation 3 game I had and probably my favourite game of all time. Nothing will come close to the memories I’ve made with my brothers playing this game.
This is absolutely one of the most peaceful and relaxing Video Game Soundtracks ever made....LBP is just a Gorgeous gem of a Game and I'm still waiting for LBP4

The moment I hear this song I think of all my memories as a kid playing this game and more importantly all of my friends I am close to today. This makes me feel a level of emotion and happiness I did not think possible given certain circumstances. All this makes me feel is complete happiness and I thank you for that.

"Planet Earth. Or, as the rest of the omniverse call it, the orb of dreamers. The occupants of which spend so much time asleep and dreaming, their vast imaginations humming away, charged with creative energy. Where does it all go? Up, through a cerebrumbilical cord where it collects and melds with all the other dreamer's energy. And something wonderful happens. It forms a world, an ethereal dreamscape of adventure and possibilities. An abstract plane of beautiful wonderment, just waiting to be explored... And you can go there now." -Stephen Fry

I'm 'bout to end this whole mans career
Me: This sing sounds vaguely familiar
The flute and everything after it: I'm gonna end this man's whole career
Ah, nostalgia! Bring me back to the good ol days! When life was so much simpler! When I was a child!🥲
@@606films9 Wow yeah I know right, especially now, I wish I was back in 2010-2013 again
Thank you, Little Big Planet. You're still an active and alive game in our hearts.
besides all the ps3 servers but yeah..
@@rhinuu045 “In our hearts”…?
And then you've got people who say Minecraft is the most nostalgic game ever. Little they know
little big planet do they know
I remember getting lbp2 7 years ago, met a guy who introduced me to all his friends. Thanks LBP.
Davvero questo gioco è stato qualcosa di magico.
(This game was truly magical)

It's weird how games like this define nostalgia and childhood memories now. Less and less people are looking back on Mario and Zelda etc. with memories because no children seem to play them anymore. That's why I'm really worried for 10 years from now when people will look back on games like call of duty with nostalgia...where has the magic gone! :)
+nintendork900 Well, i was born in the year 2000 and LBP came out around 2007 and i used to play it everyday. Mario is more nostagic to my mom who is in her 40's.
AHH! THE NOSTALGIA!!!
Harrison Clegg Nostalgia shot me straight in the heart and knifed me in the lunges.
Wtf is Nostalgia Whenever i Look it up It pops up a god damn disease
Mark Eiden III Nostalgia is something when your brain has a reaction of seeing something old... which can end up making emotional crying... i played this game for 8 years...
LBP3 is officially being delisted on the PS Store. We had an amazing run and I will never forget one of the best game series I ever had the privilege of playing while growing up.
Keep dreaming!
That’s just so sad, LBP was such a huge Playstation game and I’m sure a lot of people still played it after a while. It’s such a shame it’s leaving:(
:(
The happiest moments in my life are behind me. But that doesn’t mean I have to be miserable going forwards.
That hit hard brother, Im honestly holding back tears listening to this, I have grown so much, I just turned 17 and yet I can’t stop thinking of being 8 years old just playing this game all day long, not having a care in the world. Im hitting the gym a lot more lately and I’m feeling better about myself but I long for those days
Who knows what the future holds :)

Make sense since the garden level in lbp has humpty dumpty with score bubbles inside lol

I ended that man's whole career a long time ago
Lmfao imagine if somewhere down in the comments there's a humpty dumpty account grumbling about all the times he got knocked over.
Darn Sackling!
You're 10 years old, you're excited to play this new, cute, looking game called LittleBigPlanet on the PS3. You power it up, start in the gardens, hearing this music playing, never knowing it'll mean so much to you in the future..

WWWWW
This sentence describes perfectly right down to a T. I ain't even gonna cap here.
"We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun." - Winnie the Pooh
Well, I sometimes go back to LBP 1 & 2, if that makes you feel any better. XD They have a certain charm about them that is missing in the other games.
They are creating this new trash game called "Dream" I think. Te game is complete garbage and is like the budget down version single player game of lbp and everyone thinks it's great and in my opinion is bad and it will never be the same..
You haven't even played it and are so judgemental.. This is just sad.
Rest in peace kid, you were quite possibly the best thing to ever Grace this planet.
I'm here to pay my respects to the series of games I spent a large majority of my childhood with.
Thank you for everything, Little Big Planet. Hope we'll meet again someday.
Little big planet has the best soundtrack
Harrison MacIntosh I agree
One of the best yes. (I prefer some John Williams' classics over this one Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter etc. but still love these)
Harrison MacIntosh yeeeeaaaaahhh exactly ;)
You got that right. My top 3 soundtracks would be
LittleBigPlanet - The Gardens Int. Music
Cuphead - Don't Deal With The Devil
Injustice 2 - Fortress of Solitude Theme
I'd have more, but there are way too much to choose from. Just for the sake of 2017, those are my top 3.
LittleBigPlanet2, but the first is good too! Great! Awesome!
My first PS3, I was 10 years old and this game just came out. Man I wish I could go back. It was also my first online experience too so I made many friends. I'm 19 now and little big Planet has lost its magic, I'll miss you
*who said it lost its magic?*
Sure,it's had a rough time keeping it's community together, but the magic Is still there, people just don't realise it.
While it is more of a spinoff, it's good to know that Sackboys' still got some creativity and fluff left in him.
i gonna take my childhood back
I'm hoping that it has a creat mode and a community
Only1naan I think they will, it would be crazy if lbp karting has creative mode but then sackboy a big adventure doesn’t...

2:41 that freaking melody is so badass from the guitar
that part is iconic, right next to the flute
This was one of the pieces performed during Playstation in Concert in London recently! It was amazing to hear it performed by a full orchestra, and the whole brass section played the flute part, which was stunning.

I’m turning 18 tomorrow and am revisiting a lot of stuff from my childhood and I’m glad the last thing I looked back into was littlebigplanet one of the first games I played, I’m so happy I got to experience the game and the community during it’s prime and when it was the thing I would always play when at home. I made long friendships and always wondered what happened to my old Lbp friends.
I remember being heartbroken when my brothers ps3 got the yellow light of death.
Yeah, that was pretty common back then. Happened to me as well. Those fuckin 60GB models
László Pavelkovits mine is still going strong
Mine got sold because I 'didn't use it' when I played LittleBigPlanet pretty much every day with it. XD
Wait what, I didn't know there were such a thing...
Never even heard of the Yellow Light of Death.
Ah...this is such a peaceful....piece. Lol. Great mix!
