As a fanatec owner, fanatec need a way to use other brands wheels without the crazy expensive wheel hub, and new wheels and updates to the ones they already have, since they are quite expensive now don't offer that much for the value anymore
I wouldn't mind paying for the Podium Hub to use a third party wheel IF it did something useful for them. It really should have a generic USB pass-through like Asetek's offering, so you can use third party USB wheels without having cables going everywhere and messing with wheel rotation.

For it to be medium it has to compete with what other brands have, and that's better wheels, cheaper qr systems, that are better than fanatec usually, and you don't need an "adapter" for other other brands wheels.

I'm thoroughly excited for the new Porsche wheel. I wish we would have gotten a better sense of the quality of materials. Hopefully Overtake will get his hands on one once they go into production. I would also like to see Fanatec apply their technology to flight sim controls. The market is thirsty for force feedback controls and other peripherals that increase immersion. With over 15 million players of MSFS 2020 alone the market is huge. Fanatec should also design their cockpit to accommodate virtual pilots as well.

Got to put hands onto the endurance rim in Spa (unfortunately it was already sold out on Saturday so I couldn’t get one) and it had a really nice feel, only worry I have about it is the price with the button module.
As a fanatic user, only the handbrake interests me and only if it is priced competitively. Personally would like to see some new rims and wheel hub combos or a formula style rim can put on a hub.
i dont know if you noticed but they have a new cockpit designed by corsair and they are realeasing the porche wheel very soon and that will be a 200-300 euro wheel. so they are doing excatly what youre saying they should

The usual crazy priced wheel that no one even knows if it will be compatible with the QR1. Fanatec in this period of acquisition and transition worry about the software and also release GT3 wheels at reasonable prices and launch a wheel with F1/LMP style screen that is totally missing from the range.

I'm glad you asked whether the video playback was showing your position on the real track or just a video and he said just a video. That's such a useless feature. AUD$3400 for a wheel that probably won't work properly out of the box, and it'll take Fanatec at least 6 monthsto release a patch. It's also labelled with Endor AG on the back, which is now defunct. Way to go.

They are gonna sell $10k worth of these wheels. It is not a problem to have a $2k wheel. Some sim wheels cost $3k. But even in those cases the price is more "justified". In the case of the Bentley wheel, I would buy it for even $500. It looks hideous and lacks functionality for the price tag. It looks like Fanatec spent a ton of time putting this "cool" display on the wheel, but I don't think anybody has a clue WHY. And now, because of this expensive "feature" that is completely useless (wtf would I want to put some videos of tracks on my wheel) they ask $2k. gtfo, Fanatec. I am so glad I sold all my Fanatec gear except a shifter. The competition out there is so strong that Corsair will have to think really hard how to stay competitive. If Moza, Simagic, Asetek will start supporting consoles more, Fanatec is doomed.

Exactly. The display on the Moza appears to be in the state of the Bentley wheel in 2021 where the display rocks back and forth a lot. I watched a Jimmy Broadbent video from a year ago and the display looked to be pretty solid, for the most part, on the Bentley wheel. I saw a iittle display rocking when they moved the wheel in this video, but it's not too bad. As for the quality of the components, you're quite correct that Bentley would no have certified it if it was like a toy, as others keep saying. I think a lot of people are just put off by the colors. It seems that people making comments don't like the idea of bright colors being used on steering wheels even though they might help identify buttons faster.
I think the complete opposite. All 3 wheels are related to existing brands, Bentley, Porshe and now red bull. You would think fanatec could sell wheels with their own name. Doesnt exactly scream confidence to me

Fanatec should focus on going mainstream with a company like Corsair. Not go niche with 2k wheels. I don't know about this brand.
