I have one of those eBay targets. Maybe $110. Been shooting a few hundred arrows a week into it for 6 months, and so far I’ve used 4 of the 6 faces. In my experience, it’s great value.

Once you shoot it to pieces you can use the insides to build a ghillie suit... what a bargain!!

Ive got a 90cm square layered foam target.
Ive owned it for 8 years.
I just shuffle the layers on a regular basis and ratchet strap it tight again.

@@aaronjames7266 I used 3 packs of the EVA foam floor gym mats, you get 4x 500x500 aprox12mm thick and glued together the edge strips with it to glue into each corner on the inside for more join support and filled it with strips of material and the cardboard kitty litter before gluing the last face on. also you can pin cheap yoga mat in different colours to the face and draw on different target patterns etc.
      hope that helped

I have the rhein heart 18 target was around $160 USD. The only problem I've had is one of my field tips came off in the target (my fault) so I avoid that side. ALWAYS right twist to break target torque "then" pull out for field points. This saves the shoulder as well.🏹🤠👍

Other way to make target is to buy sheet of dense polyethylene foam (for pool insulation or used as subfloor), something 5cm+ thick, cut it in 4 parts, glue 4 layers together with some tape, then wrap with stretch packaging foil. Done. Stops arrow from 50lbs compound bow, and can be easily thrown into a trunk.

Check out Alibaba you can buy targets very similar to that probably not just as good for about $20 to $30 each. You may have to order 10 but that would make it worthwhile then you'd have lots of targets for a long time

This would be the perfect time to go to bunnings and buy some foam mats and cut them to fit and then glue and ratchet it. Still cheaper than an eleven and will last

I dont think it will hold with glue. Most targets like that are put together with heat. A $40 bag target is better.

portable targets get pretty expensive, I went with a Bulldog Double Dog for a "portable as long as its not going that far from my truck target" but looking to get a small cube or ball target for summer.

Great review Steven!!! Its like they say, you get what you pay for so why purchase the target that's going to fall apart?? I use Morrell targets and they sell on eBay for around $50-$65 for a pretty big target and they last a long time. But I do understand that some people are on a strict budget and can only purchase what they can afford. Thanks for the great reviews brother!!!

A very good video explaining the cheaper target. Good quality glue and ratchet straps looks to be the go!!! Just wondering if you could add some weight to it whilst it's apart to try and minimise the movement when the arrow hits it - without the risk of damaging the arrow (hitting the weight)?

I don’t think you should spend $90 for something that you have to repair right after you get it. I would rather invest a little bit more money and have some thing that I know is of good quality And gonna last a long time. $90 is a lot for a one time use and then you have to spend more to repair it not worth it, I have to disagree with you sorry, thanks for sharing take care my friend God bless. 👍🏼🏹🇺🇸
